    Boru! No! Anai's voice was hoarse, dripping with concern and rising panic. Why did she insist on field work? Why did she ask her friends to join her. If he died it would be her fault... Let him go you glorified hunk of wood! Anai hopped to the side, taking up position opposite Illepy as she brought the flail crashing down with all her might.

    Ilepy and Anai's attacks knock the sarcophagus spinning. Almost inexplicably it let's go of Boru, who just barely manages to retain his footing as it hurl's itself at Anai, first trying to club her and then opening it's door to swallow her instead.
    Victoria reaches out to try to blast the lid off the thing, but it's mad spinning keeps her away.

    Anai ducks underneath the wildly spinning sarcophagus, only find herself staring into it as Boru jumps back in front of it. He had to make a wild dive to pull it off, resulting in his head being inside the thing (no worries you can still breathe), but he manages to keep it off Anai. His armor now has an x shaped dent in it. 3 points of damage for Boru!

    Meanwhile, the sound of rushing water rises to a defining roar as now clear water fills the entire room nearly a foot deep. Everywhere but the platform is now considered rough terrain, and anyone who stands/passes in directly in front of the doors must make a DC 12 Reflex Save or fall prone.

    Anai almost shouted as it spat out Boru, but had to duck around the wheeling coffin. As Boru shoved himself into its maw Anai couldn't help but feel even more guilty. Don't worry Boru! We'll get out of this... Her flail swung around once more.

    As the Sarcophagus clattered to the floor Anai ripped it's lid open and grabbing Boru. She roughly pulled him out of its confines, and in a hoarse whisper she said Sorry. As the water continued to rise, she wasted no more time. She grabbed the crowbar and jammed it into the door leading to the entrance. She strained, putting her full weight onto the door. Illepy! Help!

    As the water finally recedes and the sound of the bars freeing themselves, Anai breaths a sigh of relief. She was wet, tired and frazzled but she was alive. Everyone is alive. That... was intense. But...She couldn't help herself. That wasn't the true Sarcophagus! That must mean the true burial chamber is below us! Or perhaps past the hidden door. Eitherway! Let's explore the lower level first.

    Everyone valiantly struggled to open the doors but to no avail. The water continued to rise: 2ft, 3ft, 4ft, until finally the flow slowed, the water turned brown with mud, and stopped. Once too many time that day the group breathed a sigh of relief, but they weren't out of the water yet, literally or figuratively. The 3 girls investigated the flood gates, finding some metal bars and a bunch of sludge blocking a passage that sloped upwards. They did their best to bend apart the bars, but couldn't get them wide enough to pass through. Boru meanwhile searched the room for some way to drain it, eventually finding some sort of mechanism disguised as a torch holder but it didn't seem to have any effect.

    Eventually as the water continued to drain you realize that the trap is probably resetting, and sure enough as the last of the water drains away into little gaps around the platform and around the edges of the room the South and West doors unlock, while the Northern floodgates had closed a few minutes previously. Dripping wet and with a ruined pile of mummies and a destroyed false sarcophagus lying on the floor, you prepare to press on towards the final resting place of Akhentepi.

    After recovering his glaive, Boru smacks the now 'dead' sarcophagus with it; while it doesn't do much of anything, it does make him feel slightly better. His breath still heavy, he follows Anai forward.

    Though it was expected since you had heard the doors unlock, it was still a relief to find both the south and western doors openable, though the latter needed the help of a crowbar to get open due to there not being any handles. Once again your faced with the Pharasmin spiral on a set of double doors. Past those, the now nearly burnt out torch illuminates the pieces of the hidden lock to the left and the descending stair case to the right. After about another 20ft descent into the earth, you come upon yet another set of stone double doors. More nervous characters might be about ready to lose it if they see another set of these with horrible dangers behind it.

    Anai opens the left door.

    It stops at 90 degrees due to a wall. Before you is the largest room you've seen down here yet, besides the sarcophagus death trap room. It's 25x25ft, with crates and barrels and other assorted containers neatly stacked up around the room.

