Charged with the adreniline rush of launching a successful attack, Magna swung again at his target, trying to keep the momentum going. Meanwhile, Morpheus noted that most of their allies were ignoring the smaller spirits now, and rushed to reinforce the back line, stopping briefly to sink his fangs into the ghost on the way.

Neils meanwhile, continued to flesh out his team's options by dropping Rem's Pokeball on the ground. His trusted companion took a second to observe the battle. Ghosts again,, Neils said, So you'll need to be careful with them. Reinforcements incoming, which I'm going to need your help on. Meanwhile, Neils channeled both Mahina and Rem. It was time to start becoming a hair more serious about these ghosts than he had been.

Chu-Chulain and Erebus move forward perfectly in sync, but between the whipping sands and the ghost's defense Chu-Chulain just falls short, although both are able to strike forward. It would appear the spirits to the rear are much tougher, and despite the strikes it seemed very healthy.

On the other side of the tunnel, Chriantha and Aloriana rush forward in a flurry of steel and fire, tearing through one of the great sand ghosts and wounding the other to the point where Gilgamesh is either to finish off the other. Magna rushes forward with another icy fist but this time the spirit seems prepared, and just barely manages to block the attack, the sand whipping through the air throwing off Magna's aim.

Before the rest of you can attack, the two spirits surge forward, slamming their gaseous bodies into Morpheus and Ronan. Both the Charmeleon and the Dark Specialist have their vision go blurry for a moment and they stagger slightly. Morpheus seems to have trouble drawing upon his full power, while Ronan's ears are full of strange whispering, distracting him and keeping him confused. The attack seems to have destroyed the spirits, as their forms have dissipated completely.

Ronan shakes his head to clear the ringing out of his ears. With the smaller spirits apparently dispatched, he checks to see that his companions are having a better time with the wall of sand behind him, then walks forward to help his Pokemon instead. He lifts the wand and sends another blast of dark energy flying at the wounded Palossand. At the sound of more magic, Chu-Chulain tenses and he focuses on the sand monster to find an opening.

Satomi observes the battlefield (what she can see of it) for a short period of time, before taking a Prudent step to her right. Reaching into her satchel, she pulls out a clear globe filled with golden liquid, which sloshes slightly as she bounces it in one hand. "Excuse me, Neils-san; this will evaporate momentarily," she comments quickly, before slapping her hand to the back of Neils's neck, crushing the plastic globe and allowing the super potion within to soak into his skin and begin healing his injuries.

Svalinn shifts his stance slightly and lowers his head, attempting to look both in front of him and behind him at once.

For the Palossand's turn: If either Morpheus or Satomi would gain an injury from an attack, Svalinn will use Bodyguard to switch places with them and take the damage himself. If they both would gain an injury, he will switch places with whoever is hurt the most. If Svalinn himself is the only one who would gain an injury, he will use Protect.

Ronan and Chu-Chulain manage to just barely strike against the great pillar of sand, their attacks once again barely chipping away at the giant ghast. Satomi is just able to slam the Potion onto the back of Neils' neck before a wave of hypnotic energy comes from behind you in the hall, dropping Morpheus, Satomi, and Ronan into an unconscious stupor. As the three fall over, the last Palossand shifts its form before a great jet of sand shoots out of the ground in front of Chriantha, forcing the Charmeleon back as the power of the earth tears into her.

Neils groaned as Sleep went around. Sometimes he forgot just how pesky the status was, though he had to admit a grudging respect that the ghosts were able to land all of their hits. Most Pokemon struggled with Hypnosis, unlike his own team, but there was nothing he could do about it now.

Instead, he threw out a couple commands to Mahina while he linked his thoughts with Rose. The Oranguru waved its fan around, absorbing the power in the air towards himself. Meanwhile, Neils took the link that he had between Rem and Rose and pushed forcing power between them like it was travelling through a tube, forcing the defensive prowers of the Carbink into his Rem.

Ronan and Chu-Chulain both suddenly fall asleep, leaving Erebus to look between them with a dull curiosity. He closes his eyes a moment and pretends to be asleep, too, and the biting sands that swirl around him begin to subside. Chu-Chulain's nap is a short lived one and he blinks back to awake. Ronan, however, stays gripped in a fitful sleep - his hand is white-knuckled over his wand and his teeth are grit.

