Until the 9th movie comes out and they know what story arc they're working with? And then a little bit of prep time after that. I thought that was in one of the news blurbs above the commentary, but it looks like they moved it...

That's how long the whole interlude is gonna take. I'm specifically talking about this bit.

I suspect that in another 4 week we'll finish with this episode. As for what's next? Luke might split off on his own, and go after ... Homer Simpson?

I did always wonder about that name. My guess is some other aliens had already established trade with the Wookies and Kashyyyk, in their language, meant something like third-planet-from-the-local-sun. Either that or someone invented a phonetic system for Wookie using letters already in use ("k" represents "grr!" "K" represents "GRRR!!!"). So, people who don't get out the "what this letter means in Wookie" guide just try to say it with the sounds those letters mean in their language.

Of course, no one's proven anyone in the Star Wars galaxy can read (I thought that would change when they brought up the Jedi books in the last movie, but Luke hadn't read them. It's not clear if he didn't or couldn't. Yoda probably could, since he said page-turners they were not, but kids who can't read often try to cover by saying they didn't read something because it was boring. Maybe 900 year old Jedi do the same thing.

Um, there are lots of written letters in Star Wars? They even have a name for it, because of course they do. Its just paper, specifically, that doesn't show up.

At minimum, we know Luke can read, because in ESB Artoo communicated with him via text on the X-wings console. And he was basically a farming peasant on a backwater planet, so not someone likely to have gotten formally educated in any way.

There was a book from 2015, "Luke Skywalker Can't Read: And Other Geeky Truths," although the author recently did a follow up article, "How 'The Last Jedi' Books Changed Star Wars Forever: Maybe Luke Skywalker Can Read." Haven't read the book but the article argues Luke is functionally illiterate, literate enough to handle quick messages from R2 but not literate enough to have ever read a book. Not going to argue for or against it today, but it's an interesting premise I've seen debated elsewhere.

Eh, I like to think other forumites see the single E version and think, "whuh oh, the Peelee's a-comin'!", and I'd hate to let them down. Sigging it just doesn't give that same effect, ya know? I have a very rich fantasy world in my head that is very me-centric.

Plus, I choose to believe my campaign will make the single E version will eventually look just plain weird to other people like it does to me.

The trandoshan were from the same system as the wwokkiies in Legends right? If that wasn’t changed by Life Debt or something I think we can still call it true.

In Solo, Han gets ‘‘Chewbacca’’ from ‘‘GRRAAAOUUR’’ so something like that, probably.

According to the wiki, it looks to still be Canon, as there were two episodes of The Clone Wars that took place there. (I did not actually know/recall that Trandosha was in the Kashyyyyk system, despite owning the original book where the planet was first detailed.)

There's a fatal flaw in your argument, though: it requires recalling the existence of the ISD-wreck that was Solo.

So, is Mark Luke's clone? Or just someone who mysteriously resembles Luke? His cousin from Scotland or something like that.

Clone for sure, but it would be a funny twist if he was actually his long lost brother separated at birth and given to the kaminos for safe keeping. They just told him he was a clone to keep him safe from Vader.

Is this new bit (#1772) from Pinocchio? I think that's one of Jiminy Cricket's songs.

    -- edited to avoid double-posting ---

I don't recognize the song from #1774, however.
