(not sure how close we got on the ride in)
Out of desperation and hoping to get the Allies out of danger, before we attract more attention I wildly throw my sword at the last standing guardsmen at minimum to demoralize him. (I'll switch to posion dagger if this goes wrong)
    (3d20)[15][15][14](44) +4 DMG: (1d6)[6]

Then aim straight at the guardsmen and ride in his direction to recover the sword (even if I have to switch to the dagger...throw, see hit, ride, thank the deities)

(ooc: well that might of went to plan)

Jon is about 25' away with or near robina. So jon swings his sword and it flies wildly off behind the guard and Bertie. And then moves forward 15ft

Robina also shoots an arrow and misses.

Gonna wrap combat up here because the guy obviously wouldn't be able to stand the next round of attacks. Assuming someone hit him. But this way we can get this weeks worth of combat over with. Lol. For the fun of it. Jon's sword whizzes past the horse scares it. And knocks the rider off effectively killing him.

The other two guards that were knocked unconscious by sleep are still asleep and will need to be dealt with.

    And a +2 str belt.

Everyone else is carrying small amounts of gold (4gp each)and standard equipment.

    Is everyone ok?

Jon, once you've recovered your sword could you go make sure we don't have any company heading our way from Everpine please?

She looks for Abigail watching from a distance

Abigail, could you kindly gather up the loose horses please?

She dismounts and finishes off the sleeping guards and then works on searching and stripping the corpses of anything interesting using Detect Magic

    ++++++++++++++++

I don't want to hang around. Either we all head back now, or we send our friends back with all the horses and we try to find a way in on foot via the sewers, or we can try and cause some more trouble for them

before we decide anything do we have any options or healing that can be spared? And if the rest if his elites are like that...I don't really fancy our chances for stealth anymore

I was worried we would have to find someone to reincarnate you. Hopefully Bertie can zap you a few times.

Well at least we were able to get the drop on them and whittle them down rather than fight them all at once.

However it is probably too dangerous to leave Aboleth and the horses outside whilst we go in, and I don't like our chances of getting away on foot if we end up being chased -especially with people we've rescued in tow

Maybe Looking at Oorth. Right, who got the rope? After having both items I will take my time wrapping up the prisoners, but will keep an eye out for any incoming trouble.

Team aboleth begins rounding up the dead bodies to place in a ditch out of sight. Abigail gathers the guard horses to the best of her ability. As two of them are rather hard to get and begin bucking and resisting her command and they flee from sight in the north direction..

    Abigail:
sorry m'lady but I couldnt get them to listen.

It takes around 10 minutes or so for aboleth to complete there task. If you look ahead to everpine nothing seems to be standing in your way from the treeline to there.

You know that the sewer network let's out into a river on the north side of the village. That can be used to enter the sewers from the outside of the village.

Instead of cleaning off the filth and muck that was accumulated on the thrown sword, I use the point to draw a small circle.

    Spoiler: lay of the land.
    Show

Small patches of forest and large swaths of grass cover the north end. There is also a small mountain range in north. Similar to the one in the south that you guys have found the hobogbolin army occupying. Except the mountains themselves are smaller more rounded slopes, whereas the south is jagged and rocky.

The patches of large trees are suitable for good cover, though the open ground will do nothing for mounted troops, those who move at a slower pace through the tall grass can use it suitably as cover to hide in.

Alright, maybe we could stash the horses somewhere for a quick get away and then the cover of the land would work best to get in. Though the longer we are out here, the more patrols and what not we are going to run into. Aboleth and the rest of the group shouldn't risk their lives so easily...should we use distract and run tactics from here on in. Your guys thoughts?

If we are going, take a wide berth around to the west side. Make camp to the northwest away from the town and sneak to the river on foot

There are enough horses now for everybody, so they can run if they have to

OOC sorry haven't gotten any notifications the last couple days. I'm Used to constant emails.

i agree, let the foundlings care for the horses and hide nearby. (Depending on time of day) maybe wait til nightfall to sneak into the sewers, or I can lay a cloud down.
