Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
To start off the festivities, Rowan makes sure to get within Malak's field and unleashed a blast of fire at the priest, who looks somewhat surprised; he was not expecting the fire to hurt that badly for whatever reason. As if waiting for him, Malak then surged Forward, firing his own blast at the preist, but not as accurately. Akaash lunges forward as far as he can to hit the priest, sliding into him to make his attack, though he quickly got to his feet without incident [[He was exactly 90 feet away, I counted about 8 times to be sure I could find a path that worked]]. Riq also darted forward, taking careful eye to scout the mages [[successfully]]. Goma also charged a mage and to similar success. As far as a first round goes, this went rather well.
As for the counterattack, the archers fired rapidly, though most thankfully missed. Akaash caught an arrow to the ribs and took 6 damage. Most of the mages missed as well, but the two who hit Goma struck true with their strongest blasts and did 18 and 15 points respectively! The priest, having the archer behind him to distract Akaash [[He has the Close Combat Specialist and Vigilant Sharpshooter talents]], slashes his across the neck and torso, doing an incredible 39 damage! While Akaash is not downed, his is very much in danger!
Spoiler: Perception DC 25 or Kn:Martial DC 15Those strikes did way more damage than they should have. Somehow he's sneak attacking like a rogue. How is this possible?

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
Akaash smashed the "priest" in the face, rocking him on his feet, but not enough to push him back. Rowan quickly teleported him to safety and Malak healed him up enough that he wasn't in imminent risk of death, though he's far from 100%. The Water Prince does his best to fake out an archer, but can't connect afterwards. Goma smashes a mage who blasted him last turn and drops him, healing himself in the process.
The archers failed to hit, as did most of the mages, though one managed to hit the Water Prince for 9. Alssariq charges in, ready to strike the enemy leader, What happened next was an incredibly rare event, something that rouges and anatomists had theorized was possible, but had never actually seen in practice: The Sneak Attack Cross-Counter. With an archer as back up, the priest bought his scimitar up as 'Riq brought his shortsword down, and the alternating blades slashed both men across the chest. While 'Riq probably did more damage overall, the priest hit an artery and has left him spurting blood, doing 22 damage and 2 bleed damage. The blood loss is also strangely draining; you get -2 to attack while this bleeding persists.

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
There was some progress on the assault: Between Malak and Akaash's attacks, two of the gnolls (one archer, one mage) fell. 'Riq missed his strike, though whether it was the blood loss making him a little lightheaded or Rowan's magic pulling him back too soon is hard to tell. Goma took a defensive stance and seeks to guard his teammates as the Water Prince does his best to keep his guard up.
The archers continue their barrage, narrowly missing the Water Prince but hitting Malak for 3, Goma's shield blocked a shot for Rowan, but his armor was unfortunately the perfect conduit for the two remaining mage's electrical blasts as he takes a total of 19 electrical damage. The priest vanishes, to where you do not know.

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
Akaash's second wall of air rand in the opposite direction to the first and the alternating winds did not treat the gnolls unfortunate to get stuck between them. The lucky ones got caught in one stream, their insensate bodies slammed into the opposing wall, but most were shredded by the katabatic winds One of the mages was somehow shot straight up, only to splat onto the ground a few seconds later. The archer on the far wall actually managed to jump off the wall to escape the incoming wind, but not far enough to get past the first wall and he was thrown about anyway.
The din of battle is now gone form this room, only the rustling of the wind remains here, but the fact of the matter is the gnoll priest (who you now suspect of being neither of those things) is still missing. What will you do?Avatar by Coronalwave
