I don't get what this is about? If it's about being killed off in a novel, then people have very different ideas about it. I certainly wouldn't waste a good death on somebody I disliked, and would be overjoyed if somebody I know decided to kill me off in a story. But I really can't tell.
I prefer science fiction to fantasy, and generally play in the former genre. Due to this, I generally expect the laws of physics to apply to games, and work from that perspective.

It's about people who would have reason to suspect a real-life mortal grudge, or be horrified in retrospect about their interactions with the writer. Most often both.

Rowling once said that Gilderoy Lockheart was based on a particularly arrogant person she knows.

She told him she based a character on him, and the real Lockheart assumed it was Dumbledore.

Anyone who knew Rohl Dahl as an adult should be on the list as well. Dude wrote some...weird...stuff when he wasn't aiming for a child audience.

The pancakes are also laced with blowfish poison so the party would have to get an antitoxin before they could eat the ones which weren't pulverized by shoes."

I don't think anyone would want those pancakes even if you paid them to eat them.

J M Barrie was another one people should have been worried about. Im not certain how accurate the rumors are about the peter pan author, but he may have had some questionable tastes.

Gillian Flynn spends far too much time thinking about killing or ruining her husbands life to be comfortable. The moment Gone Girl came out I would have been looking for exits.
Now if everyone could please "Sig" something along the lines of "Gosh 2D8HP, you are so very correct (and also good looking)", I think that would be good progress.

Most of the time, people don't care about writers or how successful you are, they never admit defeat and will always find someone who is better than you.

James Joyce roped his poor wife into his fart fetish according to a bunch of very embarrassing (and absurdly lewd; some seriously NSFW words behind the link) letters between them so I guess anyone who has a bum and farts should be scared of him?

If George R.R. Martin and real-life biographical details are to steal the thread, we can't neglect Stan Lee. Huffington isn't sure he was sincere in this letter, but I think he was: he's since done a lot of (blood-curdling) work in all three of the motifs which he praised here.

LOL I have several friends who are best sellers and they regularly kill off their fans and friends. I know one who posts on his facebook page quite often looking for red shirt volunteers. I have been killed off in current star wars cannon and as a standard Joe in another book by the above writer. Its fun to be mentioned in literature even if you do get off'd.
