    Oh dear...

This would be the worst possible time for V to get spirited away by the IFCC.

The question is if V will be gone for 3:06 or 20:35.

Straight Rogue, last I checked. Her Will Save wouldn't be much better than Belkars, give or take a couple of points.

I'm more surprised that Hilgya failed... given... Cleric.

Not as good as a cleric's, who get max will save progression and have high wis to boot, and yet I can't fail but notice that they got Hilgya. Which is not surprising, since 1s and 20s do happen occasionally.

Or the vampire's specifically avoided targeting "low threat" enemies. Given that it's a standard action each time- don't want to waste those actions.

A vampire can crush an opponent’s will just by looking onto his or her eyes. This is similar to a gaze attack, except that the vampire must use a standard action, and those merely looking at it are not affected. Anyone the vampire targets must succeed on a Will save or fall instantly under the vampire’s influence as though by a dominate person spell (caster level 12th). The ability has a range of 30 feet.

It's possible that Durkula might be keeping his promise of not messing with Kudzu. Then again, maybe he rolled natural 20.

This looks like a turning point in the fight. I'm curios as to how V & Roy are going to handle it.

    V. should probably be ranting about the immense odds against all of those saves and dispel rolls going against the OotS right now (particularly Hilgya failing that Will save), but I suppose it wouldn't be fun if they won the fight that easily. . .
Sudden thought after watching an old "Lois and Clark" episode: Lane Davies aka Tempus is probably the best possible choice to portray an animated or live action Xykon if either of those ever becomes reality--he was born in 1950 and Tempus' personality is a close match for pre-lich Xykon IMO. Just my two cents.

This would be a really good time for the low level cleric to bust a Magic Circle Against Evil.

At least it shouldn't be too hard to free two of them, as there are two mook vampires present.

Roy isn't as vulnerable as V. right now--particularly since Roy's sword has the demonstrated ability to remove negative levels and wounds in the middle of a fight with undead.

I was under the impression that Roy's sword was a two-hander, but then it would take a full-round action to throw. Did we know it was a one-hander (likely a bastard)?

I got to panel 15, and was thinking, "why does Durkula look so happy? He should be confused or distressed or something."
Then I got to panel 16, and I was like "Oh. That's why."
Edit: I'm surprised we don't get to see the memory yet. I thought there was a climaxish moment coming.

Also, as a person without 3.5 knowledge, I don't understand why Bloodfeast didn't get turned into a dinosaur. Can anybody explain?

If *all* the abjurations of the Order just went down, I can think of a really adorable reason why Hilgya would quickly snap out of it, not knowing that Durkula has declared Kudzu off limits

There's a vampire spawn staring into the back rank right behind Roy. Maybe she did it? I'm not a D&D expert but a lookup of the vampiric gaze says it works like a Dominate Person with caster level 12 (5th level for spawn).

Clerics have decent will saves. Minrah passing her save is not unexpected. Hilgya tanking hers is, but bad rolls do happen.

MINNAH made her save but Hylga couldn’t?

Dang, how bad do you have roll to flub one in your classes area of expertise? I mean “high level” clerics are supposed to be good at that, and she has a huge willpower to cast high level spells like we’ve seen her do.
