I mean sure, I can bring you back, but that will only make you happy in the short term. You'll come down, you'll help us out, you'd defeat Hailing and then you'd go back to your normal habits without learning anything because you'd thought you got away from being punished for what you've done.

She still has a chance to catch Beryl before she leaves entirely, its just that I can't overlook the fact that she sacrificed herself needlessly and didn't really learn anything from what shes done. like this was the moment she could shine and show her growth as a character and nothing substantial was given yet, so its like, how can I accept that as an answer? Vodkana needs to be held to some higher standard as a person at some point.

I just thought Igor would answer the second question with "No." and that it would be a fine, because its a basic question that doesn't need explaining. like there at least two ways for that to go that would be perfectly fine and somehow Igor chose the one worst possible way that I didn't think they would go, because who answers both with yes? This is not something hard, or advanced, that is just a basic yes or no question that would be obvious to answer.

Well then, get replyin', the sooner you can do that, the sooner your character can get back in and help. I'm thinking that Beryl is not entirely objective with her judgement- she has her personal reasons for being angry, which will work in your favor.

My reasoning is that cowardice is the exact thing you don't want in a warrior or soldier facing one of the most powerful people in the galaxy/universe. desertion isn't exactly easily forgiven and the perpetrator welcomed back with open arms. That and Vodkana DIED. people tend to get very emotional about that, and as shown in Dragon Ball itself, the knowledge that they can be resurrected back to life hardly diminishes the value or impact of somebody dying to the people within the universe. Goku didn't shrug off Krillin getting blown apart by Freeza.

Dragon Ball and its protagonists eventually become pretty flippant about dying due to the Dragon Balls, but the flipside of that was freaking out whenever the balls were threatened.

As for Vodkana's punishment, I think Yenma has already spoken.

Yes, but Vodkana isn't a soldier, or even a warrior. She's a teenaged girl thrust into a very unique and traumatizing set of circumstances, a fact which Starlight will be only too happy to harp on point out later.

The problem Raziere was talking about is that Vodkana failed to internalize what Yemma and Beryl said about why her dying needlessly was an act of selfishness. Specifically, to spare herself the heartache of having to fight Hailing AND lose her friends in what she perceived to be a losing battle. This really should be a wake-up call for Vodkana that her friends are literally the only thing standing in the way of eternal damnation, and that she needs to get serious about casting off the habits instilled in her by a conniving creature like Spoon. After all, in Vodkana's mind, it might be what gets everyone killed.

It goes without saying that I can't tell you how to play Vodkana either, and these are just my thoughts, but I thought i'd put them out there to help you come up with ideas.

So, as an aside, I have an idea about the whole telepathy thing that could be interesting to explore down the line. Specifically, the Protoss idea of the Khala, tapping into a state of shared consciousness. Maybe that's what we're doing -- I mean, ponies and incirrans aren't telepathic by nature, and humans certainly aren't. Maybe this is all made possible by the Khala, and learning to use it to its fullest potential could be an idea for a training arc.

As an aside, after this is all over, Starlight is probably going to try to suggest a restructuring of things between the RA and the EDF, in an attempt to keep all of the time travelers in the same group for convenience's sake. We don't have to actually do it, but it is an idea she'll bring up anyways. (I, personally, have a mental vision of the RA becoming this enigmatic group known for having time travelers and interdimensional aliens, and they're even weirder for tapping into this whole Khala thing, but I'll leave it up to y'all if you wanna do it or not.)

To elaborate on the allusion I made in the IC thread:

I think it would be funny if the Dark Tower legend in our game was a Chinese Whispers version of Korin's tower. Basically, where the people of Korin's land set up the tower to commemorate a great hero and believe that God lives on top of the tower and have been trying to reach the top to make amends of God, the Gunslingers of Galeed mistook God for the Devil and think the great hero sealed it in the tower.

It would give Martin Victor a reason to seek out Korin's tower and climb it in the future. For maximum hilarity and irony.
