Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
I googled them and found 'The Kids Aren't Alright.'
The music was alright, but the music video was definitely in the same trippy weirdness spectrum as They Might Be Giants and Radiohead.Last edited by The Ari-tificer; 2017-10-08 at 01:22 PM.

Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
Their other two big hits you might have heard before are Self Esteem and Why don't you get a job?. Not as artsy/trippy/experimental on the clip as The Kids, music style wise pretty similar to Pretty Fly.
No real funny wifi names with those though.Last edited by Lvl 2 Expert; 2017-10-08 at 03:50 PM.

Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
My family uses scifi computer names for our wifis. When I was younger, my home wifi was called GLaDOS. My dad's wifi is called EPICAC. Mine was called Joshua for a bit, then when I got a new router, I named it Very Little Gravitas Indeed.

Please take everything I say with a grain of salt. Unless we're arguing about alignment. In which case, you're wrong.

Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
One of our neighbors has named their wifi "viruswarning", but aside from that there is a sad lack of creative network naming in my neighborhood.
Mine was Holodeck #6 for a while.I say we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find. And we can act like we come from out of this world, leave the real one far behind. We can dance.

Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
My preference is a name that is associated in my mind with a specific word or phrase that can be used as a password. The connection shouldn't be based on popular culture, but some incident in your own past.

Re: Clever names for a wifi network?
This is correct; passwords for example should not be Personal, that's the standard advice. The trick of course is to make them personal to you but not to anyone else. That old trick of children's names or pet names or... fine. But can they guess the name of the first lego model you paid for with your own money as a kid? Can they guess the breed of the horse that your grandmother's neighbour had that he let you ride on when you were six? Etc.
