Chief Hagar: "The cubs will go on their first hunt alone. Priest, annoint them with war paint to ensure success."

The priest paints your faces with sacred dyes. Choose an effect:

    -Gain 2 favor
-Recieve the bless spell, but duration is 1 hour. (1d4 to attack or save one time).

Chief Hagar: " Take these Coral arrows. Coral is effective against wild beasts."

Gives 10 Coral arrows. Consider a roll of 1 as a 2 when rolling damage vs beasts.

Your Celd rowboats are well crafted. They hold 6 people, can travel in less than a foot of water, and are light enough to be easily carried by two people.

As lucient recives the arrows, Tessanna doesnt try to make a claim on any of them.

Thorak takes the blessing gracefully and enthusiastically.

You honor us, priest. We will bring glory to our people!

I'll take the Bless effect and ride out with Zorg, away from the other 2.

    One more thing :

Chief Hagar gives you a hunting dog. Specialized for game hunting, these dogs are able to track and flush out prey, and can be commanded to move around or even behind a prey before closing in. The effectiveness of commands can be based off your persuasion or survival check.

Tessania and Laucien come up from the north end, 200 feet north of the point where the ogre is and land behind some trees with the hunting dog. You cant see the deer from here but it's a good starting point as you're hidden.

Thorak and Zorg come up from the south, behind the ogre, who didn't see you land. You're 100 feet away from the ogre and hidden. Zorg is quiet for now but if he opens his mouth the ogre will surely hear. Maybe even the deer.

As soon as Tessanna is within 120 ft of the deer, she fires her "arrow" its an arrow of fire, and an obvious mark of "go go go"

uhh she rolls 20 crit! 6+6=12 dam to the deer.

Laucian sneaks towards the deer, looking to silently get within 150 feet and have eyes on the target.

Lucien creeps off making a northwest arc, moving behind the ridge unseen by the deer.

Tessania creeps straight through the trees, confident she can blast the deer to smithereens with her firebolt. She was not spotted by the deer.

    Thorak and Zorg up.

I ready my shield and see if the ogre has noticed anything. If he does, I take the Ready action to toss a rock in the opposite direction of where the deer and the other 2 are (basically to the southwest). This may result in the ogre coming this way.

I also gesture to Zorg to keep quiet as do I.

At this point several things happen. Because of my tendency to write abundantly, Ill put it in spoilers so as to not unduly fatigue players with information not relevant to them.

    Thorak
    Spoiler: Thorak
    Show

As a matter of fact, despite having disadvantage, the ogre managed to spot one or both of them (you can't quite tell which).

You toss the rock, the ogre spins around and looks wildly, spotting you and Zorg, who was positively trembling in excitement. The ogre looks less than pleased to see two muscular Celd warriors at his back. You note that Zorg is not an ideal candidate for any sort of stealth.

With good sense Ogre abandons the deer hunt and charges at the two of you, howling in rage. Zorg howls back in a mixture of nerves and ecstasy, runs at the Ogre.

    Spoiler: Tessania
    Show

Tess gets in range and launches a firebolt, hitting the deer square in the heart with such force that the deer instantly dies while being hurled backward, and proceeds to tumble down the far side of the ridge.

    Gain 1 favor.

The hunting dog is with you. Seeing the deer get hit, he tenses up and whines, a muscular mass of teeth and instincts dying for you to command it to run, bite, pin down, kill
    .
    Spoiler: Lucien
    Show

Lucien, with vantage point at the head of the ridge, is the only one who can now see the deer as it tumbles down westward and lands in the snow, to his right, about 60 to 70 feet away. This is now getting complicated. You have to go even further inland to fetch the deer, and the further you are from water the less chance you have to escape if the Murk appears, which it inevitably will if you linger.

Unfortunately, Lucien, you see a more immediate problem. About 150 feet further inland from the deer body you see a mass of shapes suddenly spring into action. It is the undead, brought out of dormancy by the commotion. They gargle, hiss and gnash their teeth as they begin to dash towards the deer. In your white furs, you blend in to the snow a bit, so you think they haven't yet noticed you. But then again, it's hard to tell what a zombie is thinking. These are fast zombies, and can run slightly faster than a person (speed 40). There are about 8 to 10, in various stages of decomposition.

