Yeah if you hit one of them they are going to know about it, but you gotta hit them first - and your AC is worse than theirs.

I don't think you can afford to stand and trade blows with them

On the other hand you both have lighter armour and higher base speed so using that to hit them hard and then get out might be viable, also bear in mind neither of the archers are going to be anygood at firing into melee

d6 Re: The test of your powers an endless guantlet

only 5e fixes the the 3e need for point blank, far, than precise feats unless some form of fighter. 5e you can just jump into precise and the other feats are still in the feats list, Allies are considered cover. 4e had some abilities that got around it, but for some reason if an ally was in the way it was treated as cover.

Honestly it should have been far to point to precise, but that is just personal taste and DM's call.
My range is +4, but into combat without precise is usually -4 and then -cover, so I will have to get better than at current calculations at 15?

I lack spring attack so thats not really an option or else id totally go for it( just in case i googled it..i can either move then attack ( ending my turn by them) or i can attack then move ( thus provoking an AOO))

Also as for the food issue..we can probly ask X to hunt for us or i can even do,it..its dc10 to move at half speed( overland speed which is in terms of miles a day) while foraging and for every 2 above 10 i beat the check by i find enough supplies to take care of another person and myself

Aka i get a 12 total that feeds me and robina..14 is me robina frederic ..and so on

And Jon that means you need to roll at least a 18 or higher for the most part to hit ( i thino cover adds+2 ?) if its higher you need a nat 20 ..

frown Re: The test of your powers an endless guantlet

ugh, hopefully we can play up to our strengths and just capture the LT and strike a big blow to the morale of the Alpha squads, so they tell us what is really going on.

**So there probably isn't any height or extreme advantages for having a good advantage point, like being able to fire from right on top of them?**

Besides being out of the melee I don't know why you'd need more advantages.. if the enemies want to reach you they'd have to climb to get to you.

IDK about spell list, but after that epic roll...you always know what happens.
I am thinking about rolling up a second character, because of that or adding a level in either fighter or making the level gestalt fighter//monk after thief 4th level, depending on the likely hood of survival.

I can't believe most of the websites that businesses want you to use to get hired are now MORE geared for you post about a job and when you look up a set job from your set home town, in a set business the websites want you to post the job, and not collect your resume. If these keeps up I am using 23 and me to prove "oppression", and going down the slippery slope of the gender-fluids, just so I can go full millennial and sue the pants of people that I even remotely think are making assumptions and triggering me. Either that or practicing my "thank you come again" accent.

I know job is at place, they want to hire to hire ex-navy for tax reasons, I know job place wants hires to use website, website wants you post job, so "not you" can have it... break out those old circle of life records boys!

Also if you haven't had a job by now, keep a small $20 extra from the top of any and all paychecks from has young as your first birthday card to current age now and tell NO one you have it.

Post Re: The test of your powers an endless guantlet

I would like to keep the cork on this bottle as long as possible, my spot is good for me, the main force is in front and so is the attention of the LT and lackeys, hopefully it will be time for some lumps on these guys.

I am "fine" for now and stated my plans and escape path, plus if I am not responding in a timely fashion I have already given the okay to use my character has fitting. Even if Jon goes, I could just "pile the bards" as needed. Still:
    Spoiler: reach has needed

    Endorphinsend@yahoo.com

I can't think of anything further that can delay myself, so I leave it up to the rest of the party, but leave this as a thought to chew on: We probably didn't think about corking the bottle should the LT and crew turn tail, leave us in the dust, and put bounties on our heads for later pickings.

Robina and Orth could, keep them, from, running,if,need be with our superior speed ( 50ft and 50ft using magic,i think? )
So them escaping without us wanting them to is not a big concern..you should actually be fine where you are Jon since your using a bow

I was meaning Frederic,Orth and Anders backing up,to H14? I think it was.this way its more of a surprise and more,of a chokepoint for the..3? 4? Enemy melee
Plus Robina could move closer or stay at M5 since she could sneak up on them from that angle up to her

If no one cares then i guess we could keep the fight where they enter and hope we go through them quickly

Robina is close enough to use her magic, and doesn't want to get closer.

Depending who runs we can chase them down, but it is really the Lt we want. If anyone else runs I'd let them

    Aggressive trait
It us -1 ac and i gain +2 initiative.. .which explains my willingness to,just bash a guy

Also i just realized,i had 1 to,many hp ..changed from 23 to 22 due to quick trait causing me to lose 1hp a lvl

if no horse then 3rd target will be at f3, I will try to cut or lure the archer if it seems I can't get him from my angle.

Well now we can't get any info out of GX, maybe. My aim and everything else is definitively on that archer!

I don't think think Frederick needs to worry about his buffs expiring, because this "parley" aint gonna last longer than "Evil meet my sword! Sword meet evil"

Sadly Robina doesn't have enough Bluff to consider goading him into killing more of his own men.

And if you don't know what I mean:
El Disgusto: "THAT DOES IT! Time to show these guys I mean business. I whip out my phaser and kill the Helmsman."

    (roll dice, drop jaws)

    Me: "You what?"

El Disgusto: "My character says 'If I'm crazy enough to kill my own crew think of what I might do to you!'"

Weasly Crusher: "But I'm the Helmsman..."

Psycho Dave: "Actually you're smoldering atoms right now."

Ol' Yellowbelly: "Look can I just put on a space suit and take my chances outside?"

Weasly Crusher: "Didn't I even get a dodge?"

El Disgusto: "Where is your sense of realism? You don't get a dodge when you get shot in the back."

Psycho Dave: "The Klingons are laughing even harder now. They dare you to kill more of your crew."

Dumb question because I am very rusty:

What are we rolling 3d20s for in combat?

I get one is attack and one is crit confirmation, I don't get the third

Lightbulb Re: The test of your powers an endless guantlet

I really hope the talking is the turn for Drake, sometimes more than 6 words = 1 round. Still if his round is talking, then I am thinking some form of magic sword wielder and I really don't want to deal with an enemy spell caster. Plus seeing how he looked over the battlefield before, seems like he used a feat of some sort.
