SC's Kingdom Game: The Uncanny Valley

Between Luvon and Lelouch's missed attacks the couch is completely destroyed, opening up the now defenseless fart target to a bolt from Tetro. The three crossbowmen try to maneuver out of the reach of the man in a robot suit wielding a chainsaw on a stick, and take pot shots at him. Two of the bolts hit the suit but both fail to leave a lasting impact.

The rapier bearing man slips on some of the blood pooling from his unconscious ally and barely prevents himself from falling.

Luvon shifted yet again, working for a better angle but the oaf in front of him kept him from entering the domicile proper and thus the trio in the back could easily maneuver out of proper sights. Whatever. Another bolt rushed towards the remaining thug by the door.

All fart targets now out of sight, Tetro lets a sigh out before hopping down to the ground to move up towards the door to rejoin her teammates, muttering at herself about missing her last few shots.

Cursing under his breath, Lelouch steps forward and swings again, this time aiming for the northern crossbowman with the blade on his glaive slows down to a stop as he completes the swing.

Hapax steps back and summons a third, different rune, All of a sudden the ground, the ground shakes behind the southernmost couch; as stone riddle the ground, tripping up the brigands behind it.

Spend Word Point 2 (2 left) on Earth, causing the area behind the bottom couch (with the two thugs behind it) to shake. They need to make a DC 15 Reflex or fall prone.

Luvon's bolt goes wide as Tetro jumps down from the tree.

The rapier wielder shouts "You killed her!" at Luvon as he stabs him for 5 damage.

Hapax's rune was more effective than he anticipated as a large hole is opened up in the rickety floor and the two goons land prone (The gray area is difficult terrain). The two that fell spend their turns standing back up and gathering their crossbows. The other crossbowman ducks a blow that would have cut him in half and takes another panicked shot at Lelouch that deals 3 more damage to his suit. However he is not out of Lelouch's reach and provokes an AOO.

Hm? Oh, yes I suppose I did. Is that an issue? Well. I suppose it won't matter soon. He hoped backwards with one foot, leveling his crossbow with the other and unleashing another bolt.

Hapax was hoping he'd have soem breathing room, but that clearly wasn't happening. He swung his mind blade into the side of his attacker's head before stepping back for a second

Slipping up through the doorway and off to the small corridor, staying within earshot and sight of both Hapax and Luvon. She could only hope she'd be loud enough for Lelouch to hear as well. Setting her crossbow down, she clears her throat, and quiet loudly shout's the first thing that pops in her head,"Oye, cmon now, yer aim is better than that, considering both of ya hit all me targets last night." Gestures while giving a smile. Yet she sliently swore as it had sounded better in her head.

Becoming infuirated at all of the dents being formed in his suit, Lelouch again stepped towards the crossbowman, now that they were backed into a corner and swings with his gliave, this time hoping to finally put an end to this nuisance.

The rapier wielder swats Luvon's bolt aside and takes a wild stab back at him. Yang's inspiration is just the pick me up that Hapax needed as he drops the man with a single clean swing before he can hurt Luvon.

Meanwhile, Lelouch leaves great gashes in two of the crossbowmen and they crumple to the broken floor. The last of the three takes a shot as he stumbles back. His trembling hand means that the bolt never even came close to striking the suit. He drops the crossbow and tries to run away through the back door.

"Monster! Stay back!" he calls over his shoulder.

Rather than try and fight his way through, Hapax ran around back as best he could.

After taking care of two of the crossbowman. Lelouch turns and moves toward the fleeing crossbowman. Once he got close enough, Lelouch swung at the man with his glaive.

With several of the guards now downed, Tetro moves up to the center of the building, before moving any further summons about a twenty small lights out of thin air, each one no brighter than candle light. Flickering as they float around Tetro who simply looks around to take the damage done thus far. Her tail swishing to and fro while listening and waiting.

Luvon makes a tsk sound as the man crumples before him. He turns, hopping off the porch and moving around the building, readying a a shot if anyone crossed his path.

The crossbowman ducks a swing from Lelouch and heads out the back...and gets taken down by Luvon's bolt.

While Tetro is inspecting the house, a woman bursts out of one of the other rooms and runs past her through the front door.

Satisfied, Luvon was about to go find his errant bolts when he heard the sound of rapid footsteps. He shifted back, rushing down the path readying another bolt for the final thug.

Turning to face the other room, makes a small gesture for the door to open, a few of the candles float in towards the doorway. Tetro's tail still swishing, as she tilt's her head looking, listening. Hoping that there are no more surprises behind door number 3.

Hearing the door slam open and hurried foot steps, Lelouch moves as quickly as possible inside his mech, towards the front door giving chase to the sounds he heard a few seconds before.

Hearing movement behind him, Hapax turns. He sees the woman and decides that on the off chance she was a prisoner and not a bandit, he shouldn't use lethal force. Instead, he gestured to the gound and up from them rose a square cylinder. a five foot square at the base and ten feet tall at the top. That should hold her for a bit.

The woman skids to a stop before you lose sight of her behind the newly formed stone walls.

"Aw, hell. I knew I should have gone out the window." echoes dully from inside.

Hapax did his best to concentrate on the stone he'd created; it would evaporate in a few second when he stopped concentrating on it. Seeing Tetro come out of the building, he raised an eyebrow. "Me and Luvon 'hit all your targets last night'? I think I'd remember something like that."

Luvon rolled his eyes, setting out to find all the spare bolts (and bolt bits) throughout the area. He mentally kicked himself for coming so ill-equipped. May I ask why we bothered to capture her?

Securing her crossbow first, Tetro then tilts her head giving Hapax a look, "alright, ya knew wha, I said the first thing that came to me mind, aye it wasn't me best line but it worked, sooo there's that." her tail swishing to and fro with annoyance. Walking up to the structure holding the woman gives a nod then looks back "ow long before she git's out?"

"Well, I didn't see if she was armed, and I figured that on the off chance she was a hostage rather than a bandit, I'd better not run her through. And to answer your question",He didn't turn to address Tetro, but it was clear that that was who he was talking to. "about five seconds or so after I stop concentrating on it."

"right...well then up we go..." Without another word walks up to the stone wall then in a flash disappears,re-appearing at the top of the wall, looking down at the woman, tilting her head from side to side, gives a wink then closes her eyes, waves her hands a bit, muttering about taking over the pretty lady's brain. Another moment or two passes an Tetro is grinning from ear to ear "gotcha now, let's see what shall we have you do, oh ow aboot not run away, that'll be a good start."

Tetro Teleported up the wall holding the woman who is hostage not hostage? and is using mind sphere to control her thoughts so that when wall drops she doesn't run.

The woman's eyes glaze over for a moment as Tetro's magic takes hold.

"Sure, I'll stick around."

She makes no movements and continues staring at Tetro.

Hapax releases his concentration and the wall slowly crumbles into nothingness. "That's a neat little trick. Ask her if she's with these bandits"

Nodding Tetro still keeping focus on the woman, asks her "oye pretty lady...were you a 'ostage or were you ya know armed and dangerous?"

"You've got me dead to rights, I might as well answer. I am armed." she points down to the two daggers sheathed on her hips. "I got recruited to pull a job with the others and it turns out it was a lot more trouble than it was worth. We never thought they'd send an armored unit after us for such a small score." She keeps her arms crossed over her chest and her face shows the annoyance she feels at being caught.
