Click clack sneak attack!
How would you build a centaur rogue? I was thinking a str based theif to counter the reduced climb speed and fast bow to swordnboard tactics.
what is the point of living if you can't deadlift?
All credit to the amazing avatar goes to thoroughlyS

Re: Click clack sneak attack!
I'd probably go 1 level Fighter to start, for Heavy Armor proficiency, and go melee Scout or Swashbuckler and abuse that extra high movement speed as a heavy armor Rogue, using Strength-Rapier while in melee.
Swashbuckler would work better as a mobile melee combatant, Scout would work better when using Darts as a medium ranged skirmisher.
Or combine the best of both worlds, be a Scout with Mobile and move 25 feet when enemies stop near you. Grab them (Expertise into Athletics) and go on a journey together into the horizon, moving 37.5 feet per round (+25 if you dash).
There's some debate (and some support) that being considered a larger build (like the Centaur/Goliath) means you're less impacted by dragging creatures. Grappling states if you are two or more sizes than the creature you're dragging, you do not suffer any movement penalties for dragging them. Depending on how your DM defines that, this means that you may be able to drag Small creatures as a Centaur without any movement penalties.Last edited by Man_Over_Game; 2018-11-16 at 06:17 PM.

You're gonna need some padded hoof booties.
I probably don't understand your acronyms, but I'd gladly share my ale.

Re: Click clack sneak attack!
Druid 2 / rogue x
Utility cantrips and wildshape to get over your climbing pitfalls, full dex rogue as normal. Maybe scout rogue to continue nature theme.
Druid land to avoid difficult terrain...
Or thief to fix your climbing... not sure if it would..
Centaur says: "When you make such a climb, each foot of movement costs you 4 extra feet, instead of the normal 1 extra foot."
Theif says: "climbing no longer costs you extra movement."
Works by raw.
I'd totally flavor them as a deertuar body type for the thin fragile dex build. Or if theif a mountain goat body.
Or if you go theif you could pair it with anything. Or just plain theif. Ranger / Thief maybe.Last edited by MagneticKitty; 2018-11-16 at 06:51 PM.

Re: Click clack sneak attack!
This idea makes me wonder...Can you coordinate with any other players? Because I do wonder if halflings count as finesse weapons. I know they don't by the rules, but a centaur paladin flinging a halfling rogue at enemies while shouting 'SNEAK ATTACK' is just too good of an idea to ignore.
For all of your completely and utterly honest needs. Zaydos made, Tiefling approved.

78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
Where did you start yours?
Planeswalking from Kamigawa to an unnamed Plane. Where I was immediately attacked by a giant beast.
