For the record, Juno is referencing her father's klaive that was stolen when he was killed and she had her first change. She's seen it almost every day of her life so it would be immediately recognizable if she saw someone carrying it, and while the Pack obviously comes first if she finds a lead, she *will* be following it...at some point.

I wouldnít call it required reading. If you read through the Core WtF book pages 71-75 you are probably in good enough shape.

The concept of Spirits, The Shadow/Hisil, and Animism are pretty key to the Werewolf line though.

    Sorry for the double post.

@Daishain: I won't make you roll for anything at the moment, and the map is exactly as described. If there is something you want to try to glean out of the map, you may ask as a question, and I can explain, or if it is complex, have you roll for it.

Just looking for Bear to be able to say "Uhhuh, this route seems relatively clear, lets go that way" Or, "They certainly have this blocked off, I'm not seeing a safe road in." Or something else along those lines. I'm not looking for specific information.

It is clear from reviewing the map that most of the heavy pockets of Anshega and Plague Spirits are located inland. It looks like if the Band takes the freeway along the coast, and get off directly in New Bedford, they should meet little expected resistance.

What about the hotspots? Any pattern to them? How far apart are they? Are they in the city center or the outskirts? Where's the closest one to the warehouse? That seems the logical place to start.

There is a giant hot-spot around the mansion/compound that was owned by the Harbor Wolves near Dartmouth. Otherewise, the collections seem to be densest near Loci. No other pattern regarding outskirts, center ect. The closest to the Waterfront is all the way on the otherside of New Bedford (with the Waterfront and the warehouse being Southeast and Dartmouth essentially Northwest of New Bedford).

Cool got it. So if the rat spirits are left unchecked to gnaw through the Gauntlet, what's the ultimate result?

The Gauntlet weakens, so more spirits come in, specially plague spirits. Also, they believe they may finally unite into The Rat King.

They're not Spirits they're Hosts, made up of flesh and spirit, like the Uratha. Madmal's right. Powerful spirits leave the hisil (spirit world) to feed. It's part of the Forsaken's duty to keep them in the hisil. The narrower the gauntlet the easier it is to cross over. If the gauntlet actually breaks it rips a hole in reality in the hisil and the fleshy world, no one knows if it goes anywhere. The Rats believe if they do enough damage to the Gauntlet it'll destroy the worlds of flesh and spirit and rebirth their god/creator.

In short we don't stop the Rats the breaking gauntlet will do more damage to new bedford than a nuke, and leave a hole thousands of hungry soul eating demigods can pass through

Cahalith is Gibbous, no? That would mean Kara's Kuruth trigger is in play?

EDIT: If I understand correctly, with a Harmony of 7, it's a specific trigger. In this case, hearing a wolf howl during the Gibbous Moon will trigger Kuruth in Kara.

I am not ashamed to admit that I have a word document that I'm compiling that's full of what Mr.Google says is 'Millennial Slang'. I was born in the 80's, so I'm a bit out of touch with hipster vocab.

Um, if you were born in the 80's, you are a millennial. "Officially", that term, along with 'Gen Y', or 'Echo Boomers', includes people born in the 1977-1994 range.

At 17, Juno would be what's referred to as generation Z.

And don't worry, I'm technically a millennial myself, and I'm not in tune with that slang either.

Those are people born between 1977 and 1983. This is the tail end of gen X and the first few years of the millennials. They are people who are comfortable with technology and social media, but remember the pre digital world and things like phones that had a dial tone, beepers, paper maps, MTV, and fax machines.
