Is there really a thread necromancy rule around here?
I don’t like it.
A thread I started a while back was responded to and then locked.
When did this rule start?
Why do we have the ability to respond to any thread older than 45 days if it isn’t allowed?
Bumping an old thread just to bump it is spam and shouldn’t be allowed, but adding a different perspective on an idea that might still be valid with many players is better than starting a brand new thread, don’t you think?
Just my opinion.

Re: Is there really a thread necromancy rule around here?
Yup! Check out the forum rules; they're linked at the top of every forum page (Including this one).
Been around for as long as I've been active here.

Re: Is there really a thread necromancy rule around here?
Sheriff: Yes, it really is a rule. It's a very old rule around here. It exists for a variety of reasons, some noted here.
Forum Rules, under things not to do here:
Thread Necromancy
Bringing a thread back from "the dead." If a thread hasn't been posted in within the last 45 days, don't reply to it. Start a new topic, if you want to discuss the subject (you are welcome to link to the old thread). If you think it would be better to resurrect an old thread, PM a moderator for that subforum and wait for approval. The original poster of a creation in Homebrew (and only that poster) may revive a creation beyond the 45 day threshold without prior Moderator approval.Last edited by Roland St. Jude; 2018-07-06 at 09:37 PM.
