Ianben nods as his eyes scanned the shoreline, taking a moment to think. After a brief moment, his eyes returned to the little Orc.

"Well how about we start with your mom then. Where can we find her?"

The bag seems safe to Komarod, so he reaches right in to see what it contains.

Mikey discerns no particularly remarkable buildings but you do see the gnome and a young girl beginning to walk along the boardwalk towards the town. You also see something that defies logic:

Komarod, you pull a large keg from the bag, sloshing full of liquid. The bag is only about 6 inchs in any dimension, this shouldn't be possible.

Lanben, as you follow the young orc girl she babbles on and on about how her house looks, talking about how her mother really likes "adult grape juice" as well as how the barkeep has a group of people who have fallen out of the sky put up in the local tavern.

Ianben nods as the girl talks, trying to listen and take mental notes about the town as they pass through to wherever the mother is.

He notices the “shorty” guy working his way through a ridiculously delicious-looking bratwurst has and tries to avoid making eye contact, looking the other direction.

As they march through the town, Ianben will ask the girl, ”What about your dad? Is he around?”

Mikey ignores the gnome andthe youg girl and goes a difference direction.

Trying to ignore the impossibility on the beach - [such things can only brings trouble!] - Wren starts after the retreating man, who is now eating a large sausage of some sort, dodging around anyone who gets in his way. "Hey!" Panting, he catches up to the mysterious man. "Wren," he mutters. "Um, Wren Alderson." He tentatively extends a hand. After quickly checking to see that no one is listening, he leans in, pressing his face close to that of the other man. "What do you know about that... Sky-Tear. This town. Whatever brought us here." Wren's eyes narrow in suspicion. "You certainly seem to know your way around."

Ianben stops and looks around. His face slowly burns, turning a bright red hue.

As his face brightens, his head shakes violently and his eyes give a heated glare to the little Orcish girl.

”I... can’t... wait anymore!”

Ianben unsheaths his sword and whirls it around furiously. In one fluid motion, he propels the blade over his head and slices it down cleanly across his neck, decapitating himself.

His head rolls and stops at the feet of the Orcish girl, now giving her a cold dead stare.

you all hear a high pitched scream, dragonborn soldiers pushing anyone in the way aside as they rush towards the body. People are instinctively moving away. "Grab that child! She saw what happened!" calls out an older distinguished looking soldier orders.

"What the **** was that?"

Seeing the horrific suicide, Komarod drops the keg and takes a few steps back.

{Ogk, that's awful! What was wrong with him?} Komarod thinks to himself.

{Is it the environment? Do I have any self-harming desires? ... No. I think I'm all right. It must have just been him.}

{I don't know what exactly is the deal with this bag, but I better stash it while everyone is distracted.}

Komarod stashes his new magic bag.

The soldiers escort the small crying girl away and cover the body, conducting a brief interview with everyone nearby as one of them goes to alert the local police.

Mikey you realize somebody was trying to talk to you before all this happened.

"Hey you three!" calls out a large dragonborn soldier. "You fell from the sky tear, yeah?"

"Yeah, what's it to you?"

Wren turns to face the guard, sizing the ugly bugger up. "Yes, sir," he mumbles, lowering the hood of his cloak. [It always paid to be humble around guards - make a wrong move, get too cocky, and you'd be lucky to spend the night in a cell.] "Wren Alderson."

The gaurd snarls to himself at receiving three different answers before responding: "if he was with you then it might have been head damage from the fall. Go to the tavern in town if ya want to get a check up, olivia set up a charity there for 'fallers'. Or don't, just thought I'd say something." he hooks his thumb towards town before returning to the crime scene as local police begin to show up.

[Nion]

{Hmm, I'd better figure out where I am. Maybe I can find a map in town to figure out how far from home I am.}

Komarod says nothing back to the guard, and heads toward the town.

[Sticking with other 'fallers' seems like a wise plan. Safety in numbers.]

