    Nope.

    Edit
There was nothing to miss because I didn't post any cause.

I figure it is a number of things.
    I was a bit cranky myself. P:
I thought she was talking to the jerk Sarge/the other pony was aggressive.
I thought she was going to stay in the command room to guide soilders & she wasn't even looking at the screens.
We're being assaulted and Love is failing
    Everything is falling!

Pffft, you're fooling yourself if you think there's time to sleep after all this.

35 diamond dogs is a pretty significant number.

It happens. We all got caught off guard one way or the other with this scenario. But no pony is going to throw Love under the bus.

    I'm pretty sure that Brazen's a hooves-on teacher.

Sniper doesn't have the insomnia disadvantage.

Yep! The number of forces is equal more or less, luckily (unlucky?).

    I wonder...

Aye! Love certainly doesn't need to have more people mad at her though. She's starting to build up a list that she doesn't much care to have at all.

I'd love to get everypony power armor, but wearing power armor is a really bad idea unless you have the skills for it. I think it'd be great if the whole squad was wearing the same armor though. It'd scream team unity.

I honestly think that if Rose didn't release the CMC upon the castle, Rose would either be in one of two situations:

    1. In the hallway with no weapons or gear other than armor.
    2. In the hot tub fully naked. Gear is nearby, but she's sopping wet.

So honestly if there's is anything for Love under that bus, it's a thankful Rose who'll hug and boop her snoot for pre-preemptively making rose aware of a possible situation. :D

Welcome to the 'Powerful Enemies List' club!

Sniper in power armor... It seems like that would hinder his skillset rather than compliment it. But, hey, we'll see.

I'm not sure where Sniper would be; probably getting ready to hand guard duties over to Brazen possibly.

Just wait until he starts training Love or Star at the same time as Rose.

Can I get a 'OOC' put in the title for this thread? Twice I mistook it for the IC thread and had to remove posts.

[At this rate, I might have to do a side thread to deal with all the NPCs Rose is wanting to talk to]

Hey! I'm going to work on shrinking that list as soon as I can. Love loves being liked. D:

There are some lightweight power armors... they just don't exist yet.

I could see that becoming a thing in the future! It's hard to have a five/ten minute conversation in the main thread where things move more quickly. The thread moving quickly is great. I'd never want to change that, but it does have that drawback.

Speaking of drawbacks! I put some new one's on love's sheet. They aren't "real" in the sense that they are worth zero points. I more listed them to remind myself.

    Spoiler: Drawbacks!
    Show
    Quirk [Charitable] You are generous
Quirk [Chummy] You seek out company
Quirk [Curious] You are naturally very inquisitive
Quirk [Guilt Complex] You feel personally responsible for those who play a significant role in your life
Quirk [Lecherousness] You have an unusually strong desire for romance
Quirk [Low Empathy] You have difficulty understanding emotions
Quirk [Obsession (Fame)] Your entire life revolves around a single goal
    Quirk [Pacifism] You oppose killing
Quirk [Paranoia] You are out of touch with reality
Quirk [Workaholic] You tend to drive yourself past your limits, and find it hard to relax

    Edit
Don't forget that the laser dot and targeting program add +5 weapon skill! +3 and +2 respectfully. You need the hud'd goggles to use them.

It's not a question of rank. Rose has no knowledge of troop and enemy positions outside the room (only that the D.Dogs outside were chased off/disabled in some way). She doesn't want to leave the room with two fillies until there's a plan in place to move them safely. After all, she could run into a pack down a random hallway, and that would be bad. D:

Since Sniper has more intel on the situation, Rose is deferring to him to call shots right now. Knowledge is power, and right now that puts Sniper in a better position to "lead" Rose.

I'm fine with the main IC thread running at a good pace. Talking to the NPCs in a side thread works out a bit better in the aspect that it's private and the other players won't know what rose is doing until after the thread is done and posted. And so I may petition Milt for a single BIG thread where Rose does a 1-2-3 meeting in one day:

    1. Meet Twilight in Canterlot to discuss Starlight Glimmer.
    2. Meet the Justices for a hearing on not imposing a horn removal sentence.
    3. Meet with Chrysalis after the hearing to discuss the success/failure of that.

