Arkant is silent for a moment taking the informations in. It's not wise to test the sword on Nai #17. He should win, but his work on taking Skyside needs time to prepare and his enemies should not be scared for now.

"Thank you." Arkant replies polite. "I guess I keep it. There will be a time to use it"

It would look rather suspicious for them to stroll past and stop only a block or two away, after all.

The falcon does not pay them much heed for now, instead it focuses on the people suddenly leaving the office.
Its a group of one human, a gnoll and two goblins in KABAL colors that are leaving the compound. They are well-armed and the gnoll is carrying a red delivery bag on his back.
They are moving out, going towards a nearby parked truck. Looks like there is a delivery being carried out.

Electra's face goes slack for a moment, though she keeps walking. She'd entangled with the camera to make sure they'd been out of its field of vision, but kept the feed minimized in a small corner of her HUD in case someone decided to come after them. Now she sees the group moving towards the truck carrying a delivery bag. She blinks once and looks to Kirk.

"There's a team leaving the office now. Looks like they might be taking a delivery somewhere. Should we try and follow them?"
Why is it Plan A is always, "Get 'Em!" and Plan B is, "Cause as much collateral damage as possible"?

Kirk looks back at the group. Now that's interesting, but they can't do anything here. "Hard to follow them as we are now. Not when they're driving. Have a way to track that thing by any chance?"

The KABAL goons starts climbing into the truck, the gnoll with the carriage bag getting in the back with two of the goblins while the human takes the driver seat. They seem to have some trouble with starting the car though.

Above the falcon is keeping an close eye on the whole thing. Almost time...

They can see two cars near the office, one is a house car and the other one a fancy sport car. However, considering Skyside is a lawless city, who leaves their car around unprotected?

The KABAL crew still seem to have some trouble starting the car, but finally the ignition seem to work and the car gets to life. They will need to slowly get out from their parking spot though...

A tall broad man in a black suit and dark glasses makes his way from the Cloudtops down to the slave market putting out these flyers. He walks lightly, barely making a sound. These flyers are a sharp reminder of how miserable the city is. In other places and times he would go to great lengths to do away with slavers. But here, in this unchanging hellhole, what can be done? The only other option is to pass up a bargain. And he can always use more raw materials.
In the slave shops he keeps an eye out for anything unusual: either in the environment or on display for sale.

    ((No worries. It happens.))

"Then what word would you use?" Leonard's not brought the subject up with an angel before. So he's curious. "Why? It's less dangerous than defending, and not as much effort as corrupting." This has really baffled him. It's a bit like asking an angel not to interfere before an endangered innocent.

    Street of Slavers

There's three main slave-markets affiliated with the Slaver's Guild organising the sale. And I forgot to include the Slaver's Guild on the leaflet. Anyway, those shops are called GIRLS, selling young female humanoids, MALE, for young male humanoids, and EXOTICS, which sells everything else, with larger cages, smaller ones, and magically reinforced ones.

The most unusual fare in GIRLS are a seventeen-year-old human girl wearing a magic-damping collar, a pale-skinned eyeless grimlock girl, and a pair of nineteen-equivalent grey-skinned half-drow elf twins. The most unusual in MALE are a young minotaur and a half-giant that only just fits in his cage. All the slaves are wearing very little, regardless of gender.

As for EXOTIC, well. Everything there is unusual, and the store is split into two areas- one for human and smaller-sized individuals, and one for those that are larger, with a specialist set of tanks for any aquatic species that they may obtain. The tanks are currently empty. In the human-sized half, there's a normal-looking woman in her late twenties, a lanky grey-skinned shapeshifter trapped in its natural form by its enchanted collar, a tiny leprechaun, an androgynous half-demon elf, a hagraven and six harpies- one of which is male. There's also five faeries trapped in small birdcages on the desk. In the larger area there's a pair of ogres, three female centaurs and a male, a green-skinned lanky troll and a blue-skinned cloud giant with a massive beard.

Best take the markets one at a time.
Half-elves may be rarer than actual elves, but that doesn't make them interesting to this customer.
The grimlock is striking to see, but he considers eyelessness a solved problem, and grimlocks never amounted to much as a society; what could there be to learn from her?
The one in a magic-damper, though, that could be anything. He goes to inquire with the salesperson, "Just what can she do without the collar on?"

Misunderstanding, there. They aren't half-elves. Well, they are, but the other half is drow. They're half surface-elf, half underground-elf. No human mixed in.

The salesperson is a young blond man with blue eyes, wearing a name tag labelled 'Jasper'. "Um, let's see. Cage twelve-r, notes... Ah, yes. Got spirit-calling written down for her. Says she can summon ghosts, awaken inanimate objects with minor sentience and allow herself to be possessed by ghosts to take advantage of their skills, memories and abilities. Possibly other things, too. We only know what the seller told us, and that's not always accurate. Our own staff-mage has Delved her, and she's definitely got activated magic. We check everyone, especially if we're told they have received magical training. It makes them more expensive, and we don't want to be deceived in this way." The girl in question is slim, quite dark-skinned, with green eyes and dark brown hair hanging just past her ears.

Oh, that's considerably more conspicuous. But our customer is still going to skip them. Half-elf/half-elf is sadly less useful to him than pure drow would be, and he doesn't value novelty for novelty alone.
He leans in next to the cage. "Girl, where did your magic come from?" He watches her closely for signs of lying, suspecting that she'll just say what she guesses he wants to hear. If she responds at all.

