When do mods act?
If the thread JeenLeen posted about here http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...ge-amp-Flaming is full of people breaking the rules, as confirmed by a mod, why has no action been taken with it?
Does there need to be some minimum number of reports for mods to take a look at a thread?
Does a mod just need to get around to looking at the thread?
Do the mods let people get away with breaking the rules unless it has becomes especially something? Especially disruptive? Especially egregious? Especially _?
Do we just not like some posters, so flaming them is fair game?It always amazes me how often people on forums would rather accuse you of misreading their posts with malice than re-explain their ideas with clarity.

Re: When do mods act?
Sheriff: If a post strikes you as against the Forum Rules, please report it and go on about your business. Doing anything else, like engaging the poster, quoting them, posting here, PMing mods, making a separate thread about it, just makes more work for the mods to do.
Sometimes we see things differently than you do. Sometimes things get pushed down the priority list by other things. And admittedly, sometimes things slip through the cracks.
All you can do is report the post and move on.
