I've always thought it a crime that Wallace Shawn and Clint Howard don't just team up and do movies together.

I don't imagine him with a particular person's voice, but when I read Oots out loud with my partner I always give him a kind of brazen, stand-up comedian type voice. Which contrasts with Redcloak, who is quiet and articulate. I can't speak to pitch because I'm female

I was about to write the same thing, which is very much a surprise since I hadn't really thought about it until now, but it felt like the most obvious conclusion!

Even though I can't really hear his "power equals power" monologue in that voice. That seems more like something that Keith David would voice

You think so? I always thought his original voice made him sound weak. Like I just got this vibe of "I am a horrible villain and will kill you so please don't hurt me!" every time he spoke. I preferred TLC voice. sort of like Darth Vader but with a sardonic note to everything he says.

I feel the opposite; his original voice was strong and sinister but still human and more subtle. You could easily see how proud could be done into thinking he was a hero the could cheer on, but still had plenty of cunning and malice in it. The updated voice was just cartoonish, as if they put up a neon sign saying "BAD GUY." It had all the style and artistry of a sledgehammer.

I always think of it as JEJ whenever serious, and Greg Eagles otherwise.

Never thought about John DiMaggio, but a joker/bender/jake voice is actually pretty interesting choice

Yes, that's about right. I know a guy from Philly IRL (he lives in Texas now) whose voice is close to that ... except that he's not a scumbag. (He's just from Philly, which can be its own brand of annoying for anyone not from there ...)

I imagined him sounding like a mix between Christopher Lee and BRIAN BLESSED !
2B or not 2B, that is... a really inane question

In communication and in fiction, what is intended and what is understood, rarely align even in the best of times. It even rarer for it to be the best of times.

Somehow, unlike many - it seems, I've never imagined Xykon to have a deep voice. My thought was kind of high pitched and twisted, eerie and weird enough. But nothing wrong with anybody elses impression of of course
