New DM Here, Hello! roseheart version
Howdy! I love forum games.
They are so intimate, so much potential for improvisation and course correction.
I am actually looking to bring a crossforum here over from Bay 12 Games, but need a little help. Couple questions:
How to a move a thread?
How do I change my avatar?
When it says a thread will expire after 3 months or 1 year, does that mean "of inactivity" or cold turkey?
Giant in the Playground was recommended to me by Freeformschooler. Hi.Last edited by roseheart; 2018-02-15 at 04:59 PM.

Welcome to the forum!
Threads can only be moved by the mods. You can ask them to move something by flagging the OP in a thread using the little red triangle in the bottom-left of the post.
Click on 'settings' on the top right. Then 'general settings' under My Settings in the box in the middle of the page. Avatar options are at the bottom: you can choose either no avatar, one of the default ones, or a custom avatar from an external URL.
Many people on here have custom avatars in the OotS style; you can find artists willing to draw you one in Arts and Crafts.
I believe that means if no one posts to a thread for X amount of time, it vanishes. For PbP games, IC threads don't expire, but OOC threads do. Personally, I use Wayback Machine to record old OOC threads.
It should be noted that the thread necromancy rules have a much shorter cut off than the auto-deletion process. If you want to continue a dead thread, even if it hasn't technically expired, you should start a new one and call it '<threadname> 2' (as in that art thread I linked, which is currently on iteration 14). You also have to start new threads when an old thread is 'full', which means over 1,471 posts. Per the rules, threads aren't supposed to go over 1,500 posts.Lydia Seaspray by Oneris!

Great help. How to I send someone a PM. Do I need to earn that priviledge too?
Right now I need to move this thread to ooc.

Re: New DM Here, Hello! roseheart version
If you may post links I'm sure you may PM, if yours and the recipients "mailbox's" aren't full (a hundred PM's).
How you do it differs depending on if you're in "Mobile" or "Full Site".
If you see a link to the comic on the left of the screen then you're in "Full Site"