As the sandstorm wears the armor-clad knight down, she feels a rush of adrenaline flow through her body. Even though the the storm she can see the ground beneath Chri begin to break up and reflexively summons a wall of ice to shield her frenzied Charmeleon. Even now, the poor thing was as much a danger to herself as she was to the ghosts. The blocks of ice appear in front of Chriantha, shattering under the force of the ghost's attack but saving Chriantha from the brunt of the assault. Gilgamesh lunges forward, biting into the giant sand ghast, causing some of the Pokemon's form to melt and instantly become glass. Still, despite the terrifying power behind the Pokemon's attack, the sand doesn't quite dissipate, and you can tell that the creature is still conscious, if only barely. The rest of you hang in there, preparing for the Mismagius as the sand buffets you, slowly but surely stripping you of your ability to fight.

In a flash the new spirits dart forward, simply slamming their forms into you. The first flies into Gilgamesh, drawing an agonized scream from the Pokemon as its skin bubbles. Another flies into Svalinn, grasping hands slowing down the Shieldon's movements. Morpheus' eyes cloud over as he is struck, and Satomi, Aloriana and Ronan feel their bodies seize up, as if some external force is trying to control their movements. The final hits Erebus, and the Pokemon seems to have difficultly drawing upon its full powers for at least a moment.

Throughout the tunnel, between the whipping sand and darkness attack after attack goes wide. Chriantha and Rose both fail to land a blow, and Morpheus stumbles blindly through the hall without hitting anything with his headbutt. Ronan is the only one that seems to have any success, with his dark orb slamming straight into Palossand, once again to little effect.

Fortunately, it seems that luck is just as against the opposing spirits as you. The last remaining spirit to the front greatest a small tremor around it, which Magna is able to quickly float above but the two Charmeleon are trapped in, taking damage even as the great sand spirit finally succumbs to the flames enveloping it. Behind you, the spirits fire off great whirlwinds of sand, although everybody is agile enough to dart aside, save for Rose who is trapped in a whirling jet of the dark sand.

Just as you begin to have a small reprieve, you hear a sharp shriek from the tunnel behind you, before the sound suddenly dies. Our of the shadows a long figure slowly makes its way into the light of the Charmeleons' tails, great blue eyes glaring out at you with hate. It's mouth opens wide, ready to fire out a powerful shriek, but the mist covering the floor fills the Mismagius' mouth, stopping the attack. Instead, the Mismagius apparently begins to cast spells, surrounding itself with a series of runes and firing a great blast of fire at Aloriana, which the girl is just barely able to dive out of the way of. Within the mist the shrieks seem to have died down, but you are unsure how much longer that will last.

Along with the Mismagius, another host of spirits phase through the wall, snarling and glaring at the nearest target.

Chriantha dropped to the ground after the ghost's last attack completely drained from her fierce attacks. Aloriana couldn't mourn her pain for long, but at least her rage had been calmed. The front line of ghost was completely broken, but looking back at Rose and the others locked in battle and some even lying down, the battle was far from over. Additionally, the new spirits surging from the walls seemed to never end and the screaming one finally showed up to help.

Lori had a thought, even though she didn't fully understand it. With Chri down, it was now her duty to keep the ghost busy. Still high on adrenaline her sword flashes forward quickly to intercept the newcomer. "More spirits! Satomi! Would those tags work?"

Neils reacted instinctually to Alorionna's commands. Pulling one of his tags out of his pocket, he raced towards a wall and slapped one of the cleanse tags into the crevice. Hopefully this would prevent the ghosts from spawning quite as rapidly through it, as the tags were of an absurdly high quality, even if Neils didn't particularly want to admit it.

Meanwhile, he continued shoving as much power into Rem as he could while Morpheus retreated from the creatures and attempted to beat down one of the annoying spirits. Meanwhile, Rem floated forwards slowly, spraying dazzling lights at the Mismadgious. Even if he couldn't totally stop the headlong rush of this terrifying banshee, Neils knew that he could slow it down a bit.

Ronan clicks his tongue as the Mismagius appears at the end of the hall, accompanied by more minor spirits. He centers himself against the pulling forces around him and instead looks between his Pokemon. "Aloriana is need of our assistance." The simple statement is enough to get Erebus to open one eye - he huffs out a little jet of flame. Ronan looks back over his shoulder to the ragged-looking Chu-Chulain. "This is more than I imagined. We'll need every bit of power."

"Neils! Ready!" Ronan barks. Erebus swipes forward at the wispy spirit floating between himself and Neils, an attack that Ronan joins in on with quick, sharp bolt of purple static.

Chu meanwhile bristles his fur and jumps up at another of the minor spirits with fangs flashing.

Gilgamesh flickers and dims as the ground swells around him, parts of his body hardening and darkening to dull rock. He shifts painfully, his hardened flesh grinding and crumbling away as he turns towards the specter that has just arrived. The Charmeleon's movements smooth out and increase in speed as a familiar orange glow surrounds him, and with a volcanic roar he charges down the Mismagius.

