The drone does take evasive actions, but Kirk might also note that the laser beams that come close to hitting seem to be stopped by a shield. In fact, the drone does not seem interested in attacking them at the moment. It simply appear to be following their movements.
It does appear a bit different from when Electra first saw it, did those goons upgrade it or something?

Arkant is walking up the streets. He is looking for people. Mostly the poor once living on the streets. He has keept low for a while since the events around the sword, but now he should go and take advantage again. Every poor person living on the street draws his attention. There are two things he needs. First is their mind. Such people proofe to have informations they can't use. So Arkant has to pick those up from their minds. Second is their body. His experiments with infusing monster DNA into human have come to the point where he needs more human bodies.

He needs to be carefull after all. VIRGIL or the high people of Skyside should not take note of his experiments, yet.

Electra watches Kirk for a moment, before looking around a bit. This drone might be a decoy, after all, meant to focus their attention while an attack comes from another position. They are rather exposed here, after all.

Kirk stops shooting when it proves to be ineffective. He's got to conserve his power for when he really needs it. He'll watch the drone for now. If it just wants to watch them in return, it can do that. For now.

They eventually reach the ground without any trouble and the cars starts pouring out. The drone is already waiting for them though, hanging in the air as they are about to drive out.
But it is not the only thing waiting however, the can see Anika the falcon nearby, flying some distance above the drone.

They could simply drive away, but the drone is likely to follow them. Perhaps it is waiting for them to be alone?

Electra's irises glow once more as she tries to entangle with the drone once more. She's not trying to exert control over it this time, merely to co-opt its sensors to see what it's seeing. If it's there to observe, it's less of a threat than if it's actively targeting the car and just waiting for the collateral damage to be acceptable. KABAL might have a lot of territory in Skyside, but she's pretty sure they'll still get into major trouble for blowing up an elevator platform.

Kirk moves back to the car and opens the door. "Damn thing has some sort of shield. It's just staying on our asses right now. I have no clue what it's going to do once we start moving."

As Electra connects to the drone, she can get a glimpse of the drone's cameras being focused on them, there is something wrong though. The drone is clearly damage but is somehow fully functioning anyway. Things then take a turn for the worse as the very next moment, she might feel a presence akin to when Raril was sharing a body with her.
"Took you long enough." An all too familiar voice can be heard within her mind.
The demon, which apparently isn't limited to using dead bodies as hosts, then attempts to possess Electra through the connection she established with the drone, which is in its possession. She can it fight it off mentally, but it is attempting to make her drive away from the elevator.

The demon is going to have a hard time of it, for as soon as its essence seems to touch her own, it will find something is definitely wrong on its end as well. There is a barrier between the connection, and Electra's mind, as well as the controls for her body. Not just an electronic one, either, this one is both magical and an odd form of psychic. She has been preparing for an event such as this almost since the factory mission when she first discovered her technopathic abilities, researching its dangers and learning to mitigate them, then practicing those techniques and making those preparations. All of her technopathic connections now work through a dummy of sorts, a mental and spiritual firewall that's supposed to keep malevolent entities like this one from exerting any sort of control over her, a trick she learned from a neighbor of hers. The instant the demon tries to possess her, she becomes aware of it, and triggers a second defense: a small, silver magical amulet that she's been wearing under her armor that casts a protection spell on her that wards against evil. It may not work against this particular demon, but even so, this demon is going to have a hard time exerting any sort of control over her, as it will need to find a way past her barrier. She makes no reply to it, but leaves the connection open for some reason. Perhaps she's leaving it a way to retreat?

Kirk will probably notice that her entire body is now glowing softly blue, and she's oddly quiet, not even blinking. Something's definitely wrong.

Kirk stoops down and looks in the car when he realizes Electra isn't saying anything. "****." He tries shaking her shoulder, though he doubts it'll have an effect. He looks at the drone again and repeats his earlier curse. At the very least he'll give her a moment...

A person wearing a black trench coat, gas mask, and helmet is walking towards Arkant. It seems to be focused on him.

If Arkant is psychic, he will sense that the person is full of unbridled hatred, just in general, not toward anyone, and that it is itself psychic as well. If he is able to detect undead, extraplanar entities, or spirits, the person registers as one.

The demon is repelled and cast back into the drone from whence it came.
"Damn you, bitch!" It howls, though only Electra can hear it.

Kirk might note that the drones movements starts become rather erratic as it start to wobble in the air for some reason.
The falcon which is Anika takes this moment to swoop down towards the drone, yet she instead flies right into its force field. Ouch.

It looks like she is forcing her way through it though, but its slow process.
In mid-air, held by the force-field, she suddenly shifts into her humanoid form. Her teeth bared in a predatory grimace, she gestures with both arms pressed together at the drone, causing a bright flare of light to appear where here hands meet and shoot outwards towards the drone.
It is hit, and it appears like it actually catches fire, yet it shows no signs of actually slowing down.

