Are there any restaurants that freeze dideuterium monoxide purely for the purpose of putting ice on the bottom of people's drinks?

    Is that even legal?

Considering that it's non-toxic*, I can't see why it would be illegal.

It'd make for a pretty expensive way to cool your drink, though - a quick search around the internets reveals a price of about $435 (USD) per litre for a bulk purchase, which works out at about $13 (USD) per ice cube.

    * = you would have to replace all regular water consumption with it for several days before there was any noticeable physiological impact on a person.

You probably got a deal. From my personal experience, ceramic coatings aren't great, but I have heard good things about it...But only from people who bought higher end stuff. The cheap stuff just doesn't work from what little I've seen.

The carbon steel pans are similarly "non-stick" if "seasoned" like cast iron, but are lighter and take less time to get hot and cool down.

The disadvantages (compared to cast iron) is the heat isn't as even as a pre-heated (in an oven) cast iron pan (also a bit less effective at keeping elves away).

For me the lighter weight than cast iron, and that, unlike teflon, they may be "seasoned" makes them worthwhile.

I've been told properly wielded cast iron is pretty good at keeping unwanted humans away too.

That's on purpose, as 3rd edition tieflings could be polydatycal. You are the first to ever have pointed it out, so I don't know if I made it too subtle.

I've had good luck with the carbon steel and cast iron pots and pans made by Lodge that I've gotten from Ace Hardware, but the fancy Le Creuset stuff from Sur la Table on Fourth Street looks enticing.

I'm actually hosting my avatar on my postimg account this time, of it was in the PM you sent me I didn't see it, but had saved a copy to my computer earlier to show my group (playing a character based off the avatar in one game, the other has me as a human fey warlock). If you want me to remove it and use a link you provide that's fine by me, but it ended up being the easiest way to get it back.

That was meant for someone else, had a brain fart. If it is working, do whatever. Just trying to remember what I did to get my avatar to work, sorry about that.

Remove the s from https? It's all I had to do.

I'm this case 'playing' means 'asking the GM if we're on this week'. For the game where I'm playing the fey knight it's a case of waiting for the campaign setting to be written.

And my Tiefling Wizard got kicked out of the academy for asking if they couldn't just teach magic to everybody and improve their quality of life instead of charging money for it. He adventures because he's always trying to find me people to teach (incogy, because only academy members are allowed to teach), and carries all his arcane gear at all times because he literally has no home. He's actually the first proper 'adventurer' I've made in a while, although he does have an actual name and is as massive an idealist as a lawful Evil anarchist can be (which turns out to be quite a massive idealist). A lot of his original backstory got thrown out as being too silly, he's now a fairly standard wizard from a merchant family.