    It was obvious Anai was a little let down as the door revealed a less than impressive room. It looked like a storage room. Well... Either there's a secret passage in this room, or the one we... misapplied entry technique to up the staircase leads to the true burial chamber. Either way, we must fully examine this room. I see no reason the builders would cease to endanger grave robbers just because they avoided the false burial chamber above. Anai approached the first chest carefully, examining her steps and then the chest before approaching and then attempting to open it.

    Some silver-y stuff. Not sure what it is. A bit of onyx, a holy symbol of Pharasma. And Anai's voice dropped into a low, reverent tone. A door... She approached the door-shaped indent, feeling it gently with her fingers. With a practiced hand, she felt around, finding its grooves and nooks in search for its opening mechanism.

    As Anai feels the door, definitely finding groves, she also notices a suddenly glowing magical circle on the door. It glows a fluorescent green for just a moment, then vanishes. There's a rustling, rasping noise at your feet, and the floor begins to move. It turns brown, and there's a hum of thousands of thousands of flesh-eating cockroaches crawling at your feet starting to fly around you. For some reason though, they don't seem to be willing to get close to Anai...

    Boru looked in terror as the swarm of insects swarmed Anai. He made a split second decision and hoped it was the right one. "Stay back!", he said bringing his glaive parallel to the ground; he had to keep the rest of his party safe and hope that Anai can handle the bugs.

    Anai squealed, feet jumping to avoid the crawling critters. It took only a few moments to realize that despite she was the one to trigger the trap, they completely ignored her. What the... She took a hesitant step forward, and then another. As the mass of cockroaches made way for her, she had an idea. She pulled the golden scarab shield from her back and held it in front of her. Everyone just leave the room! I'll try to keep them contained in here. I think the shield's magic makes them avoid me. She reached the door, swinging the shield from side to side, hoping to prevent the mass of bugs from chasing her friends.

    "Fall back!" Boru shouted, pulling himself and Vic to safer ground. He had one anguished look at Anai surrounded by the things as he turned the corner, hopeful that she was right about the swarm because he was powerless to fix it. Sadness twisted his face, but he had a job to do, so he shepherded the rest of the party to safety.

    The torrent swirls past Anai even as everyone bolts for the stairs to escape the biting pests. Boru and Victoria try to make their way out of the swarm by bolting up the stairs, but the insects easily keep up their work of devouring their flesh. Ilepy also tries to steer clear, but had the disadvantage of starting in the back of the room and ends up getting munched as well.

    Damage vs Boru:

    Victoria gets the worst of it, the cockroaches easily chewing through her clothing and leaving it in tatters while Boru and Ilepy managed to shake most of them off. Just as things are starting to look dire, the hissing rustle of the cockroaches' wings starts to dissipate, and in a moment they've vanished.

    Boru slides against the wall, "I can't speak for the rest of you, but I'm pretty tired of this Ahnkentepi guy. It makes me sorry he's been dead for centuries, as I wish he was alive so I could deck the פסולת של בשר." The last bit faded of into Celestial, but judging from the rest of the sentence, you know it;s nothing kind. After taking a few moments to breathe, he checks on the rest and readies himself for whatever's in the next (and hopefully final) room.

    Though Victoria still had a lot of bites that were beginning to swell, the positive energy she channeled healed everyone else and patched her up pretty well too. After rummaging through the largely spoiled goods for another few minutes the party located a few more valuable items to take back to the surface, and it was time to open the hidden door that would presumably lead to Akhentepi's final resting place.

    Boru wedges his fingers into the crack just enough that he's able to open the door a crack, and Ilepy takes hold of the exposed edge and helps him open it fully. Before you a long narrow tunnel stretches into the darkness further than those without dark/lowlight vision can see. No doors or ornamentations line the walls, but at the end is a nondescript door with a handle.

    Hall is 5ft by 40ft
