"A present? I had thought they were only for the children. And I am... not normally a recipient of gifts." Iamar sighs. Maybe people had a point when they said she wasn't fun.

"Ah. Boyfriends are a lot of work." Well other people in general really. Caring for anyone is a lot of effort. But it fits the Thanksmas spirit. Speaking of which, she can hear Santa's call even from way over here.

"Oh that's right. I still need to visit Santa and get my Thanksmas gift. Have you gotten yours yet?" Ilpholin hopes she hasn't missed the chance to sit in Wenomir's lap.

"Not yet." Tori says and points a thumb at Raril. "Uncle was hungry."

Raril just grins wolfishly. "Why don't we go that way together?"

[Reinholdt]

Ilpholin shakes her head in mock disapproval. "If you eat too much, you'll be spending the first half of next year trying to lose the weight." Even Ilpholin concerns herself with that on occasion. Usually on occasions.

"I like your plan," Ilpholin gives a sage nod. "Let's go." Turning, she leads the way to Santa's Throne.

[Snowball Fight]

The little goblins open with a chaotic barrage of snowballs, whatever plans and tactics they may have made gone when they start throwing. The sudden appearance of a red-headed girl sows some confusion, and some of the goblins decide to throw snowballs at her on general principle. Brinika peers at her between the snow battlements.

"Do you know her?" she asks Cheasadh. "She kind of looks like someone I've seen around GLoG, but way smaller. Maybe it's her daughter."

Yipe!

Li'l Fel gets whapped by a couple a snowballs and falls on her butt.

But she takes the opportunity of having her arms closer to the ground to start returning fire.

The cat noses out a couple of bones, one to her wolf Lupita and one to Faye, and then goes off to enjoy her present.

Under the Tree

At some point later, someone might find a slightly intoxicated feline under the tree, sipping from a saucer of booze.

"I thought so as well, but evidently there are no age, size or social standing restrictions," Fayyaad says. "Last time I got a present, it was a flying carpet. Which is more practical than it sounds."

Alni, she mentally cursed, that name sounded so familiar, yet she couldn't place it. Ah, no matter gotta stick to the part.
"Alni, that's a very beautiful name. But tell me then, Alni. What can Grandlady Winter give you for thankmas? She have a very heavy bag, so she would very much enjoy giving away some of her loot to the old and young of this world."

Alni focuses on the bag of presents.
"Can I have a helicopter?"

[Concourse]

Lost? Mist? Never. In fact, Mist was standing behind Leah this whole time!
Totally. She clearly just didn't look down for such a small animal.
But then he is himself again.
"Alright Leah, where to next?"

Oh, there he is. And just as quickly, too big to easily pick up and carry around.
"Let's just go see some of the lights."
And not run into any more time-travelers.

A helicopter? Sounded like some goblin machinery, not exactly her strong suit.
She glances at the sack.
But perhaps the magic sack knew better than her? "Of course you can, Alni, let just Grandlady pull it out..." She grabs the sack to pull it closer as she reaches deeply inside with her other hand.

She felt something... wooden?

What she pulls out is a small toy helicopter, a wooden one with a particular magic to it hidden to those who only look at it. "Ah, is it this helocopter you wanted?" She does notice that there are others wanting to get presents so she should probably hurry this along.

[Recaiden]

"I think so! Thanks, Mrs. Winter!"
Alni immediately takes the toy helicopter and sets the rotors spinning with her fingers. And, unless the magic interrupts her, heads off while waving it through the air. Maybe a little childish, but what are the holidays for?

"I don't think so. Do we need another team-mate?" Cheasadh looks at Felandria, sitting out in the open whilst all the others are hunkered down behind snow-walls and barricades. She'd throw a ball at her, simply for being an easy target, if it weren't for the possibility she's a future ally throwing balls at their mutual enemies behind the other two walls. Instead, she'll try to arc one so it lands behind the wall.

Pookie, on the other hand, doesn't think all the things Cheasadh does. He just thinks 'that girl is in the middle of everyone, throwing balls willy-nilly and with no cover'. Which means the Teddiursa will throw a ball at Felandria, trying to time it so it hits as she's looking away from him. Deniability is always an asset, in Pookie's mind.

"Well, I certainly have no need for a flying carpet, I walk everywhere I go. But..." Iamar thinks. Sure, she didn't need any gifts, but maybe she'd be able to get a little piece of home. "Perhaps there is something I could ask for."

Anika smiles widely. "It was my pleasure, Alni! Go and play with your toy with Grandlady Winter's blessing now and may you have a merry thankmas!" Then off she goes! Perfect start!

Now let's see who was next today...

Raril runs a hand over his stomach. It wasn't quite the washboard he had in his younger days, but it wasn't pudgy either. He frowns a little, thinking he needed to train a bit more, now. Plus he still hadn't had anything to eat yet. The drow sighs, giving up and following the girls to Santa's throne.

She looks around and reassesses her plan, which is to say she runs panicked towards Cheasadh's fort.

"Then let's wait our turn and find out," Fayyaad says. He and Iamar will take their place in the queue, presumably.

[Snowball Fight]

"Uh, hi!" Brinika says, once Felandria arrives at their fort. The other goblins look a little confused, but then their attention is diverted by the other two teams. "I didn't know there'd be more people joining. The teams are- uh-oh."

