Re: Have you ever used a movie quote in real life? Drop it here!
My favorites:
"Apes together strong." – Rise of the Planet of the Apes
“Just when you think it can't get any worse you run out of cigarettes” - Carol
“Not my tempo” - Whiplash
I always make a note of interesting movie quotes and use it mostly for different assignments. I’m working as an academic writer so I need draw inspiration for my essay papers

Re: Have you ever used a movie quote in real life? Drop it here!
The Braveheart soundtrack has aged much better than the actual film, but I have had surprisingly frequent occasion to say "Every man dies. Not every man really lives." (Because middle-aged female co-workers seem to equate every mild going out of one's way to help people with literally risking death. I blame the morning news.)
"What's comin' will come, an' we'll meet it when it does." Actually my yearbook quote. Still use it as a gentle nudge to the overly complacent and the narrowly paranoid alike.
"Your time is your own." Just a brief reminder to my Lewis-reading friends when we hit something irritating that wasn't according to schedule: it isn't, actually.
On the lighter side: every time a jigsaw puzzle comes out of the box, it's "if you can't win the game, if you can't solve the puzzle, you're just another loser," and I find myself compelled to put my money where my mouth is.Don't blame me. I voted for Kodos.

Re: Have you ever used a movie quote in real life? Drop it here!
I lifted one of my own recurring taglines (I try to live my life a bit more like a B-movie character) from the newer of the two Action Man cartoons: "Time for action". It actually sounds less bad in the Dutch translation.

"Do, or do not, there is no try."
Anytime someone tells me they're going to try something.
"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn"
I said that one to my boss once.
There's probably a lot of others, but I really can't remember them all. During our roleplay sessions we often use movie quotes, but I guess that doesn't count.

To my daughter, often: "I never lie." - Baron Munchausen.
Someday she's going to see that movie and want to smack me so hard.

On the lines where I work, the emergency stop button that shuts off all the equipment is big and bright red. When I was training a new co worker, I got to tell them "Oh, and the red button kid. Don't ever ever touch the red button."

Re: Have you ever used a movie quote in real life? Drop it here!
Years ago, after a night out my friends and I stopped at a 24h open fast food to grab a bite and chat a little bit before heading off to our respective homes. One of my friends had a new boyfriend, so we showed some interest in him and tried to make him feel welcome.
The guy, I guess feeling more confident, started talking about his huge passion in martial arts (which is fine, don't get me wrong here); after a while he then started boasting about how good he was and how he could beat anyone who dared disturb us (lots of people were a bit tipsy in the fast food, but overall no one seemed in a fighting mood) so I put my fingers on my temple and said "Unagi!".
Some of my friends are Friends fans and they started laughing so hard; the guy didn't get the joke and when I explained to him he didn't seem that much entertained and was no longer in a talking mood for the night.
(Luckily for me, my friend dumped the guy after a couple of months since after that night I always felt a bit awkward around him)"Rabbit has Brain. That's why he never understands anything."
