Battletech custom battle armor
I tried using the techmanual to make a set of battle armor using only inner sphere parts, this is what I came up with. Also I have no idea how to format this.
Inner sphere heavy humanoid battle armor.
300kg chassis
250kg +2 jump jet
200kg partial wing
0kg 2 armored gloves
30kg magnetic clamp
600kg 12 points mimetic armor
100kg 2 firedrake support needlers
Addendum: does anyone know how encumbering weapons affect battle armor? I was gonna give this suit the David Light Gauss Rifle (Support Weapon) so that it could function as a sniper.

Re: Battletech custom battle armor
Scout variant:
Take out 2 points of armor and jump jets.
Add mechanical jump boosters.
Max out ground MP.

Re: Battletech custom battle armor
Ah, Battletech. Which edition are you using?
I once designed a mech with only laser weapons which had an unfortunate tendency to overheat. Couldn't put enough heat sinks on it. Fortunately, it was only used on an ice world. Worked fine until it melted the ground and sank. General Kerenna never let me have access to the design computer after that...

I think I'm just using classic, is there a huge difference between editions?

Re: Battletech custom battle armor
I'm only aware of the version that was in circulation in the 1980's. My little brother has the books so I can't check copyright info. I assumed since this is over 30 years later that there was a new edition.
