Rich could obviously choose to handwave Belkar having more statistical Wisdom...but I doubt he will. I expect Belkar's story arc and his life will end without him ever casting a spell that isn't part of a joke.

How to turn off these annoying .sigs:

    1. Edit your profile options.
    2. Scroll down to "Visible Post Elements".
    3. Uncheck "Show Signatures".
    4. Save changes.
    5. Enjoy a much less cluttered and noisy forum.

Which makes it one remark in an out-of-character, fourth wall-breaking text only available in a book, as opposed to... consistent portrayal of there being no players or GM.

I'm also surprised no one has made a "I'm not convinced he's ever stopped" joke yet.

Other than that, you haven't missed anything. I suspect he rages without any visible physical signs, and correspondingly that he rages often, whenever a battle is or seems likely to be tough.
He said "Halfling rage att–" before being held 869.

Check this game out! Or at least give it a thumbs up.
Why "because the plot said so" is not a good answer.

Belkar got angry when Buggy Lou threatened Mr. Scruffy in #685 and when a soldier taunted him about his relationship with Mr. Scruffy in #781. He might have raged off-panel at those times.

Marinade. Because Buggy Lou was going to marinate Scruffy before eating him.

Remember that the warrior from the Thieves Guild was criticized for saying "Power Attack" because that's only for mages and manga. Belkar probably just doesn't say it.

What was that dude's name? He was my favorite character from that arc.

But on the main topic, Bellar does appear to always rage. He isn't a calm, collected sort of killer.

Roy is a fighter who gives orders to a thief.

Yor is a fighter who takes orders from a thief.

Just another one of Rich's jokes.
