Which is one of the reasons this particular topic was created in the first place. The last one was loaded with people "discovering evidence" that had already been pointed out repeatedly.

Anyways, am I the only one who thinks the reason V only rooms with Haley is that she is the only one who knows V's gender in the first place. As far as I know, Haley has never indicated that she doesn't know, although that in itself is not evidence. But it could be that V is actively trying to keep others from knowing, even to the point of saying and doing things specifically to keep people wondering.

Somebody probably allready said this during the last 29 pages, but just in case:

According to quantum mechanics. Until you take a look and find out whether he/she is male or female, she is both.

The cat in the box is both death and alive until you open the box to see whether it is alive.

I do that all the time.

At any rate, while I'm not sure if this has been said, I would like to take the time to point out that V refers to him/herself as worshipping the elven god of secrets.

Btw, how did he/she get married, does this mean V wasn't always as secrative about his/her gender?

    P.S.
In my future posts I think I'll refer to V as she.

Edit: Well if she was like 70 years in magic training, everybody had a lot of time to find out what she really is, didn't they ;)

Actually, I don't think V cares orn even thinks about gender. (S)he may poiisbly not be aware that there is a difference, and that people are guessing.
Just look at how V raects to Rpy's gender change., (s)he doesn't even raelzie it. It is simply a non-issue with V, which means that even if we know the gender of V's mate we are unlikely to have any evidence of V's.
Gender issues of any nature don't exist in V's mind, at least that is the impression I got.

Or else the other elves don't care, either. As mentioned above, V certainly doesn't react to Roy's gender change... (As I consider this line of reasoning, I like these elves more and more. No gender issues of any kind...how much does that rock? Where can I get one?)

You forget the Female Spellcaster rule.

A female spellcaster must show either cleavage or her navel. Otherwise, she must wear an extremely tight robe.

I don't make the rules, I just observe them.

I do think V does seem to go out of zer way to avoid letting on about zer gender. I think the real question is not if ze is female/male, but why does ze try to hide zer gender?

BTW, the ze/zer is not a typo, it's a gender neutral pronoun that is not 'it'. I'm not pc, I don't use ze/zer for everyday conversation, but ze/zer fits V so well I had to use it.

While it isn't really an "argument" per se, I do have a bit of a question. Proportionally, how many people here identify V as the same gender as him/herself, and how many identify V as the opposite gender?

I, for one, have always considered V to be the opposite gender--male.

I always thought Roy refers to V as 'Dog' because'Its all you <Feminine version of Dog>' might annoy V. And when someone can cast fireball, you don't annoy them.

    a) There is a V's Gender Debate IV thread, and b) it was a subject of recent discussion whether that thread was still the live one, or whether a new one should be used.

Whichever thread is the current one, it isn't this one. :)

    - I have just started V's Gender Debate V. Go for it. ;)
