Origin of PCs tiny part that I didn't get
On page 48, the host is shown stepping behind a curtain, then many scrolls are shown and he picks one and takes a bite. What are those scrolls and why does he bite one?

It's a reference to Iron Chef. The host always bites an apple in the beginning of the show.

The host of the original Japanese show actually took a bite out of a pepper. The apple is what the host of the new American version eats.