The ogre finishes his move and hurls a javelin at Zorg at long range. The poor ogre is so exhausted it doesn't even land close. "OGRE WEAK ZORG STRONG AHAHAHA!" Observes Zorg, who is so loud that even Lucien hears him clearly on the other side of the ridge.

I feel like I wasted my action. BUT I still can use a bonus action. I cast Shield of Faith, giving me a +2 AC (20 total). I also draw my warhammer. I’ll charge in next round.

Laucien quickly moves back over the ridge to Tessana, making extra sure not to draw the ire of the undead. (Roll: 13+7=20)

On reaching Tessana, he tells her the undead have taken the deer. Fighting an ogre and ten undead for scraps is foolish, and we need to retreat, now! Ignoring the curious death of the deer, he shimmies down the ridge and takes a wild shot at the ogre, making his priorities completely clear. (Roll with disadvantage: 19+5=24 to hit, and nat20. 2+3=5 for damage to ogre)

You agilely half roll half slide down the snowy ridge and shoot the ogre in the ass. He twists around comically to look at his injury, then his eyes trace a line slowly up to you. He bears his fangs at you, but he looks scared. He's exhausted and starving, and he knows it.

The hunting dog just can't deal with it anymore-the entire purpose of his life honed by training and generations of breeding for this sole purpose. With sudden speed he bolts off over the ridge towards the deer.

    Tessanna next.

At me, beast! Taste Kord’s fury!

    12+5+1 (bless) for 18

Not it be a rules police, but you do not get sneak attack if you have disadvantage. Not that either roll wouldn’t hit normally.

You either need advantage or an adjacent ally who isn’t incapacitated (me/Zorg) and you DON’T have disadvantage.

I strongly considered giving you advantage since you were up on the ridge and had that height, but it was a long distance shot. I generally think height should give advantage at least within first range increment.

Moving on, the Ogre attempts to fend off Thoraks potent blow with his great club, but he was too slow.

Zorg follows up to Thoraks right. Beneath his food stained fur kilt* you see his short, powerful legs propel him forward as he gleefully buries his Coral greateaxe in the ogres left hip for a formidable 11 damage. "I LIKE KORD TOO!" He whispers.

Lucien and Tessania, over the ridge you hear the dog take down a zombie, then start to yelp.

A moment later all of you see the hunting dog shoot over the south end of the ridge heading south - southwest, not quite towards Thorak but to his left, parallel to the shoreline. You can see blood in his tan fur, not sure whose.

Chasing the dog are 9 fast zombies, two of which stumble in the snow and tumble down the ridge straight toward Lucien and Tessania. Two more get stuck in the snow that had piled up at the base of the ridge, making idiotic grasping movements toward the dog, who is gracefully outpacing the remaining 5 zombies in pursuit.

The ogre panting in pain and fatigue does a wide backhanded swing with his great club, Thorak blocks with his shield. Even so ragged, you can feel the strength in the blow. You you reckon he can 1 shot any one of you if he manages to hit. Luckily he seems too tired to be accurate.

Because of absence of land to grow fiber plants, cotton is unknown. The Celd only wear fur. Thick fur with leggings in the winter. In warm weather, breezy kilts, thinner leather and lighter tops or topless.

"Undead got the deer, we're next! Kill the ogre and get to the boats!" He runs towards the boat, shooting back at the zombies chasing the dog.

Laucien killed one. There are only 3 chasing the dog. Two have landed just in front of Laucien and Tessania and are prone.

We shouldn’t let the undead claim our prize! We finish this ogre and then the zombies. The we feast! For Kord! For the clan!

Not loosing a step, Tessanna touches the prone zombie adjacent to her and a shock passes through it.

advantage due to it being prone:

2+4+4(bless)=10/15+2+4=21 to hit. 7lightning damage. And the zombie cant make opportunity attacks for the round.

Tessanna uses all of her move to close in on Thorak and Zorg but ofcourse still staying clear of the Ogre.