Now there's a thread worthy of some amount of length!
    Who says size doesn't matter?

Rose has an actual point for Chummy. She's been seeking everyone's company out this day.

    Letch I can see. ^_^

Low empathy is somewhat opposite of Rose, who really tries to understand the emotions of others. She's not a psychologist, but being able to use empathy on patients helps them remain cooperative (i.e. Chrysalis).

True! It can get a bit complicated too when the group does fade to black fill-ins. I do like my fade to blacks though.

Aye! I noticed. I could very much see Love getting points for the drawback (if she weren't maxed already). Love almost likes everyone she meets instantly, including the bad ponies. There have only been a few people she has disliked from first impressions.

She wouldn't have the full point version were the character must hit on everyone, but I could see a one point version on her.

/nod. I don't think loves too different in that she wants/tries to understand the emotions of others. She wants to get them, but she's a bit of a spock (from her upbringing). Despite any desires, she struggles to connect. At least she isn't sure if she's really connected or if she has not only tricked her "friend" but also herself.

Sniper understands that. He just doesn't like the phrasing. He's busy trying not to be such a withdrawn hermit and 'orders' sounds formal and distant.

That and he's uncomfortable with ponies looking to him for guidance right now.

Point 1 overlaps with Sniper's agenda. Point 3 sort of does because Sniper needs to check in with Chrysalis post-Last Crusade and try to work on her reform. He has a quasi-rebuttal to her statement about regret and he did promise to share his discoveries with her. Sniper takes those promises pretty seriously.

Fun fact: for a while, I toyed with the idea of Sniper closing each thread with a letter to Chrysalis sharing his friendship progress.

You know what's funny? This is the exact reason Sniper ricochets off of her so often. He's never certain if she's serious, acting, trying to trick every pony or just plain crazy. So he treats her like a child because she's so outlandish he doesn't know what else to do with her.

Akilah was assigned to you for that mission. He wasn't an actual member of the EDF. However, he has been doing well and spending time with family.

And as for Brazen's training session...

Yay! It's working. Love never breaks her persona. Only with Scope and she notices that he treats her different now. I meant to touch on it in the thread. Was Love acting when she was crying or was she acting when she said she was acting and settled down?

Edit On the wanting to grease up Rose.

Roll against Environment Suit skill to get into or out of your suit quickly. A successful roll halves the time required.
It normal takes 30 seconds to get into a battlesuit.

You probably could have hastened the action too. -1 per 10% reduction in time.

Read up on low-self esteem, and there was an article about where some people surround themselves with those who admire them, looking for easy gratification for their own worth. Not entirely healthy because they get dependent on that instead of working on the real problem. Rose is slowly getting better with loving herself though, so she hasn't hit that trap at the moment.

I suppose the squad could start sending Chrysalis letters after every mission. It just seems redundant since they're already visiting post mission.

So... Anyone have ideas on who Wrath is, aside from possibly the Anti-Pie?

Once Rose feels comfortable that they're safely away, she'll double back to rejoin PegaGrump and The Chin.

Nah, Rose won't steal your thunder. Visitations are plenty to talk to Chryssi.

Incidentally, is Rose the only one who still addresses Chrysalis with the title Queen? she's not consistent but maybe half the time she is either calling her Queen Chrysalis (when serious) or Chryssi (informal). I dunno, just found that interesting.

It's Love's Drone #9. After getting electrocuted from a short in the charging station, it has gained sentience and has come seeking revenge for being given bathroom duties twice in a row.

Anti-Pie? Is that what we're calling her now?

    Also, this.

By the skin of your teeth, but yes, you are good to go with explosives.

I don't know, that's Love's doing. Wrath works for me, but if Anti-Pie sticks, then okay.
