It's real good for XP and focus, but it's really unstable. I.E. if the host leaves or crashes, it boots out all the other players, who receive no rewards/XP/focus at all. So, not worth it atm.

Has anyone tried out Khora yet? I wasn't well sold on the idea of another Warframe whose powers are just "hit with a stick" and "hold them in place while you hit them with other sticks", but I would be a liar if I said that I wasn't entertained by the idea of her having a summonable pet, too.

Also if someone could please sell me a Kronen Prime blade I would be very grateful, as I'm quickly tiring of the idiots in the chat who, having read that I want just a blade, try to offer me a full set or a handle....

I haven't tried Khora yet as I'm still trying to farm up her pieces.

With regard to the Kronen Prime blade, I was in the exact same situation as you, so can I suggest using Warframe.market? I put up a buy order for 55p there and got contacted by a seller within about a week - generally if you put up a sensible buy order, you'll get interest from people looking to make a quick sale.

Yeah, I've been using warframe.market to buy up Tigris Prime sets in preparation for the impending vaulting. 2-3 months after vaulting you won't find it for as cheap as it's been, although I'm planning on sitting on it for a year post-vault.

Trade chat is a cesspool of scammers and idiots.

I've been trying to get that last Harrow part, so some thoughts on what would probably be the best setup for Defection:

2 Trinity, 2 Ember. Trinity's there to spam EV and throw Blessing around, while Ember is there to WoF the area near the escortees. Because after round 4 there's 2 groups running at once, you want to split up in pairs of 1 Trinity and 1 Ember. But either Trinity or Oberon is a necessity when doing Defection missions - if you are soloing it with anything else, you are wrong.

Which gets really frustrating around escort #7 and 8 because you start not being able to kill the Ancients fast enough, since your best bet early on is the Ignis Wraith.

I might try to run it with my Astilla, just to see if that works better on escort 7-8.

EDIT: The Astilla works better damage-wise, but you need to reload it more often for roughly the same TTK in rescues 1-6. It's also terrible against the Manics, and I recommend having a hitscan sidearm for those - I find my AkStiletto Prime works well.

During the event, the long run compositions involve Limbo banishing the defectors as you simply don't have the damage/time to deal with the Infested and a Trinity/Oberon to keep them alive.

If you're just going to rotation C every time, then all you need is decent AOE CC abilities (at a pinch, any syndicate primary/secondary will do the job) and team mates who know how to run Defection (not a given in my experience of public Sortie Defection).

Ember's not as effective anymore as you have to keep on toggling WoF to reset the range, which eats into her energy pool rapidly.
Repelling Bastille Vauban and range/duration Stomp Rhino will lock down an area long enough for defectors to get out. Slowva is useful as well, although she has to place her Molecular Primes well.

Trinity solves the energy problems, but yeah, Limbo would probably be better.

Unfortunately, you have to do Archwing Interception to proceed in his quest, so I don't have him.

I farmed Harrow before the Ember nerf; she's not nearly as good at escorting them now. However, Nyx should be able to get the job done; if the enemies are attacking each other they won't chase after the evacuees. Chaos also has the benefit of nullifying ancient healers (or you can mind control one to give the evacuees that damage reduction aura). And I always chuckle when eximus units start AOEing their buddies. If you have Assimilate, you can even ress while invincible.

As for weapons, Sancti Tigris will kill anything you point it at up to level 60+ with a single pull of the trigger even before putting forma into it. If you're worried about ammo, run with a Carrier.

    Heh.
I have never bothered farming Cetus Wisps, outside of a couple of runs. I realise that Warframe is primarily a grinding and farming game, but at least with farming, say, cryotic, I'm still playing the game while farming. Wisp farming (if you want to get decent amounts) requires you to dedicate time to do a specific activity, and do nothing else. And the best time to do it is at night, when I'd much rather be fighting Eidolons. I'm very grateful for the Plague Star events, as I probably wouldn't have got the 333 amp I'm using at the moment without it.

