I wonder if a light spell like sunburst can have an effect through a forcecage? it's transparent, after all.

If I was V, going up against Vampires, that is surely a spell I would learn and prepare. And the others in the party would probably have the ability to either make the reflex save or have blindness cured by the new Cleric.

    Brother Fangstone! perfect!!!

I'd expect him to make her into a vampire (she's at least 5th level) and, why not, bring her along. For Hel, in terms of clerics, the more, the merrier.

I'd probably just go for dismissal if thinking tactically, OTOH, this is a webcomic, not a D&D tactics seminar, and as a webcomic Bloodfeast smashing the forcecage from within could be quite amusing.

What about another spell like Enlarge Person? Can it be Quickened? Or could that dwarf cast Thor’s Might?

Too bad Belkar couldn't cast Animal Growth.

I didn't get this feeling until you mentioned it. Dwarves, at least these dwarves, are highly social. He could have been a mentor or a trusted friend, so hopping around the planes to bop demons on the head with a hammer with a good friend sounds more like something Minrah wants in a non-romantic sense: Validation as a cleric (She might have some fighter levels) and glorious battle.

One thing I found out by re-reading the archives is that Malack circumvented the 1d4 day thing with his staff and mentioned a few custom spells. So Durkon could have raised all of them as vampires, not vampire spawn regardless of class levels depending on what that spell did.

Another problem with reverting Bloodfeast would be... his death. The vampire spawn would swarm him like bullet ants, and they'd only need a round or two to kill him.

Being a full vampire, Brother Sandstone is actually seriously dangerous now. Where other spawn are hitting for one negative level, he's hitting for two. He could have a dangerous spell or two left, and he might even survive a round of melee with Roy.

Well, that's not great for the team. I wonder if V couldn't clear a path before dismissing the cage though. A wall of fire or two in a ring wider than the box they're in perhaps, allowing for dismissal and immediate assault on a small group by the order.

Well, well. Durkula has identified V as the most dangerous enemy. Which, by OotS logic, means that V will not be the most dangerous enemy.

It is time for Elan to rise.

Also, brother Sandstone is a nasty piece of work now that he's a vampire.

I think you might be misreading. He's offering to fight with her against demons(chaotic evil afterlife), specifically.

Lawful good folks do that, of course... but so do Lawful Evil ones. He's offering her an eternity of killing demons... as a devil.

Why would it have to be V? Haley could easily have a wand that can dispel the Baleful Polymorph, and it's not completely impossible that even Minrah could cast Dispel Magic successfully. Sure, it would be very unlikely, but like you say, this is a webcomic.

One other thing this shows us is that V didn't pick up those boots in Gnometown. Otherwise, V could just bop over there and bust an AoE on the vamps before turning Roy and Belkar loose to do their thing.
