    Umbear looks back to Aurix.

"Among the Hero's, Im the closest we got, unless we want to pay Yama to investigate. We need information. I am tainted in no direction of law or chaos, Evil or Good. I may be able to pass unharmed. Ill be careful. "

umbear holds the spike in hand. but stops for a moment. HE turns around and goes back to the table and grabs the hammer on the table.

He begins to approach the tower once again. Cautiously.

Umbear cried out in pain as the crackling black and red energy surged through him, ripping bone from sinew, muscle from tendons as his arm was shredded apart. Ogre blood spilt upon the ground as he breathed heavily. He spat at the energy and nodded as he began to walk back to the ground, His left arm limp at his side.

"Alright, I learned something. Its not just you goody goods. We'd need someone like Yama to give an honest attempt to scout inside. Also means my plan to put the spike in the tower, wont work. I doubt putting the spike into the outter castle wall will make all the castle grounds a safe haven... What do you guys think?"

Aurix stops and faces the tower as he hears something. "Torilee, come on! They're here." Once Torilee is on board, Aurix flies up into the skies and begins keeping watch on the tower. As he circles, Aurix activates Detect Evil, then casts a new spell, Greater Mage's Decree, on himself. His voice begins transmitting to all non-evil characters in a 21 mile radius.

"Attention people of Juvelnord! This is your Champion, Aurix Kornari! In mere moments, the demon horde will emerge! Soldiers, guardsmen, citizens, take up your weapons and assume your places! Now is the time to stand and defend your homeland! In doing so, you stand in defense of the world itself! Be your greatest self, for on this day above all others, every one of you makes a difference! Today, every citizen of Juvelnord IS A HERO!!!"

Through the spell, Aurix casts Greater Heroism, transmitting the spell to every person hearing his words. He hopes it will bolster them in their time of trial. He turns off the spell for now, allowing that it might be needed again in the remaining 2 minutes of its duration.

(All non-evil characters in 21 miles gain +4 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks, immunity to fear effects, and 20 temporary hit points for 21 minutes.

He looks up to Aurix, feeling the magic comes from his spell he clenches his fist, but winces from his arm still hurting.

"Ill leave discretion up to you. One big quick magic usage, or several smaller ones over time. "

Jaylyn heard Aurix's decree, and his warning that they are coming. She sighed as she slides the staff of the magi into her belt to keep it out of the way. Markas finished meditating on both Mana Crystals and the Ioun Stone Aurix gave him and managed to look over his book for about two hours before he had a nagging feeling that he should return to the others, even though he told them to send word if he was needed.

He rushed out of Warrick's Training Area and headed back to the tower, hearing Aurix's call to arms and feeling his boon. When he arrived he saw his friends battle ready looking at the tower intensely. He recalled what Aurora said about the demons and felt he would be extra vulnerable to their tainted attacks but at the same time his fists and a few of his weapons might equally be as effective on them.

He got on his flying carpet to move over the ramparts quickly and put his carpet away after he landed at I9, close to Aurix, Gorrun, and Geiravor if they needed to help each other. He also reached in his bag and drew a Potion of Greater Animal Aspect and suddenly his arms and hands became larger and hairier and his legs became reptilian! (Chose the powers of the Gorilla and Raptor) He drew his +5 Holy Kama, feeling that would be the best weapon for now in addition to his bare hand. He nodded to his nearby friends and then turned his attention to the offensive darkness spewing from the tower.

With the warning that the demons were coming, Kestejoo reared up, coming down with a loud thud. His huge hooves made visible indents in the ground. Even as he fidgeted and pranced in place, he put on the amulet, then grabbed what components he needed from his bag. Holding a candle aloft, he reached out with his divine powers and prayed to Kamus - lend me the strength to get through this,
Lord, for I have so many doubts, send me a guiding light to punish those who take from you!