Of course, now you can buy wisps from the Quills. At 10k standing per wisp. Because that sounds like a fair exchange. /s (I mean I'm still going to do it, because it's the only sink there is for Quill Standing if you've bought everything else you want. It's just an appalling trade.)

Speaking of Eidolons, how is Eidolon hunting going for everybody? I've been pubbing the Teralyst for a while, and Tridolons just recently, and I've had surprisingly good experiences. More often than not, there'll be someone with a Lanka riven who can one or two shot the Eidolon joints and we can get a capture within 10 minutes or so. Though there have been a few times where I've been the one doing the most damage, which is always a sad sight to see

Also, how stable is Sanctuary Onslaught these days? I'd like to start farming Khora (because that's gonna take a while), and ESO seems to be a better option for levelling weapons/focus farming than Hydron, but I don't want to waste time on a mode that's still buggy.

I've got enough Brilliant Shards to unbind all the Waybounds and I have all the cosmetics I want, but other than that, I'm really not overly bothered with the Quills (I don't feel the need for Arcanes yet).

Fairly stable - I haven't had any issues since the latest hotfix, although everybody is still playing around the known bugs:

    • The primary issue is host migration causing loss of all rewards, so always stay in the same wave as the host (Player 1 on the squad menu). It's fine to leave earlier than the host (eg they go through the conduit to Wave 9 and you stay in wave 8 and extract when the conduit timer runs out), but things get a bit iffy if they extract and you're carrying on (I've had one ok host migration after the host aborted/crashed, but people are still reporting losses).
    • Occasionally you spawn into a pure white screen - activating spoiler mode usually fixes that.

Other than that, the vast majority of people are only staying until wave 8 (rotation C) and extracting as the increasing difficulty is not worth the poor rewards of the repeated rotation.

Khora parts only drops in regular SO, which I find a bit of a snoozefest, but it does take you to tiles you haven't seen in a while (eg the Void pyramid for those playing long enough, the gigantic Grineer assembly line), which helps keeps it fresh. The focus/affinity gain is mediocre, so if that's your goal, I advise moving onto Elite SO as soon as possible.

ESO requires a level 30 'frame, but it's better than Hydron for levelling weapons in terms of affinity gain and tile variety. It's not as good as stealth Adaro in terms of focus/minute, but it's more consistent, you can level up multiple weapons (including amps) and the radiant relics more than make up for the lack of credits and resources.
It's also a very good mode for improving your gameplay as even nuke frames will have to start practicing evasion on the higher waves (incorporating roll/side spring/backflip while on the ground and in the air to gain both the 75% DR and avoiding the knockdown from Arson Eximii for example).

Edit: Host migration is most definitely still an issue, although you don't lose the item, it just rerolls the last rotation. Which is a kicker if the last rotation was the Khora BP you've been looking for.

I haven't tried any Eidolon hunting. Gimmicky raid bosses aren't really my style and the rewards prior to arcanes being added weren't worth it. Since I've gone 500+ days without arcanes, their addition hasn't really changed that.

I was actually really lucky. The first time I played onslaught I got both Khora's chassis and neuroptics. I've gotten bupkis since then, but I've only done four or five more runs. No major issues except for once where enemies stopped spawning and I ran out of time/efficiency/whatever its called. That was before one of the big hotfixes.

A couple things from my own play over the last week or so: Without even really trying, I managed to get all but one part for tiberon prime. The Quartakk is surprisingly good. It's been sitting complete in my forge since it came out, and I finally took it for a spin. I've already put one forma on it, but 2-3 more will make it insane. It feels like it fulfills a similar role as the latron variants and the new veldt, but outclasses both of them.

My brother and I have been doing derelict runs attempting to get corrupted mods. It is pretty hit or miss, as there are plenty of times we don't have the right key on hand, but there are a couple times where we can't find the door at all. Also, we've gotten Tainted Mag three times...

