Late to the party, but...Roy.
Elan is amusing and really necessary for some of the humor of the strip and I gotta admit, I love his dad. But Roy is a straight man with a personality, which I think is harder to pull off then a whacky comic relief. Elan is well done, but having a lawful good character who isn't a paladin and can be relatable? Gotta pick Roy just for that.For all of your completely and utterly honest needs. Elan. He's the protagonist, and his awareness of dramatic devices is one of the more interesting traits in the strip.
