    Default Elemental Adept: Necrotic

Would allowing Elemental Adept for Necrotic (or Radiant) Damage be too powerful, or is this just another example of WotC writing rules to fluff instead of actual balance?

    Thoughts?

Why would you need it for radiant, almost nothing in the game is resistant in the first place.
Necrotic gets resisted more, but it also is plain immune more too.

I would allow it sure, I kind of doubt many people would take it.

Force is also not on it, but only like 1 thing is resistant to force.

The dice reroll is not really worth it.

WotC don't have a ****ing clue about balance. Ref lore mage even conceptually. What matters as a player in a game is that every one is on the same power gradient, and confortable with it. If you give elemental adept necrotic, give someone the ability to try it out. Say you're keeping an eye out on the balance, and with either track back, or give other players the chance to upgrade it.

IMHO, it makes a characters shtick no become irrelevant when they encounter a certain threat. If they've gone for Necrotic, they're using a stat up on using something so that their specific shtick isn't irrelevant without diluting their character. A sorcerer doesn't need fireball if they're cold themed that way.

Heaven forbid they actually take theming into consideration when designing mechanics for their roleplaying game.
