Quick heads-up to Merc. Dergosh's problem with Ruk doesn't have any foundation right now. His hide action was retconned because the fairies arrived before his turn.

He positioned himself to flank because his movement wouldn't get him to the creature and then it died before his next turn.

Edit: my post may have been inaccurate. maybe I was behind a tent?

Yeah, as I mentioned in my post at the time, I couldn't zoom in on the map when I posted so I was going off your description, and I knew the wagon was in the exact opposite direction from the shamble. But based on the grid coordinates, Ruk was moving behind the tent. Quite different from running away.

In my very personal and subjective experience, a lot of handy magic items seem to require stuff from the arcane list more often than the divine. What I was trying to get at was that since you don't have an arcane caster in the vein of a mage or sorcerer in the party, it makes it more difficult to come up with arcane spells as prerequisites on the hop. Anyway...
    Okay, I get it now.
Also, if it wasn't clear, I was contemplating allowing all four types of monster anatomy usage in magic items, mostly because choices and options are a lot more fun than just shopping and formulae. Still happy to discuss.
Ah, I misinterpreted what you wrote then. Thanks for the clarifications!

I guess I'll make a Spot check for Gakan, too: (1d20+1)[9].
    +1 from her Wisdom modifier.

EDIT: Hahaha, what is the point of having eyes that never close, if they never see anything?

Maybe the other shield of faith potion and oil of magic weapon to Kuros as the frontliner? Not to mention having plenty of weapons to use the oil on.

Incidentally, I've decided I'll use those four methods of introducing monster parts into magic item creation. Not a lot of specifics yet, it's a work in progress, but I'm taking the concept across to the homebrew forum to see what they/I come up with over time.

Sure I can take a shield of faith potion and a Weapon Oil. Hard choice on which weapon to use it on though lol.

Speaking hypothetically, wouldn't it do best on your hammer? As a reach weapon, if something wants to close with you it's going to have to eat an AoO from that thing as it crosses into 5 foot range which would include the oil's bonuses, and you can always take a 5 foot step to whack the guy with it as well.

In other news, the exploration map has been updated with the new locations Perlivash has told you about. Hope that indicates the rough distances and whatnot.

No problems. Gave me a few days to work on the spell substitution system over in Homebrew Design. It's gotten a lot more involved and interesting, but it's also more satisfying, turning into its own little item creation "module", though I'm still not finished on it just yet.
