Kaladan inhales sharply in suprise before dropping his voice just above a whisper. "It's a Guard Drake. They're not natural, one creates them with a supply of dragon scales and the proper rituals." He points towards the drake and continues, "See those cracks in the scales? The magic isn't quite holding it together." He drops his arm back down and says, "It could definitely belong to the bandits. Even if it isn't raiding the caravans, it might be guarding something of theirs."

As the group quietly debates their plan, the drake continues to pace and scratch at the floor. Soon, it finds a suitable spot and begins to dig through the earth, but pauses and comes back up, starting to scratch what appears to be a marker into the ground, pointing at the started hole.

Jezean circles around the drake so as to not give away the rest of the group's positions and then stands up, and starts padding towards the drake, not trying to be quiet, to let it know of her presence and not startle it. She speaks in Draconic: "Hey, how's it going? I see you've started a hole here. How many have you dug today and where? Hold up that many claws and point in their directions. Boss's orders."

The drake sizes up Jezean, seeming to understand at least most of her words. In response, though, it nudges its head towards the dragonborn, then rises on its hind legs, appearing almost to impersonate her. It then slams back down to four legs and jerks its head twice towards the direction of the ruins, growling menacingly if Jezean tries to approach it or its hole.

    Dex Save (1d20)[13]

Feanir's blow glances once again off the beasts scales, but Silence's rapier manages to sneak through a crack in its scales, dealing a surprising amount of damage. As well, Kal's axe once again finds its mark. Kaladin tries a different spell, although this one seems just as ineffective as the first.

The drake is limping now from its wounds, but its not seeming to bleed. Huh. Regardless, it takes a stand and fights, lashing out at Kal with both teeth and tail.

By the way, as you guys fight the drake, you've started to notice something. You've clearly been damaging the beast, but there's no blood anywhere. It's wounds just show up as more of those golden cracks you saw at the start. And now, you start to notice the wounded parts seem to have a bit of a gel-like look to them.

Meh, turn order doesn't matter that much, since you all go before the drake.
Kal's axe once again rips into the drake, causing what should have been a shower of... anything. Instead, the gold gel holds together, but several scales fall off in return.

The drake is really reeling now. One good, or even mediocre hit from Feanir or Kaladin will put it out of its misery.
