Surely Parson did it because it made tactical sense (and because he was annoyed at how badly Wanda had booped up, and how big a mess it was making of his plan). Also because, like it or not, Parson knows he has to look good in Stanley's eyes if he's going to survive.

Stanley, on the other hand, might have given such an order out of anger, but he appears to have the tactical sense of a rabid mollusk.

(also added to my avatar gallery on the Custom Icons thread).

Wanda is manipulative, she does what she has to in order to get what she wants. We all may look on her with some disgust/disdain, but in reality we all do the same thing to one degree or another (hopefully less than her of course!). So I tend to see her 'caring' about Parson as something manipulative as well, although there might be some part of her that truly does.
I think that part of her relationship with Parson is that he's someone she respects -- everybody else is either too immature (Stanley), too weak in personality (Sizemore), under her control (Jillian, until now), or just not bright enough (Bogroll).

Of course, another part of it is that Parson is useful, and something of an unknown who needs to be studied.

Speaking of Jillian... well... it seems like the spell is broken and Jillian has decided. Unless, maybe the spell is still working and that is why Jillian seems to be acting a little recklessly in combat? I dunno, I've been wrong about her too much before.
    I think that's Jillian's natural inclination.

    ...
    Parson is her baby

It was her spell that brought him to erflife and she is responsible for his actions because Stanley expects results for his shmuckers.

EDIT: definitely motherly instincts at work here

We don't know that. All we know is that units pop fully-formed. We haven't been told what conditions must be met to enable a unit to pop.

For all we know, it could be like Conway's Life Game: get 3 units together at the right time, and a fourth pops next turn.

That's nice. Trying their best to win the A-Dwagons get anihilated 61% of the time, and you're complaining that they're not going for a capture so as to INCREASE those odds of anihilation and at the SAME TIME reduce drastically the damage that they do on the way down.

It's not Parson who's being stupid here.

Gez, they are playing off of the Leroy Jenkins clip. at the end of the clip after the team including Leroy (who led them to their death), the guy who plays Leroy in WoW says, "At least I had chicken." The other team members are complaining to/at Leroy for not following the plan and rushing in, even though they had a 67.66, repeating of course, probability of failure. Sorry as a math geek I was itching to say that.

Heh. I was slightly more polite about it. One thing I neglected to mention, though, is that even assuming that the dwagons did actually capture Jillian, they'd just have to release her when they all got croaked—already a probable outcome but guaranteed to be much more probable if they waste their effort trying to capture her. So, again, while capturing Jillian might be very desirable, it is not really available as an option. Parson saying "to croak" was probably redundant, but it's a good idea to make sure everyone is reading from the same page in such situations.

Yeah well. What are we to do about it from here? If the writer has writer's block, or the artist has artist's block, or they've both come down with a serious case of Life, 'bout all we can do is wait it out.

Oh, and in answer to other parts of this thread, I like Wanda, not just for the D/S angle, and I think she does actually care about Jillian. I think part of her anger in the latest strip is that her feelings are really hurt.

Tue, and Jillian herself seems to think that the spell is not broken. She seems to refer to herself still as Wanda's "doll." This could be a simple example of her attitude that there is no problem that cannot be fixed with the liberal application of a large sword. There, the dilemma is solved.

The thing that has me wondering is, being a sub like that, can she even have a relationship with Ansom? My experience is that subs get frustrated if their partners do not assume their necessary role, and I am wondering if that is within Amsom's capabilities. Especially since subs seem to have trouble explaining their needs, compared to doms, anyway. Ansom strikes me as particularly retarded in this area, so it will be interesting.

The effects of falling (and landing) in Erfworld are unknown; it may or may not correspond to what would be expected in the real world.

If falling into the lake would croak her anyway, swarming her with all available forces is actually a tactical error.

Well, there are still gwiffons left to catch her. Parson's taking no chances...

The swarming might be what it takes to knock her off her perch, and keep her from sticking the landing on the gwiffin below. When you bull rush someone, you don't do it half-way.

I still think Jillian will fall into the lake, thus saving the remaining A-dwagons. We'll see her crawling ashore later, moss in her hair, and a very annoyed look on her face when she looks up and sees Webinar's concerned face looking down at her.

No it would cause the archons to catch her giving an opening for a big counter assualt.
