Essentially, this is a battle in three fronts, The central front is Malak and Rafe versus the fighters and that's going quite well, 'Riq got a deep stab (though not quite as deep as he wanted) one one and Malak blasted three others, dropping two of them, and none of the remaining fighters could land a blow against them.

The western front had mixed results; as while both Rowan and 'Riq managed to hit the King, he created a large hemisphere of darkness and hid somewhere within it. Furthermore, one of the central front warriors rushed Rowan and slammed his greataxe into his gut (though not without eating an attack from the Water Prince; he's seen better days) for 12 damage.

The eastern front, on the other hand, would bne hard pressed to call anything other than a failure; while Akaash was able to knock Ransk off of Goma, who in turn was able to smash him with his shield on the way down, it wasn't enough to stop him fron taking out Goma's knees and knocking him to the ground before kipping up and leaping over the table and off to the central front, but not before whispering three words into Goma's ear. Similarly, the three remaining magi gestured to the figures on the table and three of them screamed as purple energy was extracted from them. Only one of the three continues to draw breath.

[[Sorry for the delay; it's gotten quite hot this way and it just drains my energy for combat math. This *should* be the last time I do this, as we're getting a actual air conditioning system soon rather than just fans. Again, sorry for the delay.]]

The "three front" analogy still holds, but the once eastern front has moved closer to the middle, leaving the previous 'center front' now being the southern front.

Regardless, the now southern front is doing quite well; the Water Prince continues his assault of the gnoll warriors and drops the one threatening Malak, who used the opportunity to cast unhindered to blasts a reddish bolt at the tree remaining gnoll wizards; each of them drops in sudden exhaustion ad blue energy is pulled from them into Malak's waiting hands. With the only remaining gnoll warrior in the front moving to attack Akaash (and misses due to the blurring effect), the southern front has been won.

The western front is middling; While Rowan manages to dodge the attack of the gnoll warrior, doing so knocked his aim askew and he totally missed his intended target. 'Riq decides it's safer to attack the foe he can see and moves to the central front as fast as he can. A fletched projectile (it's hard to tell if it's a bolt or arrow at this distance) flies out at him as he does, but it fails to hit his target.

It's the central front where all the action is, though. Akaash tries and fails to land a blow on the acrobatic Ransk, but the bleeding Goma (it should now be 8 bleed damage he's taken, don't forget to write that down) was slightly more sucessful. Ransk, seeing he doesn't have time to block, instead slams his open palms against the incoming shield, doing his best to attenuate the blow. It's mostly successful, but it did slam him hard enough to hurt. In response, he stomps Goma's foot for 3 damage and grabs hold of Akaash, the rough grapple doing 3 damage to him as well.

    And the fight continues!

First the good news: Rowan rolled away from his gnoll attacker, dodging a swipe from its axe as he incinerated it on his return volley. Rafiq rushed in and stabbed the gnoll in the chest, but didn't get quite as deep as he'd like; (Akaash wasn't much of a flanker with a gnoll wringing his neck.). 'Riq gets into position and readies himself for an attack.

Next, the bad news: The gnoll struck the Water Prince back, dealing 15 damage to him as he moved his grip forward and essentially uppercutted Rafiq with the blade. Malak tried to hit Ransk with a mental whammy, but to no avail, and Goma still can't get a hit on Ransk. Akaash also tries to trip ransk, but he knows the ground game and fights it off.

The really bad news: Ransk, faster than you could react, dragged Akaash into the darkness (which anyone with darkvision can see in). While Ransk was too busy pulling him in to focus on damage, the Carrion King took advantage of the situation and swUpdated mapung at a moderately defenseless Akaash, with both fang and blade, doing a total of 25 damage to him!

Khwaja Malak, who can see through weaker fields of supernatural darkness (and normal darkness) without hindrance, gives a play-by-play of what he sees. As soon as Rowan 'ports Akaash out of there, and after K-M moves over by Rowan, Khwaja Malak throws a healing spell on Akaash.

Akaash has darkvision so targeting is no issue.

If there is a gnoll still standing other than Ransk and the carrion king, akaash will attack it to help clear the field, moving as needed and flanking if possible. If other gnolls are accounted for, will dart in, attack and move back from Ransk at least 15 ft.

First thing first, the good news. There's a surprising amount of it. Rowan was able to teleport Akaash out of Ransk's grasp and next to Malak, who healed him for 13 damage. Between Akaash, and both Q's (Rafiq and Allsariq), the final gnoll soldier drops. Goma got close enough for the Carrion King to strike at him from the darkness, but none of his attacks managed to land; he was more interested in staying in his darkness than getting close enough to land a strike.

Now the bad news: Ransk realized who took his last prize and rushed Rowan, dodging Goma and roughly grabbing the mage, dealing 3 damage to him and clasping his mouth shut, rendering him unable to speak as he again quickly draws him back into the shadows. [[In case it's not clear, he did a charge, replaced the attack with a grapple, and then used his Tension class feature to move up to his speed as a swift action]]

    Spoiler: Rowan

You've been hit with the Choke Hold Talent. I'm gonna assume you get a lungful of air before you got grabbed, so you have 30 "rounds" worth of air. Every full-round or standard action cost you 1 round. Unfortunately for you, the Choke Hold talent gives a scaling bonus to this, so each round you are grappled, you lose 3 rounds worth of air. You have Verbal Casting, so this also leaves you unable to cast during this period.

You're kinda stuck trying to break the grapple or attacking him in the mean time, though it's reasonably certain that the grapple won't last that long. Sorry, but you've got Magical Signs, it was kinda obvious that you were the one who teleported Akaash out of his grasp, so going after anyone else would have been pointless.

Remember, only those with darkvision can see into the blue circle. Otherwise, it's just an inky void.
