    R2T10: The fire bat that just witnessed Corrin's disappearance gives makes hissing-squeak noises and closes to where Corrin had been (and still is), but can't seem to bite anything.

    R2T9: Skald takes aim at the bat in point blank range - as in, its right damn in front of him - and fires at it as it misses its AOO. The first two arrows hit for a total of 15 + 10 electricity, the third arrow misses, and the extra arrow provided by haste hits for 13 + 2 electricity.

    R2T7: Skald's enemy seems to heal a little (5), despite almost having been taken out. It then bites Skald on his left lower leg; the bite itself doesn't hurt (and it bit as hard as it could), but the flames still do 4 fire.

    R2T6: Tom's fire bat attacks him and misses.

    End Round 2, Begin Round 3 ...

    R3T24:
    Tom, you are on the far back line (though not terribly far from Hoggie's cat, Rusty - about 10' away) and you are being attacked by a fire bat. Your illusion that you dropped concentration on is doing independent ops right now. You are facing one of these bat creatures, and cold seemed to do just fine against it. You figure you will be able to breathe again next round. What do you do?

    Okay, it looked like things were getting too close for ionized blasts; she needed to focus on melee. She clenched her F.I.S.T. and created a blade of plasma; like lightning in the shape of a blade. The plasmatic blade was closer to a punching dagger than a sword, only about two inches in length, but just touching it would be a unwise decision. She brandishes the blade at the bats, daring them to come at her.

    R3T20: Eliezer turns around to respond to the fire bat that charged him, and with full power in his grip, slams his hammer into its skull. Like the first one, this one screeches and screams as it disappears in a puff of fire and smoke. Eliezer, seeing Vona wielding a curious light-blade from her special gauntlet, notes that two face her. He then zooms in to threaten both of them (and setting up a flank on FB4 if she does a 5-foot step forward next turn).

    I think you forgot you had one had charged you after you got rid of your first.
    Also of note, as soon as Eliezer got within 20' of Vona, her plasma blade winked out of existence, leaving Vona without a threatening weapon!

    R3T13: FB3, the very wounded one fighting Vona, heals 5. It turns around and attacks the new combatant (Eliezer). It is a ferocious attack, but it can't seem to chew through Eliezer's tough hide.

    R3T12: Corrin, the fire bat is attacking the square it last saw you in, which is the same one you are currently in, so it just might get a lucky shot. What do you do?

    Corrin walks away from the blind bat attacking him until he is about 40ft away. He then gathers his magical energies and (invisibly) gestures the requirements to send a full power blast at the bat he just left.

    R3T12: Corrin haste-walks away ... and is attacked by his fire-bat! ... but he still moves away from the bat attacking him until he is about 40ft away. He then gathers his magical energies and (invisibly) gestures the requirements to send a full power blast at the bat he just left, hitting the creature for 43! The bat drops to the ground, unmoving (though fire still gutters from it).

    ---EDIT: The exchange between Rabbi Cohen and Vona is unnecessary as her lightsaber immediately winks back into view, only temporarily having guttered, possibily because of the strange overlay of different types of magic while on a possibly heavy ley-line area (the reason Tanaroa was built on this site, perhaps?).

    R3T11-10: Vona's original enemy attacks her (missing). Meanwhile, the bat that Corrin dropped comes back to full brightness of flame, gets on its little feet, and then flies for about 10' before it then finishes moving another 25' in a direct beeline for Corrin (who is now adjacent to "his" fire bat, again). It flaps in the air, screeching its fire-bat screech right in Corrin's face.

    R3T9: Skald, you are threatened by a fire-bat that is badly wounded. Also, remember that if you do a full-attack action, you get a bonus attack (at the highest bonus used for that round based on your shooting choices) from haste. What do you do?

    R3T9: Skald takes aim again with his bow and looses a flurry of arrows. But he opens up an AOO from his enemy first; only because of Skald's weapon dominance training with bows is he able to use his bow to fend off the attack. Skald shoots his bow right down the gullet of his enemy for 12 + 5 electricity, dropping it. Seeing the gnome beset by two fire-bats he then shifts aim and shoots at the most wounded one, hitting it for 12 + 5 electricity, dropping that one as well. He shoots the other fire-bat on the gnome, again for 12 + 5 electricity, and then once more for 12 + 1 electricity. Skald then move five feet farther downfield towards the communal bonfire.

    Okay, you're still not quite getting it. This is better, though, as you realize using a FAA you only have a 5-foot free move available. The problem is that you have one too many attacks.Using Rapid Shot and a FAA (full attack action), you can shoot three arrows ... at +13, +13, and +8. Haste gives you a single extra attack at that highest bonus, so +13, +13 (haste) and +8.

    Also, I don't know if you are doing it on purpose? But your best best when you have an enemy threatening you is to take a five-foot-step away before unloading on them, or else they get an AOO on you.

    R3T7: Having moved only a few feet, and hovering over the body of the one he just dropped with his first arrow, Skald sees that the fire-bat below him heals 5, though is still unconscious.

    R3T6: The fire bat on Tom heals 5, then attacks the divspawn (missing).

    End Round 3, Begin Round 4 ....

    R4T24:
    Tom, your giant eagle illusion finally dissipates. You still have a fire-bat on you. You can breathe again. What do you do?

    R4T20: Rabbi Eliezer alights and smacks both of the downed bats with his hammer, and as each one is hit, they burst in a small, screeching gout of flame before disappearing.

    R4T12: Corrin, your fire-bat is once again adjacent to you, despite invisibility and your best attempts to snipe to hide your shot. It does seem like the invisibility foils it some, but you're not exactly how or why. What do you do?

    Skald will take a quick glance around to assess as he flies another 5 feet away from the bat that was attacking him. He will then do as before and send a series of bolts around at the remaining attacking foes.

    Seeing how badly Vona destroyed her fire bat, but it hadn't disappeared, Eliezer figures it out and shouts as loud as he can to the scattered allies, "They might be vulnerable to cold, but holy weapons actually kill them. They seem to have true regeneration!"

Pieces of it fall about, no more flame guttering even, though the majority of its body parts fall into a clump beneath where it was flapping.

    R4T10: And like that, the vast majority of those clumps find their way to each other and licks of flame come from that fallen fire-bat. It is still unmoving, but seems to already be more than halfway reconstituted (not like there's much to constitute ... they're rather frail, all things considered).

    R4T9: Skald will take a quick glance around to assess as he flies another 5 feet away from the bat that was attacking him. He will then do as before and send a series of arrows around at the remaining foe that is attacking Tom (50' away). Three arrows hit that bat before it screeches away from a puff of flame and into nothingness.

    R4T7: Skald's bat heals enough so that it is disabled and conscious. It gets onto its little bat feet, and then flaps to Skald to bite him in the chest - not enough to actually physically hurt Skald from the bite, but still doing 6 fire.

    End Round 4, Begin Round 5 ...

    R5T24:
    Tom, there is one more bat flying around on the field ... 50' away, attacking Skald. There is only one other bat - it's lying down and is regenerating - 40' away. You can't breathe yet. What do you do?

    Vona held her blade to the mess that was once a fire bat. If Elizer was right, then the best she could do is keep it from regenerating while the others finished off the other one, "Finish the other one! I'll keep this one down in the mean time!" She then continued to stab at the pulpy mess to keep it from reforming.