Satomi blinks and nods to Alorianna, pulling out a Cleanse Tag and moving towards the nearest wall. Fighting against the unnatural contortions of the ghost that attacked her, she slams the wall with her Tag, hopefully sealing it.

The Bullet Punch seemingly passes through the Mismagius, doing nothing to the shrieking spirit. The spirit gives a cackling laugh, before Gilgamesh slams into her, sending her tumbling through the air until she finally stops to glare menacingly at the Chameleon, causing the various spirits to do so as wel.

Ronan's Pokemon quickly shred through two of the spirits, leaving small clouds of smoke before they vanish entirely. For a second a few spirits lock eyes on Ronan, until Satomi slaps the Cleanse Tag on the wall of the tunnel. Instantly the spirits lock eyes on her and, with a shriek, the three nearest her rush her, while the two remaining ghosts charge Gilgamesh and Erebus. Satomi feels her limbs lock up once again, and ghostly energy starts to tear her skin, while Gilgamesh and Erebus are both dazed slightly. Erebus seems mostly unhurt, but Gilgamesh finally collapses under the focused assault.

The Mismagius slumps slightly as the hypnotic wave rolls over her, while one of the spirits in the back lets out an angry cry after Svalinn taunts it.

However, the momentary distractions against the various Pokemon don't hold long. A storm of stones begins to swirl around the Mismagius, until two glittering clumps of rocks fly out. Rem manages to halt the stones in midair, but the rocks fly directly into Aloriana, bouncing off her armor as they connect.

Behind you in the tunnel, the spirits continue to force the sandstorm to rage on, even as they absorb some of the stone around them to enhance their defenses.

Unlike before, no spirits rush out of the wall. It glows and seems to nearly peel away, before it snaps back to the stone. Loud shrieks echo throughout the stonework but it appears, at least for now, no more spirits will flood into the battle.

Satomi's eyes flick around the battlefield, taking in her team's mounting injuries as her own skin continues to be torn apart by the sandstorm and the ghostly fire of the spirits. Svalinn is unable to truly harm the ghosts around us, so I must replace him... but if I remain as I am, I will not last very much longer. With reluctance, she pulls out a clear plastic ball filled with pale green fluid. Crushing it against her own skin, she sighs as her body stops seizing and the phantom heat dissipates, most of the damage from the sandstorm vanishing in an instant.

"Svalinn! Ancient Power!" Satomi calls out, pointing towards the Mismagius at the head of the hallway. Svalinn steps forward and scoops up a handful of rock from the tunnel floor, the stones glowing a pale blue as they hurtle towards the tall ghost before them.

Aloriana grits her teeth as the rocks slam into her, but a surprising amount is deflected by her full armor and shield. She still feels the impact however, and combined with the unrelenting sandstorm she almost is at the end of her endurance. Rose is still trapped at the other side of the battle, but her tough skin and meditation has kept her almost unharmed.

"Hang in there Rose, keep holding them off!" The Knight fumbles with her equipment rather than going forward to attack. Satomi looked busy, so she'd have to take care of herself. She fished out a potion from her pack and quickly applied it. It wasn't much, but it would help keep her up now. Finally, she produced Jett's pokeball and she released him facing the leader of the ghosts. The little Mareep illuminated this half of the room now that the Charmeleon had fallen.

Neils gave a flurry of orders to his team, frantically pushing them towards the Mismadgeus in an effort to keep it from doing too much damage to the party. Morpheus, realising he couldn't do anything to the sand spirits, sprinted to the other side of the battle. Meanwhile, Rem tried to latch onto the incorporeal body and leech what vestiges of dreams it could from the drowsiness that Rem had inflicted. The Mismagius lets out a shrill shriek as the Pokemon in the tunnel attack again and again. It manages to phase through Magna's attack, only for Jett, Erebus and Rem to connect solidly against the ghost. Its eyes burn a bright blue as the nightmarish mist in the tunnel begins to fade away, and all of you have to cover your ears as the Mismagius lets out a cry that would shatter metal. Magna and Jett seem to be effected the most, and the two stagger for a moment before the Mismagius lets out another powerful shriek, before attempting to finish off Magna and Jett with a powerful shriek directly into their faces.

Behind you, the living walls of sand begin to creep forward, before sending out another hypnotic wave. Ronan and Satomi slump over, unconscious once again. The wave hits Neils as well, but compared to the Dream Mist he'd imbibed every day of his life, it was nothing.
