    Default Ethernet problems

so I have been using wi-fi to connect to the internet recently, but it just isn't working. to slow. the cause of this change was because, a couple months back, the corded connection stopped working. whenever i try to plug it in it doesn't get recognised and whenever i go to manually connect te computer ays it's not set up to use a cord, despite having done so in the past. any help?

I like to create builds and see them as optimized as powerful. I also have an annoying habit of having gratuitous character ideas and used to regularly ask to switch them out, or ask for small, against-the-rules, caveats to see a character come to completion without being hopelessly useless.
While I have kicked a few of these habits, or at least slowed them, I try to keep all of my builds/ideas across as few, as official, and as popular rulebooks as possible as to avoid annoying everyone else.

With the information provided, impossible to say. It could be that the Ethernet controller on the motherboard has failed, in which case, your only alternative would be to buy a plug-in Ethernet card and use that instead. Could be a software issue, but finding out what it is in that case would be very difficult.

Yep, we'll need more info to diagnose this one. A screenshot of what exactly Windows tells you might help. I have some generic advise but I've no idea how effective they'll be.

    1. Try reinstalling the Ethernet driver.
    2. If the Ethernet port is really dirty, try carefully cleaning it.