"Grandma started teaching me when I was fourteen. She told me I had the 'gift' already, and she'd help me hone it. She died before I was born, but she said she stayed behind to watch her daughter, and me when she realised I could see her even when she was hiding." The girl is telling the truth, although she sometimes wonders if the ghost which taught her is in fact her grandmother, since she only has the ghost's word as evidence and claiming to be family is a good way to gain trust.

"That's half price because of Thanksmas, so that's [bargain]. And here's the key to her collar, if you wish to remove it." He unlocks the cage with a fob after he's been paid, and ensured that it's real money. Or at least, really good fake money he can pass on to someone else. The girl steps out of the cage and into a large, warm cloak and a pair of cheap, slip-on shoes, as it's winter and they don't want buyers complaining about hypothermia or frostbite. "Thank you, sir. My name is Rahilda."

The customer hands over the bargain price in entirely real money.
He repeats the name to fix it in memory. "Rahilda. 'Sir' will do for addressing me. Come along, don't do anything stupid, and tell me about your grandmother's ghost. I'll have more questions later, but that will do for a start."
There are two other markets to visit, after all.

Although upon visiting MALE he'll just comment that he's "-disappointed in their poor selection." and move on without buying anything.

"Grandma's old. She's a skilled spirit-caller, though. Taught me how to let myself possessed, and then demonstrated the other bits with my body doing it, so I could see exactly what to do. I think she's nearby. She usually is. But, uh, the collar stops me from seeing or hearing her." The Second Sight is part of her gift, the only bit that didn't need training to use properly. In MALE, Rahilda glances around at the nearly-nude men, and blushes slightly. She sticks quite close to Sir, though. She considers running, but with the collar on, she can't use her magic- well, she could let herself get possessed by a ghost, but without knowing what's nearby, that would be a bad idea. And she can't call a ghost that fits her needs to possess her. So she doesn't want to run until she's either got the key, or no longer has the collar. Either way, that's not now.

The proprietor of MALE, a purple-furred feline Zygerrian, frowns at the man's disdain, though the selection is pretty wide if you're looking for young and strong, or young and attractive, just not if you want unusual.

"Good. I had thought she might have stayed with your mother." The key is currently in Sir's inside shirt pocket, on the left.

EXOTIC he finds is more suitable to what he's looking for. As expected, thought it never hurts to look around.
In the human-sized half, there's something that seems out of place. A shapeshifter, a half-demon, and various winged folk. The leprechaun is too small, but makes sense. But an apparently normal human woman?
He approaches that cage and asks "And what exactly makes you Exotic?"
If the proprietor would like to answer that question, just fine.

The normal looking woman, who is trying to put on a brave face despite the imposing man examining her in her lack of proper dress, refuses to answer. Her blond hair is slightly curly, though its length is determined by how the shopkeeper lets their captives' hair grow. She's really rather unremarkable in size, figure, or stature.

    Street of Slavers- EXOTIC

The proprietor is an unusual individual himself, half-drow and half-orc, with a lantern jaw, thick white hair, tusks and dark grey skin. "She's a therianthrope, or some such. Werebear? No, I sold him. Um... Something big. Hold up, it's written somewhere here..." He starts to rummage through the paperwork under his desk. It's not nicely ordered, because he doesn't usually have this trouble. Most things are what they look like.

The woman would have been completely shaved, had she arrived with lice or fleas. If not, her hair would have been left alone. The slavers keep their stock healthy, but don't do much beyond the minimum necessary to keep them that way. There's more done here, because the slaves are more unusual and stay for longer. And because it's harder to sell them for meat, which can happen to the unlucky in GIRLS and MALE.

"And she's here in the human-sized cages? I would like to see the transformation before purchase, if at all possible."
While the slave-seller rummages through paperwork, the customer's eyes flick to other cages, and he walks along, examining the various harpies more closely. If they're too much like birds, that's not useful. If they're too human, that's not sufficiently novel.

"Her human form fits in a human-sized cage. The other form... Won't. She's a were-dinosaur. Allosaurus, says here. I've got a cage she can fit in out the back, if you want to see." Though he keeps a bottle of moonlight in the shop's safe to force such alterations, if necessary.

The harpies are six-limbed monsters with bird-like talons on their hands and feet. A pair of large wings fold over their backs like cloaks, and their bodies are covered in feathers. Their faces, lower arms and lower legs are featherless, as are their chests. Two of the harpies have the glossy black feathers of crows and grey eyes, one has a vulture's thick ruff of feathers at the neck, a wrinkly bald head and dusty black feathers, another has large, yellow eyes, snowy white feathers and one has yellow eyes, with an osprey's white and brown plumage. The last is the male, with brown-banded white feathers and a peregrine's piercing glare. He's one of the smallest, smaller than all the others bar only a crow-harpy, who appears to be the youngest, in her mid-teens. The others range from approximately eighteen to mid twenties, with the exception of the vulture harpy. That one looks older, due only to the wrinkled and featherless skin of her head.

"Thank you. We'll see. I'd like to keep looking around first."
He looks over the harpies, admiring. Six limbs, and the fact that they're all apparently showing the features of different birds (except the two crows). This is an excellent find.
"What can you tell me about these?" Sir asks of the salesman, gesturing at the bird-monsters.

The lycanthrope lets out a breath once the man turns away, happy to not be paid attention to again.
The two tiny harpies huddle in the back, still not sure if they want to be taken away from here or not. The older crow, vain as she is, has no problems flaunting her shiny plumage, even if waving her wings exposes her barely-covered flesh.
The other three do things determined by Earl as I can't handle seven NPCs at once.

[Sorry Boss, but as always, I get the last word.]
