The bacon ice cream makes more sense to me, you're adding salt and smoky flavor to the ice cream. Probably not going to result in much, but there's an idea there. Mayonnaise? Who does THAT one?

Mayo is inherently disgusting, so putting it in ice cream is just a tragedy.

I like mayonnaise enough that I’d try that at least once (mayonnaise is delicious, y’all), but it’d probably be disgusting.

I’d like to try ice cream with bacon some time, I think it would probably be good. I had bacon chocolate once and it was weird, but tasty.

Mayo (in small amounts) is better than salad dressing (miracle whip) on sandwiches but I'm not thinking that ice cream is an acceptable solution.

    And unborn babies.

As for Mayonaise, I despise the stuff. It is made of concentrated evil. On the other hand, Gilroy California, the Garlic Capital of the World, is (in)famous for its garlic flavor icecream. I think that garlic icecream sounds significantly worse than mayonnaise flavor icecream. Actually, I can't see mayo flavor icecream even having a flavor.

Now and no longer. I think Bartman retyped the whole rules list, because some wordings have changed.

Also, now that we've got a working Previous Threads list, I went back to check how the rules looked back when (and lost a few hours reading the threads from my early days), and rule 14 was apparently introduced in RB #136, but it was unofficial even before then.

The last RB I posted in was probably right around when I started one, back in the 60s. I think we had had a rule of "no repeats" at the time.

    A) Imgur is broken. Please find a different image host.
    B) French only add extra letters when it doesn't matter. For truly atrocious letter adding, you need to look at 17th century English names. I have an ancestor who spelled his last name "Greenne".

I spell that one "diarrhea", and I suspect so do most people. "diarrhoea" is a valid variant spelling, according to the dictionary, which I assume is there because the original Latin word had the O--words which are not commonly used in day-to-day conversation tend to retain their old spellings, which is why the official English plural of "dwarf" is "dwarfs" rather than "dwarves".

I mean, that does contain a relevant sub-word, but I think adding a silent "r" at the end is stupid enough to make it not worth it.
