Aquatic goblinoids? Wow. I didn't know those existed. Even #1038 only mentions goblins, hogoblins, bugbears, norkers, nilbogs (who may or may not exist), and the Dark One of whom it's unclear what species, if any, he comes of. None of those seem to be aquatic. I only remember water trolls and water ogres. I''m curious to find out the answer.

Oh! Those an aquatic goblin species? I thought they were just ordinary hobgoblins who temporarily have water-breathing from Gillyweed or a clerical spell or druid spell. Interesting.

I suppose it could be, but I'm not sure why the cleric doesn't have the same spell in that case. Also, they're all wearing clothes we've never seen hobgoblins wear. It seems weird that they'd change into a different uniform for that.

Fun fact about goblinoids: if I understood correctly the explanation on the latest 5th edition books, they are a group of distantly related (or even not at all, it's not that clear) species, that were unified under the "goblin/goblinoid" umbrella whem Maglubiyet defeated and subjugated the gods of each race. That's, of course, one version, but I think it's a pretty interesting one.