A swirl of white, shining energy coalesces in a fog thirty feet in front of Kestejoo, closer to the tower than the centaur wanted to tread. The creature he summons appears to descend from the sky, holy light and a holy aura shining down on the elegantly armored sentinel. She stands alert, her eyes radiating divine light and her noble blade crackling with power. Briefly, the creature glances over her shoulder at the slightly surprised centaur - he had asked for a guiding light - before she nods and turns back to the waves of evil energy coming from the tower.

"Hope..." Kestejoo murmurs, glancing towards Aurora. A brief glance, before turning back and preparing himself for the fight - the war - to come.

The sentinel bows her head in acknowledgement, then turns to the oncoming hordes. She suddenly shifts into her Light Form (Su) and flies into the air so she has a better vantage point on the demons and devils pouring forth. End movement at 14L, 50 ft above ground. Fly speed 150, perfect maneuverability in light form.

As she moves, Kestejoo prepared another summoning spell, concentrating on a second candle. Lord of the Chained, I call on your might, your strength, to destroy those who take from you. The thieves who steal your souls must pay!

Another swirl of holy fog, a ray of holy light, and a creature much like the first descends from the sky - the difference being the enormous wings attached to the messenger of the Gods. A tall, human-like creature spreads his wings, shining with an inner radiance that makes it difficult to look directly at. Appears at 24U, on top of the rampart.

Yet Kestesjoo stares directly at him, mouth agape.

    Something is changing.

Astral Deva lasts for 21 rounds. Ghaele Azata has 20 rounds remaining.

Aurora swiftly sprouted her wings and moved northwest while ascending to just over the tops of the ramparts, coming to a stop between Gorrun and Geiravor. (I/J, 10/11. 15-20') Once there, she called forth her air barrier.
Aurora glanced around at the emerging Abyssal forces and grimaced.
"Not to gross anyone out or anything, but the grubby ones, the Abyssal larvae, are damned souls taking their first steps to full-fledged demonhood. Many denizens of the Abyss actually eat them. None of these creatures are especially strong, which is itself worrisome, in its own way."

Invisible wraiths, there, and there. Burn em if you can. Freeze the maggots. Men, aim for the Dwarfy looking ones. You'll likely do the most against them. Gorrun shouts to those around him.

He suddenly feels a tingle, Yes, at least some of them do. He says softly. With a flash of white light Gorrun's back erupts with huge white feathered wings. His skin begins to shimmer slightly in the sunlight and a soft glow coats his weapons.

Ravenclaw shot the Forge Spurned three times dead on and the creature disappeared in a small puff of smoke, leaving one of the twins without a target. The other fire at the Forge Spurned at G7. Aurix says quickly, "Torilee, I give you power over my power," casting Quickened Remote Casting. Torilee nods hesitantly. "Chuck a Fireball at their boss's head, then we're heading after those wraiths. The spell will tell you how to direct it, don't worry, you can't miss. Then break out the Haste wand, please." Torilee nods and casts Fireball, targeting F6-G7/5', then pulls out the wand of Haste. It explodes over the demonic skull, washing it and every creature within 20' in flames. The flames stop just short of Markas. While Aurix knows some will not care, he hopes to clear the courtyard some.

Markas grinned, giving Aurix and Torilee the thumbs up. Though that fireball was a bit too close for comfort, it was worth it as a lot of the demons in his path were destroyed. However that flaming skull seemed unscathed, appeared to be the leader, and was starting to become very very annoying with its constant chanting. He cracked his ape-like knuckles and glared at the offensive demon, shouting "LOVE AND PEACE!" as he moved from I9 -> H9 -> G8 then landed a punch that felt as if a LARGE gorilla was pounding on the skull! The Hatethrall was struck by Markas' masterful fist. The impact shatterered the skull into small burning fragments that scattered on the ground. The flames extinguished and the cursed bone fragments disappeared in a puff of smoke that smelled of brimstone.

Geiravor stood atop a rampart, surveying the battle thus far. "Don't get cocky, heroes. The depths of the Abyss hide terrible power." she warned.

From her perch, she could only attack a single larva. Shifting into reach stance before she danced and spun her fauchard and she slashed and swung at the hellspawn.
