Re: DocWagon Seattle First Response (Auburn)
[You heard the lady, Grunty,] Brachial says, grinning as he leans back in his seat. [No singing.]
DarkLadyoftheSith: Its not a Santanya post if there's not an edit at the end of it.

Grunty
Grunty smirks "Don't worry, this won't be half as good as the karaoke events back in the barracks anyway. You don't know what pain is until you heard a gunny 'sing' after half a dozen beers."

Re: DocWagon Seattle First Response (Auburn)
Music is piped in, filling the copter with a snappy beat and a female voice singing in Japanese about some boy she apparently likes but who hasn't noticed her. After a half minute of the song, the helicopter starts to make a humming sound that matches the melody. Tinkerbelle's smooth, even flight takes on a gentle swaying back and forth.
When the song ends, the humming and swaying stop abruptly, then after a half minute of the next song, it starts again.
[Great. Kitty likes this stuff.]

Re: DocWagon Seattle First Response (Auburn)
The copter slows down gently and reaches a standby point. Tinkerbelle is no longer using the original one, apparently concerned about the possibility that it might be a hot spot for spirits or something. Kitty is a few km off to the west of that place, just sitting there with the humming noise going along with each song.

Condition critical - 10:00
The orange dot pops onto the map, off to the east, near 169. [About a minute to our destination, folks.] Tinkerbelle flips the copter around and hits the speed in a more usual demonstration of her flight style.
11:22pm
Condition critical - 8:58
Sure enough, it's about a minute later when the copter streaks to a stop over a rooftop. The orange dot is on the building, but there's nothing to see on the roof. The most likely explanation is that the client is inside it. The building is four stories tall and looks to be in disrepair, possibly abandoned. The purpose of the building in question was likely some kind of warehouse or manufacturing, but the sign has faded and there is no AR information immediately available. There is a small parking lot to one side with a chain link fence around it, and it looks like there is space on one side for a semi to back up into a loading area. The lot and fence both have grasses growing in them, and the whole area is covered with graffiti of various kinds.
[Pick your drop spot.]

Mig looks to the rest of the group. "Start on the roof, work our way down?" she suggests. [I don't suppose you can tell what floor the client is on, can you, Tink?]Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.

Grunty
When the call comes up, Grunty goes through his usual routine of charging his weapon. He is content to let Brachial decide on an insertion point.
Brach is the medic, Grunty is just tactical support after all.

Brachial
Brachial tugs his restraint off and moves towards the window of the chopper at Tink nears it. He shakes his head slightly. [Roof doesn't look good,] he replies as he looks out. [No door down in, just the skylight, and beings we don't know our way down and out, might be better to secure the way into and out from the patient on the way in. Just the medic though, you guys are the tac-ops.] He turns and grabs the first aide kit and a stretcher, holding the latter out towards Gatto.Last edited by Santanya; 2008-12-15 at 11:13 AM.

Re: DocWagon Seattle First Response (Auburn)
[One elevator to Hell.] That's all the warning Tinkerbelle gives before the copter slides over and drops to the ground. It's a gut lurching, near free sort of fall, but she clearly has control when the landing is soft and uneventful.
She's managed to pick the side of the building with a people sized access door, though the door itself is missing. There is just a doorway with couple of flat boards lying in a heap on the ground next to it. The windows are mostly broken and a few at street level have been given a half-hearted attempt at boarding them up.
As the door of the copter is opening, facing towards the doorway, a little bit of smoke begins to roil out of that doorway.Last edited by dauphinous; 2008-12-15 at 06:49 PM.

Brachial
Brachial starts to move out the door as soon as the chopper touches down behind the two tac-support. [Keep it warm for us,] he calls back as he exits. [Wow, this place looks completely dead,] he comments as they near the building.DarkLadyoftheSith: Its not a Santanya post if there's not an edit at the end of it.

"Perhaps not your best choice of words ever, Brach..." Her eyes slitted as she gets off the helicoptor behind the medic, she looks around trying to get her astral bearings.

Grunty
Grunty deploys himself, making sure to stick to Brachial to be able to do his job. Which is to catch the lead for the less sturdy teammembers.
[So does anyone have some thermal?]

Re: DocWagon Seattle First Response (Auburn)
As soon as the last person is out, Tinkerbelle lifts the helicopter up and out of the way. [Call me when you need me. I'll be close by.] The smoke continues to just drift out the door, apparently far enough from the helicopter to not be affected by the rotors.