Arkant is not a psychic, he is a mage with a specialisation in mindcontrolling/mindreading. That doesn't mean he can't do otherspells as well.
Arkant is trying to read the minds of everyone near him, it's a good protection for sure. If that goes he might read the focus on him. Without a move the orders his bodyguard to go between them.
The bodyguard will walk up from behind. He is a tanned person, maybe in his late fifties. He wears some causal street clothes and got a shotgun in his hands as well as a sword on his side. his expression isn't intimidating in any case. his shoulders hang down, his face looks like he is bored to the death and his whole body language says 'Let's make a break.'

They will go on and if the coated man still focus on arkant he will run into the bodyguard that stops him from getting closer. "Can I help you senior?" he will ask.

The mysterious person speaks to the bodyguard. "I wish to speak with your employer. Step aside." The voice is hoarse, and very quiet, as if the speaker's vocal cords have been seriously damaged. The figure fingers the old-fashioned pistol on its belt.

The guard makes no move.

"There is no point in letting a stranger close to him." he says. "Go call his office for a meeting. Senior"

The bodyguard will feel a crushing mental force assault his mind. It can't physically hurt him, nor can it take control of him, but it is quite frightening. Prolonged exposure may drive people insane, but this is not prolonged. If Arkant is still reading minds, the figure's mind is especially vulnerable now that it is attacking. "STEP ASIDE."

Electra cuts the connection as soon as the demon has returned to the drone, thankful her preparations were enough to keep the being at bay. She finally blinks, and looks to Kirk, before glancing up at the happenings in mid-air. She's more than a bit tired mentally, but now is not the time to rest.

"That drone is possessed by...something, a demon, I think," she says in an irritated tone of voice. "You have anything you can use against that sort of thing?"

A gunmetal grey spaceship descends from the sky. Blinking green lights dot its surface. A loudspeaker blares in mechanical voice. "Attention citizens! The R.E.A.C.H. corporation has discovered a dyson sphere in a nearby system. We are offering a modest sum to any who wish to join an expedition to the sphere, with the intent of retrieving the telemetry nodes of 18 R.E.A.C.H. Technologies probes that were lost within. All interested parties should apply at our office in the orbital drydocks.
Thank you for listening." The ship flies off.

Arkant never stops to attemp a mindreading, but people can resist it or have aprotection.
The bodyhuard appears to not react to the mental attack, this is because Arkant protects him while listening through his ears.
"State your business." the bodyguard say and sounds different. The words carry a slight spell that force you to follow them, unless you resist.

"I sense a kindred soul. One who glories in the suffering of others. Is this true?" The figure's stance relaxes. It knows it got Arkant's attention.

Arkant tilts his head slightly. He is not sure if this guy is mokking him or just be totally innocent.

"If that is the case, what is your business?" the bodyguard says. The mans expresion hasn't changed back so far.

"I seek worthy allies. Where can I find others with my views?" It seems to be completely earnest.

"Worthy allies?" the bodyguard asks. "What for? We don't know about your views so we can't help you. Try the local Organisations."

I must have been mistaken. "Thank you for your time, sir" The voice suggests a complete lack of thanks, but the figure moves on.

That really confuses Arkant. That guy never stated what he is about, just some riddle like answers. He can only imagine what this guy is up to. Maybe Arkant did his maskarade well enougth and drew attention of paladin like people who sacrefice themself for others. In that case he has to be more carefull from now on. To many stories turned out in a mess, if you try to use those 'good' guay for 'evil' work. Whatever good and evil mean in this case.

"If you don't want to answer my question, at least give me your name." the bodyguard tells the man befor he turns away.

The figure turns. "Dexter. Johnathan Dexter, the Right Hand of War. I think I was right about you. Take this, and go to these coordinates. We can speak freely there." The figure tosses something to Arkant, or the bodyguard if he's closer. It's an antique pistol. The pistol is semitransparent and glows faintly red. There's a set of coordinates engraved on the handle, they lead somewhere in Outside.

"Unfortunately, demon possessed robots are not something a guy expects to see on any given day." Kirk closes the car door. he rolls the window down and levels his gun on it. "Let's just drive for now. We're going to be alone with this thing one way or another." The other vehicles are wasting no time getting out of here, and they don't want to be caught on the elevator going back up.

Suddenly, Anika drops like a rock, one moment she looks like she is going to bite the drone and the next her eyes widen in shock as she finds herself falling.

The drone, which is still just pacing back and fourth, seem to have released the druid from its shield, or it has malfunctioned somehow considering it is on fire and all.
Either way, other parts of the drone certainly haven't malfunctioned. It fires what appears to be a blaster beam towards one of the front tires of the car. If the beam isn't stopped somehow, it will shoot a hole in the tire, deflating it.

"You savages are fighting my brother, so I suspect this won't go well for you." The car remarks.

"Dammit!" Is all Kirk will hear before Electra blurs, her door flying open as she rushes out and leaps, firing her EAS, aiming herself so she can catch Anika. Perhaps the druid doesn't need it, but the fact that she hasn't turned back into a bird might mean there's something else wrong. Unfortunately, that also means that anything she could have done to prevent the drone from popping the car's tire goes undone, so unless Kirk manages something, the blaster bolt probably does its work.
