For future reference, roll a Climb and/or Acrobatics check when you are going to do something like that. You're okay this time, but don't make a habit out of it.

Also, it has come to my attention that there is no RAW way to identify combat speres and other (Ex) abilities, so after talking about it in the Discord, we decided that all of this would fall under the jurisdiction of Knowledge (Martial). You may trade in one of your skills for it at no cost, and you would be considered trained in it.

As the hyenas close in, only the Water Prince was able to react in time. Deciding to rush the sole gnoll, Amani heads up, rapier drawn. The gnoll itself raises its hands in a gesture to the hyenas, who move into position.

He just used the War sphere's Totem of War, making his hyenas do extra damage. Fun fact, since its' so big (50 ft radius), I'm not going to bother to draw it. Just assume that the gnoll and hyenas are within its borders.

At pfm's suggestion, I am trying Google Drawings for the maps. If this is too different, I can change back next round, but let's give it a shot

Acting quickly, both Akaash and Goma were each able to drop a hyena, and Alssariq managed to hit a pair of them (though only one fell; the one marked 3 still stands), but it did not stop their advance, Meanwhile, the Water Prince decided to go against the leader and lands a devastating blow, but that doesn't stop his gesturing1. He then howls a piercing tone that rattles2, if even for a moment.

He is using the Warleader sphere's Aggressive Flanking tactic; now everything within the emanation (the big grey circle) counts as flanking as long as they have an ally also threatening the same foes... which is everyone but 3 (who rolled a 1 and therefore that +2 wouldn't have mattered, and 4... who actually is flanking, so it doesn't matter

Spoiler: DC 17 Kn: Martial (2)
    Show
He used the Fearsome War shout from the Warleader sphere

As far as the hyena's themselves go, while Alssariq was able to fend off most of them, one of them savaged his calf. While it wasn't enough to take them him off his feet, it did leave him with ripped flesh that is bleeding continuously; dealing 7 damage and 1 bleed. Malak was even less lucky; they hyenas were able to get him off his feet and do serious harm to him, doing 11 points of damage; his only saving grace is that the second hyena only set up the strike and hasn't followed through with it.

[[Just in case it got lost in the description, both Malak and Riq are taking 1 bleed, and Malak ate a max damage non-crit attack and is now prone.]]

The pain of his wounds keeping him from even really noticing the enemy caster's attempts to scare him, Khwaja Malak does not try to stand. Instead, he carefully weaves a spell while prone, and tries to reach out to more minds than he ever has before, with the very simple command to "Flee!"

The Water Prince continues to attack the gnoll, who is in far less good condition then he was a few moments ago. Akaash ran up to assist in taking down the gnoll, a hyena snapping at his heels as he does so and knocks the gnoll insensate as it slides down the rock. Goma tries and fials to hit a hyena, but the hyena attacking him had no more luck. While Alssariq drops the hyena that went after him earlier, the hyenas weren't after him.

Malak tried to cast a spell to get the hyenas off of him, but the beasts savaging him are a tad distracting, so he couldn't get it out correctly. The hyenas continue to attack the supine sage, dealing an additional 14 damage and worsing his bleeding to 3.

Khwaja Malak stands, taking a quick scan of the area, and asks that the gnoll caster be quickly brought to the ground (1 round). "He's still alive."

Prince Rafiq and any that assist him should be able to easily bear him to the ground where K-M can look at him (1 round passes). K-M can't stop the bleeding, so he looks to the others and says, get ready to deal with an enemy if he wakes (another round).

He lets another round pass by while his allies gather round, ready to blast the gnoll (or at least intimidate him) should it awake.

Khwaja Malak then casts cure on the gnoll.
    Spoiler
    Show
23 on Sidekick (SK on Discord) for K-M's initial Perception.
    Falied Heal check.

A total of four rounds pass before K-M applies the healing ...
He had to pay a point of inspiration for the Perform (oratory), and a spell point for the cure, which = (2d8+4)[8]

He'll then cast cure on himself (1 SP, see SK, 30 hps).

In the meantime, Prince Rafiq will be liberating the caster of any "unnecessary weight" (no, he isn't keeping anything for himself; no pvp-thiefness).

Sheathing his dagger with a dull 'thunk', Alssariq limps his way towards the gnoll. "Is there a reason you are healing this vulture? His life is worth more to the desert than it is to us."

After some mystical aid, the gnoll wakes. His eyes dart back in forth across the assempled party, looking for a quick way out. When one does not reveal itself, he begins cursing in Gnoll before switching to Common. "You may kill me, the the Carrion King will feast on your marrow. Do your worst!"

The gnoll seems too worked up about his leader to pay attention to the WaterPrince's request. "He is the greatest of gnolls, the Unmaker's Herald. HIs massive axe will cleave through all that oppose him. Soon he will gather all the tribes and crush all who stand in his way!"
    Spoiler: Kn: Religion DC 13

The Unmaker refers to Rovagug, one of the most ancient and evil of gods. He sought to destroy Golarion, but the other gods teamed up and defeating him, but not before many had perished. It is said that he now slumbers beneath the earth, waiting for his chance to get out and destroy the word once again.

To the gnoll he adds, "Tell us who serves the Carrion King at the House of the Beast. I don't care about the outlying tribes, just the names, numbers, and types at the king's fane, itself. Your ability to carry a message is in the balance."
