Invisible Blade anti-synergy
Does the invisible blade PrC strike anyone else as odd? It is very feat intensive, and after all those feats the class revolves around feinting, which you can do at range, but you have to follow it up with a melee attack - and since you've spent all your feats on ranged dagger attacks, you now suck at them and probably can't follow up your feint with an attack that will hit.
Is this intentional, or just a weird oversight?Last edited by Hypersmith; 2017-10-03 at 11:43 AM.
The moon sees nothing of this. She is bald and wild.
And the message of the yew tree is blackness - blackness and silence.

Re: Invisible Blade anti-synergy
I think there is an unofficial errata for this prestige class from the writer. Some kind of mix up with another prestige class. (The master thrower maybe. It could be that they were meant to be one prestige class but were split up later. That would make it a weird oversight.)

Re: Invisible Blade anti-synergy
The class was originally ten levels, but they cut out all the levels that dealt with ranged dagger attacks. So half-and-half on the oversight vs. intentional issue?
I think I homebrewed it to have the ranged feats replaced with Improved Feint and Combat Expertise. Then the Uncanny Feint ability lets you do it as a free action at Level 3 and more than once per round at Level 5.

All the more reason to combine it with Bloodstorm Blade.

Re: Invisible Blade anti-synergy
damn, I just looked at bloodstorm blade and that actually seems like pretty great synergy. Take the group fake out skill trick, feint a bunch of people with a free action and then lay into them with Blood Wind Ricochet.
