    In the prolonged scuffle Anai manages to scoop up one of the dolls (the slightly cracked one), which makes extremely angry noises as it pounds at her fingers.

    Realizing that her fingers were in danger, Anai shakes the doll like a salt shaker, causing it's limbs to flail uselessly and not hit anything. Meanwhile, both Boru and Victoria manage to connect with it, but are perhaps overly cautious of hitting Anai and the doll seems unfazed.

    Meanwhile, the second doll tries to get up behind Anai to take down the terror holding his compatriot hostage, but with Anai's violent movements makes a slight miscalculation and ends up getting stepped on, breaking one of his arms off. Angrily, it punches Anai's ankle for 1 point of damage.

    Anai slews curses streaming across ancient and modern Osirion as well as a few Orcish ones as she hobbled on one foot whiles straining to keep the one in her hand contained. As Vic snatched up the remaining one Anai whirls around throwing her weight ontop of the small doll to force it against the table, pinning its limbs in the process.

    In a word, all hell broke loose after Anai stepped on one of the dolls. As she hopped around the room the doll in her hands wound up flung back onto the table, knocking over a few of the other inanimate dolls. Victoria dashes over to grab it, and partly by luck, partly by the fact that it was jumping at her face, manages to determine which of the dolls is the angry one. Even after being caught it tries to beat it's way out of her fingers though:

    Another nat 1? Seriously?

    The first of it's poundings jams into Victoria's fist; not onto her hand, but literally into the fist were it becomes stuck. The dolls other arm doesn't make any headway either.

    For the duration of this grapple, the doll may only make use of one of it's slam attacks; kind of a partial pin.

    Meanwhile, Ilepy makes a dive for the now one armed doll that caused the uproar, managing to snag it but not without a struggle

    Anai regained her footing, repositing herself so she stood opposite Boru with Vic and the squirming doll between them. As Boru jabbed at the doll in Illepy's hands, Anai brought the full force of her frustration down on the one in Vic's.

    Almost simultaneously, Anai and Boru knock the heads off the two dolls as Victoria and Ilepy hold them still. Instantly the bodies go limp, and while they're a little hesitant to let the go after going through so much trouble to get them, when they open their hands they drop limply to the floor.

    EVERYONE lets out a huge sigh of relief as tensed muscles relax and bruises start to throb. By the flickering torchlight you can see the rewards of your efforts: Ilepy gently lifts a khopesh from the wall and finds it to be perfectly balanced, obviously of masterwork quality. As the others look around the walls, Boru notes that the spear also appears to be very well made, it's wooden handle having stood the test of time (also masterwork). The last weapon on the wall looks like a weirdly crooked piece of wood, but after looking at it for a minute and noticing some notches in the top and bottom you realize that it's a composite short bow (+1 Str) who's string has disintegrated over the eons. It looks like it'll still work if restrung.

    The back wall holds 3 shields: The rightmost shield appears to be an unremarkable light wooden shield identical to the one carried by the soldiers in the diorama, only it is emblazoned with ancient Osirian Hieroglyphs spelling out "Akhentepi", denoting a soldier under Akhentepi's command. The leftmost shield is also a light wooden shield but has a completely different design (DC 12 K. Geography to identify where it's from). The center shield is a light steel shield in the design of a scarab. It's identical to the one carried by Akhentepi in the various depictions you've seen of him in his tomb.

    5 boxes sealed with wax lie around the room, no other locking mechanism for them is apparent. A thin blade should be sufficient to open them. Finally, an urn on the table is also sealed with wax.

    Combat is over, 300 XP gained, and TREASURE!

    Anai calmly refixed her tunic. As they went about to examine the contents of the room, she took the scarab shield from its mount, slinging it over her shoulder. Just for now. The Ministry will get it once we have finished plumbing the depths. She told herself. She began the process of moving the urns and the remaining weapons into the adjacent room, alongside the chariot there. Last, she placed the chest down opting to pry it open with her crowbar. The urn's likely contain a type of ointment. Not much use in prying them open right now. This chest likely contains personal records though.

    Vic throws the remains of the doll she was holding into the corner of the room and gives it a cold glare.

    She brightens up when she goes to inspect the shields on the wall. "This one looks a lot like the shields used in the Mwangi Expanse."

    Victoria helps Anai gather the objects in the room and relocate them near the chariot.

