Honestly though the Falcon was tracked in both A New Hope and in Empire Strikes Back. The only movies the ship wasn't tracked in were movies where it wasn't trying to avoid being tracked.

He tracked them immediately. The people who literally control the galaxy and have space wizard powers, with a full military fleet, could not accomplish this task.

He also herded Luke towards Vader's trap, without damaging Luke. So he delivered all the protagonists directly to Vader, with minimal effort.

So, it could have easily been you.
I think that's also part of why many people liked him. He was badass and because of undetermined outlook one could easily identify with him.

He was the go to for non-force user play acting in my friend group growing up. Hell we had more arguments over who got to be Fett than anyone else (although Vader was a close second).

I'll honestly be disappointed if Solo isn't a heist movie. Most well know SW smuggler as the hero, seems a waste not to use him in a heist setting. And really SW needs more styles of movies added in, we've seen how well sticking to "The Formula" is going...

Also the reveal of Lando was brilliant. I didn't realize I was hoping he was going to be in the movie till they revealed him in the trailer. And seeing Donald Glover as Lando has me wanting a Lando spinoff, if done right would be a lot of fun.

One of the things that has me concerned for the movie is that I'm already more enthused by Lando than the main protagonist. Donald Glover just is too natural a Lando, whereas Han didn't feel like Han.