The test for mastery rank 17 is really killing me. Ostensibly it's not that hard, but I've failed like 5 times now because the orb you have to hit spawns on the other side of the map on the upper level and you usually have less than ten seconds to reach it and hit it. I keep messing up on the ramps to traverse to the upper level. Anyone else have problems with this test?

Thanks, those are excellent things to know! I've encountered enough weird bugs that I typically leave endless missions when the hosts leaves anyway.

Yeah, I was only planning on doing the regular one until I had all the Khora parts anyway. Is finishing regular SO to wave 8 solo doable?

As far as I can recall, I just brought pre-nerf Ember, toggled on WoF and concentrated on hitting the orbs. Equinox would also work if you want to cheese it.

So I've finally felt like picking up some of the grindy PITA frames, and I have to say I totally underestimated how awesome Nidus would be. With his 3 self-buff and Growing Power equipped, his 1 was hitting for 20K before I was done leveling him. It's pretty much everything I like most about my favorite frame, Inaros, but on a squishy caster... and of course, Nidus isn't squishy at all. Well, his sound effects are...

The Quartakk quickly became one of my favorite weapons, and I'm sad it's not more popular. Because if it was popular, we'd be more likely to get the Quartakk Wraith I want!

As for Corrupted mods, always always bring enough people to have one of each key. You'll find the door faster, and you're certain to have the key you need instead of the whole run being a waste. I was once lucky enough to find a vault group on the LFM channel that ran nonstop for two hours, so I might never have to worry about Corrupted mods again. ...And after all that time in the Derelict, I still didn't have 10 Kavat DNA.

On tough Mastery tests, the question I've learned to ask is "How can I cheat this objective?" I'm told that for 17, flying straight to the melee targets with Titania and letting your damage aura handle the enemies breaks the system nicely.

As Neovid said, always try and run Vaults in a full team. Exterminate missions are ideal since you can look through the map as you head towards the next group of enemies, but Captures are even quicker once you get a feel for where Vault doors can spawn.

I can't remember what the MR17 test is off the top of my head, but you are aware that you can practice them in Simaris' room in the relay?

Edit: I did the MR 17 test with an Ember WoF build, ignoring all the enemies and heading straight for the time orbs. As long as you can keep the time going, your kill counter will go up slowly, so it's not as difficult as you think.
Any frame with AoE damage should be able to do it, so Maim Equinox and Banshee with the Quake augment are two other possible 'frames.

Wraith's mentioned the other approach is with a fast frame and kill bad guys as you head towards the orbs, so Nezha, Volt and Loki, a long reach weapon (whip, guandao, etc) and spin to win (remembering to go after the orbs first).

If you're really good with them, Wormhole Nova and Zephyr will give you the mobility to get around quick enough. Or just use Titania and fly to them.

Hmmm, I wonder if Excalibur's Exalted Blade counts as a melee attack for the purposes of destroying the time orbs...

Just about, but it's not the difficulty that's the issue, it's that barely enough enemies spawn to keep your efficiency up.

Ah, right. I guess I'll try it and see how it goes. I imagine there'll be plenty of people farming for Khora parts anyway.

Nidus was a surprise favourite of mine, too. When I was grinding high-level Survival missions for Octavia, I was having all sorts of problems making it beyond 30 minutes, let alone the necessary 40 and I was recommended to try a Power Damage/Range build with Nidus.

I was highly dubious at first - I typically focus on being good with the guns, and any problem that can't be solved by a Vaykor Hek gets treated to a Kulstar - but a few minutes in I was converted. The ability to fill a room with pain and to just "not die" is amazingly useful

If I remember right, I did that one with Loki. Take a gun with decent accuracy at range (Soma Prime, in my case) and then getting +Range onto your Decoy and Teleport abilities slashes the amount of time that you're running around like a manic and hopping up and down the levels. I suppose that Ash could work in a similar way, though it isn't very Energy efficient.