    Everyone helps haul the chests and other treasures to the room with the chariot; it seems like a decent place to keep things while the rest of the tomb is explored. Ilepy grabs the masterwork Khopesh and Anai the scarab shield. You also find 100 gold scarabs and 42 silver pieces in one of the chests.

    Does anyone take the Mwk Spear, bow, or any of the other stuff?

    Victoria heals everyone from their injuries by 5 points, and Anai updates her map (posted on discord).

    The rest of the tomb awaits you.

    Now that the path had been fully explored, Anai led the group back into the sarcophagi room, past the sarcophagi and into the room just past it.

    The treasures gathered, the group heads back deeper into the tomb and back into the room with the thought to be false sarcophagus. Edging around the formerly shocking platform, you head to the back (north) doors and Anai tries to push through, but without success. No matter, you're experienced door buster now! She pulls out the crowbar, and despite first her own and then a combined effort of pulling on it, the doors refuse to budge. At all.

    Some sort of mechanism seems to be keeping these doors stubbornly locked. Everyone searches for a keyhole, but there's none to be found. It's Ilepy who points out a slight discoloration around the door; a clear sign of moisture; but that get's the group no closer to opening the door. It does jog Anai's memory though, and she recalls that some tombs are designed to flood in order to kill intruders. Boru backs a few feet away from the door. "Maybe we shouldn't be opening it then?"

    Suddenly, there's a crashing noise behind you, causing everyone to jump in surprise. At first nothing looks out of place, but then you realize that the gold plated sarcophagus is inexplicably a few feet closer than it was when you last looked. You look at each other, then back at the sarcophagus.

    It doesn't move.

    Anai stood tense as Illepy and Vic examined the sarcophagus, clenching and unclenching her fists in anticipation. As Illepy explained the magick's involved, Anai's breath caught for just a moment. Forcefully, she exhaled. Her left hand gripped the symbol of Anubis slung from her neck as the right drew her falchion from its sheath on her back. Lord Anubis, grant me your insight to issue Judgement. She intoned, her voice starting out with a slight quaver but growing in strength and conviction. She held her falchion before her, grip tightening as her stance fell into a practiced form. She glanced at her allies as they made their own preparations. Ready?

    Boru readied himself, thrusting forward with his glaive. Once it struck, he swung it back around in a circular motion to dissuade further attack.

    Or at least that was the plan. On the return arc, the glaive slipped form his grasp, flew straight past the baddie and out the door, which then mechanically closed shut. It was some sick joke the universe was playing on him; as though he were the star of of mad comedy. Well, at least his shield arm was good and if that meant getting more up close than normal, so be it.

    The reason Boru's weapon had gone flying was the sudden activation of the Sarcophagus. With the screeching sound of metal on stone it flings itself upright, its door flinging itself open, knocking the glaive upwards. It flings itself forwards with billowy, shadowy limbs that don't seem quite all there, clamping at Ilepy!

    Just when it appears that it would swallow Ilepy whole, Boru shoulders her out of the way and get's partially eaten instead, the sharp edges of the sarcophagus door biting through with surprising force and leaving a large diagonal dent in his armor.
    Boru takes 3 points of damage and both he and the sarcophagus gain the grappled condition.

    Meanwhile, there's a sudden crash, then rapid clicking, and Anai feels something large and heavy slam into her from behind.

    Anai, make a DC 15 reflex save or fall prone one square away from the door, your choice which direction.

    There's a sound of rushing water behind you.

    Anai's flail glances off the side of the sarcophagus, scratching it but not appearing to do much damage. Victoria fires off a blast but is nearly tripped as she does by a sudden deluge of mud coming out from the doors behind her. The blast sails into the wall, causing a small cloud of dust and a white mark in the stone masonry.

    *the squares in front of the doors and the one's to the left and right are all now rough terrain*

    Ilepy runs up and tries to pry the Sarcophagus lid off of Boru, but it holds fast, until suddenly it opens up slightly, lunging even further forward:

    Boru is scooped up so forcefully he get's the wind knocked out of him and Ilepy nearly get's her fingers chopped off, but no actual damage is delivered. In the darkness of the violently shaking and jumping interior of the sarcophagus, Boru catches his breath even as he realizes that he's going to have a ton of bruises when he gets out of here. Already it's hot and stuffy inside.

    Boru has 2 Rounds worth of air.