It appears one of the other teams has sent four little goblin boys with a massive snowball they intend to throw directly at their fort's wall.

"That... Doesn't look good. Pookie, you up to distract them?" The little bear nods and ducks out from the side of their barricade, before plopping down in front of the approaching boys and starting to cry, sat firmly in their path where, if they throw the ball, he'll inevitably get buried in snow. Whilst his Fake Tears hopefully distract them, Cheasadh's also sneaking out from the side of their fort, to reach a position from which she can hurl a ball into somebody's armpit, because hopefully they'll then drop the ball.

Iamar nods and takes her spot next to Fayyaad. She had to admit this whole thing felt a little silly to her. But she had been in the Nexus for a few years now, she should at least try to learn what everyone considered a festival.

Wenomir gets off the throne, letting Koshal, Xun, Faye and Lupita enjoy their gifts. Some of Lupita's siblings and cousins are hanging around, eager to play.

Li'l Fel almost goes running to comfort the sad bear, but remembers the talk of distraction, so instead she follows Cheasadh's lead.

"Perfect timing." Ilpholin says as the trio get to Anika just as Alni leaves. "Go ahead first Tori. Get something good and don't accept anything less." Ilpholin urges Tori forwards. That way there can be an alternating pattern of presents received.

For expediency's sake, Fayyaad and Iamar arrive when Felandria Claus is occupying the chair. The tiefling motions for Iamar to move forward.

"Guests should get their presents first."

[Snowball Fight]

As the four goblin boys slow down in face of a crying bear, one of them is hit with a snowball. He eeps and drops the massive pile of snow, causing the other ones to lose their grip as well, sending the whole thing tumbling over them and to the ground.

If any of the boys try to pick up or salvage the ball, Cheasadh will throw her own snowballs at them, trying to force them back into cover. She's being mean, a little, and aiming for the edges of clothing, trying to get cold and wet underneath their clothes. That should point out just how bad an idea being exposed is.

Pookie, meanwhile, hops up and stops crying, and gives the four boys a grin before darting back behind the wall and into cover. Cheasadh won't join him until the boys are running off.

"That seems a good idea." Jack will attempt to loop her arm around Jaxl's and head off to the booths. Jack's still a little wobbly, as she's wearing high heels for the first time and still isn't used to them. She's also not feeling particularly cold; yes, it's chilly, but they're indoors and most of the snow is fake, but she spends a lot of her time on rooftops, where there's lots of wind and far less insulation.

Jack won't resist and let her loop her arm around him. He ill try to grab her on the shoulder when her movement is a bit wobbly.
"Wow, be carefull."
As they pass by Santas Chai he goes a bit slower.
"You wanna sit on an old mans lap?" he says with a big smile while still going on.

When she wobbles and Jaxl catches her, she smiles at him quite warmly. "Thank you. I'm not used to wearing these bloody things." Referring to her high heels, hence the wobbling. She's still wobbling a little, but she's leaning on Jaxl to help steady herself.

"Currently, I think it's a woman. Not an old man. Anyway, I don't really know what to ask for. Maybe later. How about you, anything you really want?" She smiles again, and is happy to move past if Jaxl is, or stop and watch a moment if he isn't.

[Santa's Throne] - Iamar and Fayyaad

Well, Anika didn't recognize either of these people, so maybe she wasn't going crazy.
She gets up from the throne and makes a bow, but as she raises to her full height again, she can't help but to notice the height difference between them. Anika just so happens to be 6'10".
"A guest enters our halls? Grandlady Winter you welcome, uh, little guest. What can I do for you?"

[Morty]

[Snowball Fight]

"Hahaha! Good job, you two!" Brinika squeaks as the assault on their wall is foiled. However, then she looks up, as a pudgy goblin boy is seen above the wall of one of the other forts. He's waving a scarf around, supported by two other goblins.

"When'd Brinika's fort get a new member?"

Santa's Throne - Iamar and Fayyaad

Iamar nods towards Fayyaad and steps forward, treating this much more formally than it should ever be.

For the record, Iamar is far shorter than Anika, or likely Fayyaad, standing at 4'9". But that certainly doesn't seem to bother her. She bows back to Anika, a short gesture more fit for a soldier. "My greetings to you as well.
I suppose I am here to ask for an oud. It is a stringed instrument from my home."

Santa's Throne - Iamar and Fayyaad

"An oud? Those lute-things?" She asks. "I think I know what you mean, I saw some humans play those back in Gadgetzan-" And here she went, naming things no one knew about. "But, ah, let's see what Grandlady Winter have in her sack..." She kneels down before the large thankmas sack and pulls out a finely crafted black oud. "Is this what you're looking for, young lady?"

Santa's Throne - Iamar and Fayyaad

"More that a lute is like an oud," Iamar says, but she hopes she doesn't have to elaborate - she only knew a little of how the lute was created. She listens to Anika's ramblings, but she tunes out after about three terms that she couldn't understand. But when the oud is produced from that endless sack, she... well, she doesn't smile, but her always-present scowl disappears while she examines the instrument.

"Yes, it's perfect." If allowed, Iamar takes the oud into her hands, handling it as though it would poof into dust at any moment. "My thanks, er- Grandlady Winter."
