With catlike tread, Alssariq moves slowly a step behind the Water Prince. Raising a hand, he circles it and points away from the stairs and further along this floor.

Moving as stealthily as you can (which is surprisingly well considering the armor), you get into position near the door to the west. You hear movement form the other side of the western door. Kicking it in, you see six gnolls facing the other door; clearly they were expecting you to come in this one* and were sure that you'd make a noise if you entered the back door. As it stands, only the closest two heard you coming from behind. Each of them throwing a javelin at the closest party member, but both missed.

Riq attempts to slam into the nearest gnoll, but it knocks him back, slamming it's greataxe's pummel into his side, crackking one of his ribs and dealing 7 damage! This staggered him a bit, but not enough to stop him from striking back when the gnoll tries to follow up on the hit. Rowan tried to blast the closest gnoll, but wrist was knocked aside by Akaash's air as he flies at one of the gnolls, knocking it down with a slam of air, it lying unmoving from the cold stone floor. Goma charged into one of the gnolls, knocking it back. and Rafiq flipped into the middle of the room, daring the gnolls to strike him.

And strike them he did, as a pair of gnolls rushed in, pulling of a classic Loch Lomand and they swept from opposite angles doing a devastating 24 damage! Another pair of gnolls tried the same to Goma, but was far less successful as the front one couldn't get around his tower shield, but did a less devastating 5 damage to him. The remaining gnolls slashed at 'Riq, but thankfully missed.

The map Do let me know if there's a problem, as I'm not fully used to this system.

Riq fought back against his assailant, stabbing both blows just beneath its breastplate. Akaash zips past one of the gnolls and slams the one flanking his ally with a blast of air that knocks it off its feet. Meanwhile, Rowan blasts the gnoll behind Rafiq with a gout of flame. And between Goma and the Water Prince, they fell one of the gnolls that attacked him earlier, incidentally healing the prince for 6 HP. Meanwhile, Malak moves in and sets up his serendipity

The now prone gnoll tries to stand, but it really shouldn't have bothered as it never got off the ground due to eating two max damage AoO's Akaash and Rafiq smack it down. The northernmost gnoll came around to strike the Water Prince, but missed due to too much lateral momentum. The westernmost decided to seek high ground as he runs to the stairs, taking out a potion and drinking it as he does. The only success the gnolls have this round is the one licked in combat with Riq, smashing his left thigh for 12 more damage.

    What next?

    Rowan

Rowan utilizes his new restorative magics to aid his allies. Goma's treatment is more of a re-invigoration than actual healing, but both Riq and the Prince require more intensive spells. Afterwards, Rowan will cast Haste on Goma and maintain it.

Will then top off Riq and the Prince with an invigorate (5 Temp HP that lasts for 1 hour cannot bring your hp over it's maximum)
After healing I will recast Haste to make sure Riq has those extra attacks on a full attack. Seems to go well with his combat style. on Goma.

The gnolls' weapons were of reasonably good make, but not particularly interesting (i.e., only masterwork). As for the potions (a grand total of 5 of them), they turn out being greater common cures (i.e., potions of cure moderate wounds)

As Goma heads to the stairs, Rafiq put his arm on his shoulder. He had spotted a trap in the stairs; each other step had been hollowed out and covered by a taut painted leather. He manages to disarm them and you recover the its gear.

Now that that's been dealt with, what's the plan?

Default Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo

Going as stealthy as possible (including Goma transforming into a panther), they head around to the back door, trying to be as stealthy as possible and opened the door, This proved to be a mistake, as a) there was a giant scorpion, and b) it knew you were coming (60 ft tremorsense is a bitch). It ran to the up and grabbed the leonine Goma and crushed it within its giant pincers, doing 15 damage!

Now is the time to strike!
