Computer hates Mouse.
Sometimes, my computer decides that the mouse shouldn't work.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Restarting the computer is a temporary fix, but obviously an undesirable one.
a Different mouse has the same problem.
Using a different USB port does not fix the problem.
Help?

Re: Computer hates Mouse.
Also, are all your drivers (not just for the mouse) up to date? Do you have the latest updates for your OS?

Re: Computer hates Mouse.
Due to the intermittent nature of the issue, this may sound like a silly question. Assuming you're on Windows, when the mouse stops working, is it visible in the Device Manager?
(No, I don't know how to access the Device Manager via keyboard off the top of my head, but will defer to someone else to guide you through that part.)"Okay, so I'm going to quick draw and dual wield these one-pound caltrops as improvised weapons..."

"Oh, hey, look! Blue Eyes Black Lotus!" "Wait what, do you sacrifice a mana to the... Does it like, summon a... What would that card even do!?" "Oh, it's got a four-energy attack. Completely unviable in actual play, so don't worry about it."

Re: Computer hates Mouse.
A laptop (with the worst touchpad, who thought it would be a good idea to integrate the pad with it's buttons?)
We're on win 10. I believe it updated this morning.
When the mouse doesn't work, the light for the laser is still on.

Re: Computer hates Mouse.
Is your mouse advanced enough to have its own drivers/software? If so you may need to update that manually from the manufacturer's website.
"And if you don't, the consequences will be dire!"
"What? They'll have three extra hit dice and a rend attack?"

Re: Computer hates Mouse.
If these mice work on other computers, it's clearly that smoething is wrong with your computer or USB port.