Wren follows the mysterious half-orc, back hunched to avoid drawing attention.

after some wandering you all find your way to a building with the sign "The Tavern in Town" wood burnt into it. Apparently, the soldier had been talking about a very specific place.

Walking in, there's a number of people; an aasimar cleric is making soup, and in that general area you see about 20 people with arms in slings, bandaged heads, and a single unfortunate man in a full body cast, suspended from scaffolding attached to a wheelchair, a straw in his mouth. At the center there are the usual fare of bar goers, several off duty soldiers, a pair of dwarves exchanging bawdy tales, and in a far corner past all the tables sets there is a gaunt faced, sunken eyed human(?) with a perplexed expression fiddling with a strange guitar made of bones.

This sight is quite strange to Komarod. He almost starts to yell out asking for where he can acquire a map, but he stops himself, remembering that he does not want to draw attention to himself before he is ready to instill the fear of his name before the locals.

He walks over to the bar and inquires of the bartender.

"Ahm.. Where can I get a map? I need to see one that covers a large area."

The bartender reaches under the counter and pulls one out. "Figured what with all the lost folks around i oughtta stock up. Supply and demand and all that. It'll be 5 silver, or i can give you a bundle of the lamenated ones for a single gold. You one of them?" he points to the group of injured and mildly unharmed surrounding the cleric woman. "Weird, that. In all my years never heard of the sky ripping itself open and dropping people before now. Makes ya wonder dont it? Good for business though."

Wren enters the tavern, leaving sandy footprints. After a brief glance around the busy common room, he approaches the gaunt human and leans against the wall, eyeing their strange guitar. [This character, however sinister, seems sensible enough - Wren had never been one for crowds, a sentiment this person seemed to share.] "You fell out of the sky, to?" he mutters, watching to make sure no one is listening in.

"No, just trying to ply the bar with my music. I know some healing songs that will go over well with the crowd of adventurers. That is, if i can get this stupid thing tuned properly." he grumbled, plucking a string and humming. A barely perceptible dissonance was present, the instrument was slightly flat. The gaunt bard audibly growled at the defiant refusal of the tool to hold the proper note. "Gods damn it . It needs new strings..." he sighed, his anger melting into a resigned, sullen sulk. "I'm sorry, i've been wrestling with this thing so long it's made me forget my manners; my name is Chorrus Meltoalto, Im a bard, amongst other things." he stands quickly in order to deliver a flourished bow, before plopping down again. "May i know your name?"

"I'll just get the one map. ... Here's 5 silver.

Komarod pays the bartender and opens his new map.

"Where are we on this map?"

He tries to discern where he is compared to Mudagog, his home town, and the cave he was living in for the last 10 years.

[Edit: What is the scale of the map? does it cover the whole continent?]

The map illustrates each continent and marks the major towns as well as important landmarks and roads, as well as a small circle with a crude drawing of the continents on it representing global position. You know that mudagog was somewhere nere the foothills of a small mountain range on the continent of drayomund, one of the largest continents. Known for it's large post empire human and elven population. Gix Caex, the continent that is where you figure you must be based off multiple mentions of the cindercone mountains, general climate and dense population of dragonborn and tieflings, is on the opposite hemisphere of the planet, which is devided by the Eisengertle, or ice belt.

The bartender nods and hands you a map for 5 silver pieces, stopping briefly to size you up. "You the sneaky type?" he asks suspiciously.

Relieved that he is still on the same planet, Komarod gives a short sigh, and closes his map.

"It seems I've come from the Northern half of our planet. What's the best way to get back there?"

The bartender nods and hands you a map for 5 silver pieces, stopping briefly to size you up. "You the sneaky type?" he asks suspiciously.

"Sneaky and jerky. Here's one gold pieces. Hey can you tell me what planet is this? Because it's sounds like a few people around isn't being cooperating?"

Mikey give one gold piece to the man.