Alternatively, +Power Duration and Effect on Volt and get good at taking corners at ridiculously high speeds.

Fatal Teleport makes Ash very energy efficient. Dagger with Covert Lethality, build him for range, and pop over to whomever is closest to the orb.

Another option is to use Valkyr; her 1 is pretty great for mobility. Bullet jump straight up, Rip Line over to where the orb is. An AOE weapon like Ignis, Lenz, or a shotgun with a big spread will make short work of the enemies you have to kill.

As for SO, I have yet to acquire any Khora pieces. I've been playing with Saryn and Trinity; Trinity kind of annoys me because she has to be on the ground to cast Energy Vampire and Link.

I think that test was where I fell in love with the Atterax (long critty whip). I suspect I was Zephyr, but the frame didn't much matter.

My strategy, like most of the above, was just to go from orb to orb, and let the enemy-killing take care of itself.

That's actually an integral part of her balance - if they let her properly parkour while casting Link and EV you would see a Trinity in nearly every squad because of how her 2 breaks Warframe.

You're welcome to drop a line to Union J. I'm the only active member, but pretty much to only thing I don't have researched is the Hema because 5,000 mutagen samples is ridiculous.

Other than in some endless missions and relic cracking, I mostly play solo or with my brother. We were mostly there for cat scans and decided to bring keys with us since it's a relatively easy area.

I did not know that. I think I've been in Simaris' room maybe twice before. I did finally pass the test, mostly by bringing corinth and using its grenades to take out groups as they chased me from orb to orb. I also found it helpful to position myself on the ramps before the next orb spawned so I could change level easily.

Also managed to grab the last part I needed for tiberon prime. I haven't played around with it much, but so far it seems pretty good.

The Tiberon Prime is a really nice weapon and can be built for crit, status or hybrid.

I especially like the Alt-fire selection of firing modes to suit the task in hand. Need to snipe - semi-auto; skirmishing and need a bit more oomph - burst; need to kill every last mother[redacted] in the room - full auto.

It also sounds great - I have to resist the urge to go 'dakkadakkadakka' whenever I pick up the infinite magazine void fissure buff while hosing down everything in sight on full auto.

I love the infinite ammo buff. It's even more satisfying on my Twin Grakatas than it is on my Sancti Tigris. And I do like the Tiberon Prime. Latron is a pretty massive disappointment.

Very productive day of farming fissures. Finished collecting parts for Akstiletto, Oberon, and Zephyr. That will complete my collection of Prime frames (except Excalibur, which I'll never be able to get, though apparently he was still available to farm when I first started playing). At least until the next one is released. Not terribly excited about the next couple coming up, though; I'm not a Chroma fanboy and I absolutely despise Limbo. REALLY not looking forward to even more Limbos running around making everything immune to my attacks.

Excal was never farmable, he was a Founder reward, along with Skana and Lato prime.

Ah. I don't remember specifics. I just recall that it wasn't really rare when I first started playing. When I found out a little later that you had to farm up Primes in Void missions (oh, how times have changed), I just assumed that it came from the same source (and never cared enough to research, apparently). Which I was in no way ready for, since there weren't any useful guides at the time so I was fumbling my way through trying to figure stuff out.

Argh, we're getting Chroma Prime right after I used a Reactor on my Chroma? Dammit. And still no sign of the prime frames I'd like most, Inaros Prime and Atlas Prime. Welp, at least I'm not doing something really frustrating, like hoping for the global release of Excalibur Umbra.

I'm salivating over the thought of Inaros Prime.

(not sure if I'm missing some sarcasm, but in case I'm not...)
I believe it's certain we'll be seeing Excalibur Umbra with the release of The Sacrifice quest, which is the third main story quest after The Second Dream and The War Within. It'll be launching sometime in the next few months, before the new open world area on Venus.
