    That said, at the moment, Heather can't take an AoO, as she's flat footed, as she hasn't acted in this combat yet.

    It might be better just to stay prone -- standing up will provoke. As far as I can tell those AoOs will happen BEFORE you stand, so they won't just trip you again, but it's still two extra attacks.

    That said... at the moment, the best decision(Tactically) might not be the best decision in terms of RP.

    For example, Alice should have started inspiring courage, to give everyone +3 to attack and damage, which would help a lot more than her attacking. Alternatively, using Glitterdust to disable a few wolves.

    Speaking of which...

    Ilven, is there any chance of you allowing something to spend sorcerer spell slots to cast bard spells?(I'm fairly certain that it would need to be homebrew.)(And that the answer will be no.)

    It was really hard for me to decide what to do. Maybe I could have done something more useful than dazing a single wolf, but that was the most fitting RP decision Amsterdam would do.

    Cone was centered on D17 so it should definitely hit Big Wolf 1 (in all 4 squares) and Wolf 4. Not sure if it would also hit Wolf 5 or not.

    I think we're going to have to find a way to speed up the combat round drastically. It's been a fortnight since I had an opportunity to make any contributions and the round still isn't done.

    I can say now this isn't sustainable for me.

    I believe Wolf 5 dies before Heather gets a chance to move(Tifa acts before Heather).
    This would prevent her death.

    Once you confirm or deny this, Alice will have a chance to go(It makes a fairly significant difference to her actions.)

    I've seen it done both ways(Players actions execute in the order of their posts) or (Player actions execute in their init order) or even (Player actions execute in whichever order they choose them to).

    Two of these would allow Heather to survive, if severely injured. With a valuable lesson.

    Edit: Please note that she did post that before you approved group init.

    (That's it, I'm out of reasonable arguments for her to not die.)

    Well, IF she's still alive AND the wolves aren't lucky on saves vs paralysis, she should make it another round.

    just my 2 coppers worth yes my post was prior to the group init and posted as I was not certain how fast things would get to heather as my post rate on weekends is limited
    and I would tend to agree that the wolves should get hit prior to that movement -

    BUT if the gm wants to stick with the 16 points of damage issued - of the 11 hp heather had it would put her at -5 and dying , certainly not
    I believe the total damage kills Heather outright.
    anyways.
    gm tell me if your ruling heather DEAD or DYING or at 5hp

    Based on Ilven's earlier answers, after I pointed out that you had posted improperly...

    Originally, you would have taken 22 damage, which would have been fatal.

    12 from the Big Wolf's AoO.
    4 from Wolf 5's AoO.
    And 6 from Wolf 3.

    The concern was that Wolf 5 was killed by Tifa, who would have acted before you.

    The end result is that his AoO didn't happen, so you took 18 total damage, putting you at -7.

    Then, Alice heals you for 10 points, putting you to 3.

    not sure what your looking at heathers max HP is 28 - 22 would not be fatal and 28-18 would be 10, and if healed for 10 then would be at 20 hp

    so someone make some sense.. and then the next question for the GM is if alive heathers action, for familiar and so forth - does this still occur ?

    Heather has... been hit by the big wolf for 14, and nommed for another 3.(17)

    Then, she gets hit by the big wolf again for 12, and wolf 3 for another 6.(35)

    Additionally, there is the potential for Wolf 5 to have hit her as well, which is where the question comes in, as that would put you at 39 total damage, which would be lethal.

    Now, I'm positive that Ilven has said that you're alive, as would 5 was dead before it could have hit you.(-7 before Alice's heal, 3 afterwards.)
